                <text>In this study we analyzed the magnetohydrodynamic forced convective flow of a nanofluid over a slendering stretching sheet in porous medium in presence of thermal radiation and slip effects. We presented dual solutions for no-slip and Navier slip conditions. Using self similarity transformation, the governing partial differential equations are transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations and solved numerically using bvp5c Matlab package. The effects of dimensionless governing parameters on velocity and temperature profiles of the flow are discussed with the help of graphs. Numerical computations are carried out and discussed for skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number. We found an excellent agreement of the present results with the existed results under some special conditions. Results indicate that the dual solutions exist only for certain range of velocity slip parameter. It is also found that the heat transfer performance is high in presence of velocity slip effect.</text>

                <text>An analysis is carried out to investigate the steady two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow of a Casson fluid over an exponentially stretching surface in the presence of thermal radiation and chemical reaction. Velocity, thermal and solutal slips are considered instead of no-slip conditions at the boundary. Stretching velocity, wall temperature and wall concentration are considered in the exponential forms. The non-linear partial differential equations are converted into a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations by similarity transformations. The resultant non-linear ordinary differential equations are solved numerically by fourth order Runge-Kutta method along with shooting technique. The influence of various parameters on the fluid velocity, temperature, concentration, wall skin friction coefficient, the heat transfer coefficient and the Sherwood number have been computed and the results are presented graphically and discussed quantitatively. Comparisons with previously published works are performed on various special cases and are found to be in excellent agreement.  </text>

                <text>The everyday growing populations all over the world and the necessity of increase in consumption of fossil energies have made the human to discover new energy resources, which are clean, cheap and renewable. Wind energy is one of the renewable energy resources. Considerable wind speed has made settling of wind turbines at sea beneficial and appealing. For this purpose, choosing the appropriate plates to set up wind turbines on the surface of sea is necessary. Regarding the installation condition, by choosing suitable geometry for floating breakwaters, offshore wind turbine can be mounted on them. Suitable geometry of breakwater for multifunctional usage could be selected with analyzing and comparing pressure, force and moment produced by incoming waves. In this article, we implement boundary element method to solve governing differential equations by assuming potential flow. On the other hand, for promoting free surface in each time step, we employed Euler-Lagrangian method. Finally, to find the appropriate geometry for installing the wind turbine on the breakwater, moment and wave profile next to the right and left side of breakwater body are calculated. Among simulated geometries, breakwater with trapezoid geometry which its larger base is placed in the water has more sustainability and it is the most suitable geometry for wind turbine installation.</text>

                <text>In this study, a Numerical model is carried out to study the effect of welding parameters on the temperature variations in Submerged Arc Welding process (SAW) with moving heat source model (Gaussian distribution) by using finite difference method (FDM). The proposed method is validated from the experimental results and found is in good agreement with results obtained by experimental. The mathematical model of transient thermal is also recognized to simulate Peak temperature. Finally Parametric effects on temperature profiles based on numerical results, are carried out for different weld parameters including welding speed, heat input, and plate thickness. It has been shown that all those parameters are playing an essential role in affecting the temperature distribution.</text>

                <text>Mathematical modeling of planing hulls and determination of their characteristics are the most important subjects in hydrodynamic study of planing vessels. In this paper, a new mathematical model has been developed based on pressure distribution. This model has been provided for two different situations: (1) for a situation in which all forces pass through the center of gravity and (2) for a situation in which forces don not necessarily pass through the center of gravity. Two algorithms have been designed for the governing equations. Computational results have been presented in the form of trim angle, total pressure, hydrodynamic and hydrostatic lift coefficients, spray apex and total resistance which includes frictional, spray and induced resistances. Accuracy of the model has been verified by comparing the numerical findings against the results of Savitsky's method and available experimental data. Good accuracy is displayed. Furthermore, effects of deadrise angle on trim angle of the craft, position of spray apex and resistance have been investigated.</text>

