<text>Digital literacy is critical in the current era of digitalization. Therefore, students are required to be digitally literate. This study aims to improve students’ digital literacy using an android-based e-module in chemical bonding. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pre-experimental design that included a pretest and posttest for one group. For this study, 70 preservice teachers (10 males and 60 females) from the Department of Chemistry Education at a private university in Indonesia were recruited. The Digital Literacy Questionnaire (DLQ) was used to measure students’ digital literacy. To analyze the data, we used paired t-tests and N-gain. The results indicated a significant increase in digital literacy scores before and after treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that using an android-based e-module significantly enhances students’ digital literacy on chemical bonds. Due to its effectiveness, we recommend teachers use this e-module to elevate students’ academic performance, in general, in chemistry.</text>

<text>IoT technology's rapid enlargement is implemented in developing automated devices that monitor real-time data. The device design uses the ESP32 Microcontroller, SHTC3 Sensor, BMP180, Windspeed Anemometer, Wind Direction Anemometer, and Tipping Bucket Rain Ombrometer to acquire the current data on weather parameters such as humidity, temperature, altitude, wind speed and direction, air pressure, and precipitation. Using the MQTT, WebSocket, and HTTP Request communication protocols, data transfer from these sensors visualize on the things board dashboard and chatbot telegram. The design of this real-time weather parameter monitoring system integrates with tomorrow's forecasts from BMKG's National Digital Forecast API data. This research carries an axiological approach that contributes to the benefits of the available methods and knowledge to provide more help or value. This research can contribute to the innovation and the development of real-time data observation system automation at BMKG Indonesia as an alternative recommendation to support observation density. In addition, implementing multi-protocol communication in the system can be a scientific reference for the benefits of communication in various outputs.</text>

<text>Mobile technologies are invading everyday life. Their use has extended to areas and aspects of life that we did not necessarily imagine before. That being said, all efforts have been pooled recently in order to extend its use to educational applications and above all to exploit its potential in order to guarantee the most optimal learning process possible. Learners tend to consult the teaching content in their mobile devices even if the learning objects are not necessarily designed for this specific environment. So it has become essential to adapt to this rapid technological evolution and to design learning systems that take into consideration this new dimension, hence the need to add this new pole in adaptive learning systems. This paper introduces architecture of an adaptive learning system designed for mobile devices. The system which is an extension of some previous works in the adaptive learning systems area is based on the learning styles of Felder-Silverman and an adaptive model that provides the learning objects based on the recommendations of a specific instructional model and using mainly a Bayesian Network. The developed architecture takes into consideration the context constraint related to the technical part of the mobile device which leads ultimately to a novel adaptive learning system designed exclusively to run in a mobile environment.</text>

<text>Tooth decay is a problem that occurs in every person. However, children are the most vulnerable due to their diet, the consumption of foods high in sugar and poor oral hygiene. Due to this problem, the design of a mobile application was developed with the objective of preventing tooth decay in children, encouraging good oral hygiene habits in children. The mobile application basically teaches the child with the help of 3D modeling the correct way to brush his or her teeth. In addition, of using the smartphone camera to capture a photograph of the teeth. In this way it performs the analysis applying artificial intelligence to diagnose if the patient presents symptoms of caries. Also, creates a dependency of the child on the application each time he/she brushes correctly. The application provides bonuses for progressing and unlocking new interactive features; this way, attention is captured and a good habit is maintained. The agile Scrum methodology was used because it presents an orderly structure and allows adaptability. Also, offers a wide variety of graphical tools and strategies capable of displaying information in a structured way.</text>

<text>Although mobile phone application developers aim to design software to be user-friendly, elderly users report having problems with flexible user interfaces. The purpose of this study was to examine a range of flexible user interface designs for mobile phones with the aim of locating and addressing the limitations reported by elderly users. Accordingly, a fuzzy model drawing on a range of variables was developed from an age/vision impaired related data set for the development of a variety of basic design elements for user interfaces. The model was tested to assess the preciseness and accuracy of its functions, achieving a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) close to 0 and an Effectiveness Index (EI) close to 1, giving the model a high value for effectiveness. A subsequent usability test of the generated design interfaces using four types of mobile phones (18 screens in all) was conducted among 25 elderly users with vision impairment. The findings showed that the size and shape of both numeric and function buttons was a significant factor in assessing phone usability both for communication and for social media use, as was text and number size, although, significantly, the latter was qualified by screen size. Recommended numeric and dial function button sizes are 15.6mm and 16.2 mm, respectively. Likewise, recommended text and numbers sizes are 14 and 25 points, respectively. Furthermore, square-shaped buttons with rounded-edge buttons are the most suitable for elderly users, as is a background in a light shade, with texts and icons in dark colors. The model demonstrates that it is possible to design user interfaces with particular groups in mind such as the elderly and vision-impaired, in order to enhance mobile phone usability for these groups.</text>

