<text>This article traces out the causes for why Nepal’s search for prosperity through transit diplomacy appears to be an un accomplished venture. Identifying different indicators of Nepal’s transit diplomacy, it specifies to what extent Nepal can execute its transit diplomacy and to what extent it cannot. This article also argues that Nepal’s proposal of trilateral ism to its immediate neighbours, India to the South and China to the North, itself, so far has not been institutionalized through any means of trilateral dialogues or ministerial-level meetings. It has only been reduced to the status of a metaphor merely inferring Nepal’s possibilities to bridge two emerging economies in the neighbourhood, which are, however, deemed as the prime actors of Easternization process itself. Hypothesizing that the venture of transit diplomacy has not gained sufficient momentum, this article does not only assess the reluctance of India in providing momentum to trilaterialism, but underlines Nepal’s lack of preparation and assertiveness which have actually sidelined her plausible role to make it happen at Nepal’s larger interest. The idea of trilateralism should, therefore, bear an institutional reality. Without such an institutionalization, Nepal’s quest for prosperity through transit diplomacy might not yield expected results, and shall always dwell on the status of an un accomplished venture.</text>

<text> Available literature on the role of small states in international relations has focused on the international system’s impact on the maneuverability of small states. The influence of domestic politics in determining the foreign policy goals of small states seems to have lacked enough deliberations. Identifying this research gap, this article aims to analyze the foreign policy behavior of small states, including Fiji and Nepal. More precisely, this write-up argues that the small states' behavior cannot be adequately comprehended if it is only assessed from the system level of analysis, as their behavior is not only influenced by external factors or the international system. This research sheds light on how domestic factors play an important role in shaping the foreign policy of small states. In this regard, the prime objective of the paper is to examine how the domestic events of 2006 in Fiji and Nepal influenced their post-2006 foreign policy agendas. The 2006 Military Coup in Fiji and the Second People’s Movement of 2006 in Nepal are examined here to appraise how foreign policy was devised and formulated to address the issues that arose out of these events, thus allowing the two countries to remain functional in the international society of states.</text>

<text>International security and its relevancy to nation’s stability are heavily influenced by the geo-political situation of a country. By geo-politics, it is a relationship among politics, geography, demography, and economics-especially in respect to foreign policy adopted by a nation within the region. It dictates the overall governmental policies. In other words, the power relationship is dictated by the geographic location of the country. Geo-politics is the study of the political and strategic relevance of geography in a pursuit to national and international power (Khanal, 2011). So, the location and the physical environment are important factors to decide international power structure of a nation in the global as well as in regional context. Geo-strategy is a branch of geo-politics that deals with strategy. It characterizes a certain geographic area that affects the analysis of a region (Dahal, 2009). In order to understand the importance of geo-strategy of Nepal, we need to understand geographical context of the Indian subcontinent as a whole. It is a self-contained region that includes India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. We may call the subcontinent “self-contained” because it is a region that is isolated on all sides by difficult terrain or by ocean. In geopolitical terms it is– an island (Friedman, 2008).</text>

<text>This research aims to develop a game to teach the theoretical concepts of the OSI reference model to students who must learn data communication and networking as a compulsory or an elective subject. The survey was administered to most students at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University by a questionnaire to assess a suitable game for students of this generation. The result showed that action games are the most popular game for them. Then, a script of the OSI reference model was drawn based on the theoretical contents and the software design and implementation were performed. After finishing this development process, 19 third-year undergraduate students majoring in information sciences at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University tested this system. The evaluation process was performed using pretest and posttest data analyzed by a paired samples t-test at a 95% confidence level. The result of this study shows that the action game ‘Packet Warrior’ is an efficient tool to help students improve their learning capabilities via fun and good relationships with friends. </text>

<text>The objectives of this research are to develop a game to promote the learning of the solar system in science subjects of 4th grade students, to compare the academic results of pre- and posttest of students after learning with the space travel game and to determine the satisfaction level of students with the space travel game. The sample group used in the experiment was 4th grade students from school T, and classes were randomized using the stratified random sampling method. Students were categorized into 2 groups: those with average scores and those with high scores in science subjects. The final results were compared between the control group, 27 students learning normally using the conventional method, and the experimental group, 27 students learning using the space travel game. There were 52 students in total. The tools used in this experiment are a space travel game, an achievement assessment test, a pre- and posttest, and a questionnaire to determine the satisfaction level of students. The statistical tools used are the mean, percentage, and standard deviation, paired t test, and t test independent. The results of this experiment showed that the experimental group learning from the game obtained a higher score than that of the control group by 1.19, on average. The scores of both groups were shown to have statistically significant differences at a 95% confidence level.</text>

<text>French travellers and adventures of the 17th and the 18th centuries had shown immense interest to explore the medical knowledge of the Orient. This article systematically analyzes their observations and evaluation on different diseases, symptoms and effects on patients which helped the travellers and adventurers of the later times by providing medical precautions to be taken before sailing on a voyage to the Orient. This article, based on many translated and un-translated records written in the form of letters, memoirs and travelogues by the French, who visited India, focuses on the varied facets given by them on medical knowledge and history of the Orient. Undoubtedly, the Portuguese and the English travellers also provided interesting accounts on oriental diseases, symptoms and their therapies but those given by the French are yet to be explored in detail.</text>

<text>Reading success is largely determined by reading comprehension. Thus accurate assessment of reading comprehension is necessary to identify those who require remediation and to plan future instructions in classrooms. Sentence verification technique (SVT) is one of the methods of assessing comprehension and can function as a diagnostic tool in reading assessment. The aim of the current study was to determine whether the SVT could detect gender and grade differences in reading comprehension. The study targeted 1091 elementary grade students comprising both boys and girls who were assessed using the SVT. The students read two text passages selected according to their grade level and responded to four sentence types - original, paraphrase, meaning change and distracter sentences. Independent sample t test highlighted that girls were significantly better than boys with regard to reading comprehension ability. One way analysis of variance to analyse grade differences indicated that there were significant improvements in reading comprehension ability with higher grades, thus highlighting the sensitivity of SVTs in detecting developmental changes in reading comprehension. The findings of this study emphasize the diagnostic potential of the SVTs with regard to identifying children with reading comprehension difficulties which in turn would help in planning their remediation. These SVTs can be easily developed by school teachers and other non-psychometricians for the purpoe of identifying students requiring assistance. The paper will discuss the finding, purpose and uses of SVT along with its classroom implications.</text>

<text>To do well in school and for enhanced academic success, effective Learning and Study strategies are important. The objectives of this research work were to determine gender differences, if any, in Learning and Study strategies in high school students and to find the relationship between these strategies and Academic achievement. To do this, Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) - Weinstein & Palmer, (2002) was administered to a group of 684, 8th std., school students, of which 363 were boys and 321 were girls. These students were selected from private schools of Bangalore; all the 4 zones – north, south, east, and west - were represented. All the students chosen were studying the state syllabus. The results of the research indicate gender differences in the following strategies – processing of information, motivation and selection of main ideas. No gender differences emerged for Academic achievement. Further, academic achievement was found to be significantly related to levels of anxiety, attitude, concentration ability, selection of main ideas, effective time management and test taking strategies.</text>