                <text>Heat transfer due to forced convection of copper water based nanofluid in the presence of buoyancy has been predicted by the Artificial Neural network (ANN) Gene Expression Programming (GEP). The present nanofluid is formed by mixing copper nano particles in water and the volume fractions are considered here are 0% to 15% and the Reynolds number are varying from 80 to 180. The buoyancy effect is done by introducing Richardson number (Ri) as 1 and -1. The back propagation algorithm is used to train the network. The present ANN and GEP models are trained by the input and output data which has been obtained from the numerical simulation, performed in finite volume based Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) commercial software Fluent. The numerical simulation based results are compared with the back propagation based ANN and GEP results. It is found that the mixed convection heat transfer of water based nanofluid can be predicted correctly by both ANN and GEP  but GEP is found more efficient. It is also observed that the back propagation ANN and GEP both can predict the heat transfer characteristics of nanofluid very quickly compared to standard CFD method.</text>

                <text>Shipbuilding is one of the most important manufacturing industries in Croatia involved in ships and offshore units production, maintenance, repair and installation with a significant impact on Croatian economy and society. Current state of the Croatian shipbuilding industry is presented herein, based on the most recent available data on global and domestic shipbuilding activities and important conclusions and recommendations for its future development are drawn considering current state of the world shipping and shipbuilding databases. Future perspectives are addressed through analysis of current negotiation potential of suppliers and buyers as well as with respect to the rivalry among competitors. An importance of stable financial background and development of the domestic industrial surroundings is pointed out. Along with that, current Croatian industrial 2020 strategy is addressed in order to enhance its application within the existing shipbuilding infrastructure as well as within Croatian economy. Finally, energy, food and entertainment market sectors are pointed out as the most perspective sectors capable of influencing future Croatian society, economy, science and technology.</text>

                <text>The present study investigates an analytical solution of free convective unsteady fluid flow in presence of thermal diffusion and chemical reaction effects past a vertical porous plate with heat source dependent in slip flow regime. The plate is assumed to move with a constant velocity in the direction of fluid flow, while free stream velocity is assumed to follow exponentially increasing small perturbation law. The velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are presented graphically for different values of the parameters entering into the problem. Finally the effects of pertinent parameters on the skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood numbers distributions are derived and have shown through graphs and tables by using perturbation technique.</text>

                <text>This article numerically studies for multi-physical transport of an optically-dense, free convective incompressible non-Newtonian second grade fluid past an isothermal, impermeable horizontal circular cylinder. The governing boundary layer equations for momentum and energy transport, which are parabolic in nature, have been reduced to non-similarity non-linear conservation equations using appropriate transformations and then solved numerically by employing with most validated, efficient implicit finite difference method with Keller box scheme. The numerical code is validated with previously existing results and found to be very good agreement. The results are reported graphically and in tabular form for various physical parameters; Deborah number, Prandtl number and thermal radiation on flow velocity and temperature profiles. Furthermore, the effects of these parameters on non dimensional wall shear stress (skin friction) and surface heat transfer rate (Nusselt number) are also investigated. Increasing the Deborah number reduces velocity profile, skin friction and Nusselt number where as it enhances the temperature profile. Increasing Prandtl number decelerates the flow velocity, temperature and skin friction but Nusselt number enhances considerably. Increase in radiation parameter retards the flow velocity, temperature profiles and skin friction. But Nusselt number enhances markedly with increase in radiation parameter. Applications of the model arise in polymer processing in chemical engineering, metallurgical material processing.</text>

                <text>The life cycle of a ship has an age limit related to its operation. When the ship economically is not profitable any more, it will be recycled or scrapped. Since the scrapped ship has plenty of hazardous materials, special care should be carried out to manage the wastes in accordance with the national and international available regulations. With regard to this a ship recycle yard that conducts ship breaking and recycle of the ships outfits, machineries, and infrastructure should be well designed in order to comply to all regulations that prevent it from producing harmful and polluting wastes to human and environment. The study was aimed to design an environmentally friendly or green ship recycle yard in Indonesia as a pilot project in anticipation to the booming of old used merchant ships fleet due to the implementation of cabotage principle. The project is located in the Maritime Industrial Cluster in Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province, Sumatera. The ship recycle yard is designed with a capacity of maximum 30,000 DWT ship to be recycled, and all the activities involve in the yard would comply and refer to the environmental and IMO regulations, to ensure that no harm and hazardous wastes polluting the surrounding land and sea by arranging a proper layout and providing proper facilities and working procedures.</text>