<text>Currently in Latin America hearing impairment is one of the main problems of society, especially in Peru, where there is a large percentage of hearing-impaired children without receiving some kind of adequate and viable education for their growth, being the main reason the little support by the government and the lack of technological tools to support inclusive education. For this reason, the present research work is generated, which has as main motive to support and help the benefit of educational inclusion and even better technological development for fundamental problems in society, especially those that affect the educational life. Therefore, the development of a mobile application aimed at educational inclusion for students, whether or not they are hearing impaired, was proposed. Therefore, a form was applied to 40 people, including parents of hearing-impaired students and teachers, in order to collect main requirements. In addition, the cascade methodology was used, being the most appropriate for the development of the mobile application, providing agility of development by having clear and precise requirements. Finally, it was concluded that the mobile application will generate different adequate and viable benefits for an inclusive educational environment for students with hearing impairment, through the development of a form established and directed to 50 people, among them the 40 people of the first form and 10 people specialized in the development and design of mobile applications.</text>

<text>Augmented reality is a ground-breaking technology that allows users to communicate with an enticing real-world experience to receive messages or knowledge. Today, mask inspection is essential to relay information to society through an augmented reality where extensive information about masks is required and identifying them is challenging. Furthermore, with augmented reality, society may have access to the fascinating way of getting information on the masks, assisting in spreading knowledge, particularly during this pandemic. The augmented reality on a visual inspection mask (ARVIM) was created utilizing 3D images on an Android smartphone platform. The models were created using Blender Animation and Unity 3D software. Vuforia Engine and Android Studio applications were used to build a personalized mobile Augmented Reality application. Google Cloud was used to store data that are accessible to users. ARVIM has facilitated teaching and interaction with 3D AR effects enjoyable for users. The analysis results on the use of ARVIM revealed that ARVIM obtained a high easiness rating of 80%. While 83% of respondents say ARVIM can help distinguish between different types of masks, 88% of respondents agreed that ARVIM's design is acceptable and approachable. This initiative enhances society's education in interactive and mixed-reality innovation settings through a long-distance and innovative teaching method that gives a comprehensive Google Platform experience.</text>

<text>The paper investigates the effectiveness of personal smartphones and other mobile devices for learning English at the tertiary level during hostility in Ukraine. The research methods included 1) general theoretical methods (analysis and synthesis); 2) empirical methods (quasi-experiment, observation, interpretation); 3) methods of mathematical statistics (Pearson’s criterion). The material of the research involved 80 students of the first year of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (Kharkiv, Ukraine) during spring semester of 2021/2022 academic year. There were two samples: the experimental group (N = 40) that learned the course of “Legal English” exclusively through mobile devices and the control group (N = 40) that had only traditional forms of learning. The results revealed that academic progress of the students of the experimental group have improved by 15%, while achievements of the students of the control group have deteriorated by 10%. The reliability of the results is confirmed by the methods of mathematical statistics (p-value = 0.25; the significance level was chosen as 0.05). The conclusion is that mobile learning technology, which is able to provide students with access to systematic online training; platforms containing different textbooks and other local and remote educational content; as well as various educational services may become a great teaching and learning tool.</text>

<text>Learning style is a significant learner-difference factor. Each learner has a preferred learning style and a different way of processing and understanding the novelty. In this paper, a new approach that automatically identify learners learning styles based on their interaction with the Learning Management System (LMS) is introduced. To implement this approach, the traces of 920 enrolled learners in three agronomy courses were exploited using an unsupervised clustering method to group learners according to their degree of engagement. The decision tree classification algorithm relies on the decision rules construction, which is widely adopted to identify the accurate learning style. As missing good decision rules would lead to learning style misclassification, the Felder-Silverman Learning Style Model (FSLSM) is used as it is among the most adopted models in the technology of quality improvement process. The results of this research highlight that most learners prefer the global learning style.</text>

<text>Teaching and learning to spell forms the basis for mastering English Language. The emerging mobile learning trends in the current 21st century education is useful in teaching and learning spelling. However, there were limited reviews about them. As such, a systematic review was conducted to provide an up-to-date synthesis on the mobile learning trends in supporting the mastery of spelling from year 2012 to year 2022. This review adhered to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses which is also known as the PRISMA guideline. Three databases were involved: Web of Science, Scopus and Educational Resources Information Centre. After a rigorous screening process, a total of 19 articles fitted its objectives. Firstly, significant findings from the studies portrayed the use of four platforms in mobile learning trends in supporting the mastery of spelling namely mobile apps, spell-checker apps, word prediction apps and text messaging apps. Secondly, the primary level of education was more dominant in the related studies than the secondary and tertiary levels. Thirdly, it emphasised more on the students with a lower prevalence on teachers and both teachers and students as the respondents in the associated studies. This paper contributes to systematically reviewing 19 eligible related studies through a step-by-step protocol of identification, screening, eligibility and included as in the PRISMA guideline to establish quality review. It benefits both the English Language teachers and students in utilising various mobile learning platforms to support the mastery of spelling at all levels of education. It aspires to foreground the paucity in this topic in which more substantial studies are required to address the research gaps. The ultimate goal is to impose effective and practical strategies to advance mobile learning trends in supporting the mastery of spelling.</text>
