This paper presents the results of a student survey conducted at  AL al-Bayt University to assess the quality of the electronic educational system (EES) during the coronavirus pandemic. The study variables addressed by the questionnaire were tangible physical features (TPFs), flexibility (FEES), examination construction and management (ECM); admission, storage, and registration management (ASRM), security and privacy (S&P), learning site content (LSC); and students’ level of satisfaction (LoS). The exploratory study methodology was applied to 324 students at AABU, where the research data were collected using a Google Docs questionnaire and distributed to students. The results highlighted that students were satisfied with the quality of EES implemented by  AABU during the lockdown period in terms of tangible physical features (TPF) and learning site content (LSC) and there was a statistically significant relationship between TPF and LSC. However, some undesirable features were reported, such as a lack of adequate infrastructure for students, which enabled them to interact effectively with their teachers to gain the target of applying EES.  Consequently, AABU needs to implement effective measures to improve and increase the quality and level of satisfaction with EES. Finally, electronic education is a more adapted, smooth, and affordable alternative than traditional face-to-face education. In that sense, Augmented Reality (AR) is a technological tool that takes on great importance in various areas and education is no exception. For this reason, this research describes the results of the development of an application with AR focused on helping in the study of human anatomy, being developed with ARCore technology and the Unity IDE, following the Mobile-D methodology. The results were analyzed in 3 indicators (amount of light required, time required for surface recognition, and ease of use of the application), of which in the first indicator a good performance was obtained requiring only 30 lux for recognition of illuminated flat surfaces; for the second indicator, it was obtained that the delay time is 3 seconds, which makes it acceptable; for the third indicator, it was obtained that 93% of participants interviewed in the research agreed that the application is easy to use and very easy to use. From the developed application was concluded that this, in general terms, has good performance in the sections of the amount of light required, the time required, and ease of use. The data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to notice the difference in students' achievement, while analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to test hypotheses and the effect size contribution. The population of the research is the fourth graders of an elementary school with a total of 60 students involved as the research samples. The test is to gain the data of the students’ critical thinking skills while the interview is to gain information regarding the students’ experiences with STEM autonomous learning city map. The findings revealed that there is a significant difference of the critical thinking skills between the students of both groups (Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed = 0.015, p<0.05). The critical thinking skills of the students in the experiment class were increased by 23.7%. In addition, compared to the students in the control group, those in the experimental group showed a more positive attitude towards their experiences of learning using STEM autonomous city map application. These embedded devices gather, analyze, and send vast data via the network. Data transmission security is a primary problem in IoT networks. Several lightweight encryption/decryption algorithms have been developed for such resource-constraint devices. One of most effective and fast lightweight encryption algorithms for IoT applications is the Tiny Encryption Algorithm (TEA). TEA has few lines source of codes to implement and based on Feistel structure to provide cryptographic primitive confusion and diffusion features in order to hide statistical aspects of plaintext. However, it is vulnerable to assaults using equivalent and related key attacks. This study suggested modifying TEA by employing a new proposed generating keys function using two Linear Feedback Shift Registers (LFSRs) as a combination to address the security flaw caused by utilizing different keys for each round function. The key sensitivity, Avalanche effect, and a completeness test were used to evaluate its security performance. The key sensitivity of the proposed modified TEA outperforms original TEA by 50.18 % to 44.88 %. The modified TEA avalanche effect outperforms TEA by 52.57 % to 47.69 %, and its completeness test outperforms TEA by 51.75 % to 48.36 %. Experimental results indicates that, the encryption performance of proposed modified TEA is better than original TEA. A new feature-based algorithm is proposed for measuring the word semantic similarity for the Arabic language. It is a highly systematic language where its words exhibit elegant and rigorous logic. The score of sematic similarity between two Arabic words is calculated as a function of their common and total taxonomical features. An Arabic knowledge source is employed for extracting the taxonomical features as a set of all concepts that subsumed the concepts containing the compared words. The previously developed Arabic word benchmark datasets are used for optimizing and evaluating the proposed algorithm. In this paper, the performance of the new feature-based algorithm is compared against the performance of seven ontology-based algorithms adapted to Arabic. The results of the evaluation and comparison experiments show that the new proposed algorithm outperforms the adapted word similarity algorithms on the Arabic word benchmark dataset. The proposed algorithm will be included in the AWN-similarity which is free open-source software for Arabic.
