<text>Thanks to rapid development of information technology there are many new tools that can be used for teaching and learning environment. In the long past, we had met classical classrooms where teachers had to use chalk to write done everything on the blackboard. Later, we have met new tools such as projection, desktop computers, smart boards, etc. in the classical classrooms. Nowadays, we have met with mobile devices. Mobile devices are magic tools which can be used for teaching and learning as a distance. Because of its mobility we do not need to join a classical classroom to listen to courses offered by our teachers any more. Now, we can join in virtual classroom which can be established on cloud. On the other hand, there are many social media applications which can be also used for teaching and learning. For example, it is now possible to teach courses by online where Facebook can be used as a supplementary tool. There are instructors who use Facebook as a learning environment where instructors and learners interact simultaneity on it. The Facebook has made a significant contribution towards solving the problems faced by practical education students during the period of practical education. There is an increasing trend in the study community to use Facebook in order to solve these problems. The aim of this research is to encourage instructors and students to teach and learn by using Facebook as part of a new system of education, namely online distance learning. In this study we explain how mobile devices and social media have been used during teaching and learning of courses at master studies’ level at the Department of Software Engineering of College of Technology at Firat University in Turkey. We will explore the advantages and disadvantages of Facebook in terms of teaching and learning environment and we will suggest some recommendations for using Facebook as a teaching and learning platform which have been resulted from our research. </text>

<text>A mobile wireless ad hoc network is formed dynamically without a need for a pre-existing infrastructure. This kind of dynamic networks has been used in commercial, cultural, and environmental applications including emergency situations. Managing such networks is a challenging task. In this paper, I propose a management solution that achieves reliable cluster management in clustered ad hoc networks. The solution is based on mobile agent technology. The cluster head performs many jobs to manage the cluster. My proposed idea is to distribute the CH jobs among some nodes called job-carriers. I implement each job in a mobile agent which resides on one of the job-carriers. Election of the job-carriers is based on a periodically calculated number called Connectivity Number (CN). Each node calculates its CN by counting its neighbors that fall in the 1-hop range of the cluster. The highest-CN nodes have the chance to be job-carriers. Simulation results show accomplishing semi-static structure and enhancing the performance of the ad hoc network.</text>

<text>The Feature Selection concept is the procedure where in the data is simplified removing the irrelevant features. Divergence method is another strategy of method where in the relation among the attributes and class is measured to understand their contribution to performance. Nowadays the mobile network is integrated with the other networks like the computer networks transmitting all kinds of data leading to attacks in networks known as intrusion in computer networks equally applicable to mobile communications. So in this paper the intrusion detection method involving the other other mode of communication is considered in mobile interaction network. The proposed algorithm performs feature selection using the divergence evaluation method to reduce the feature set. A 10% KDDCUP99 data set was used for the evaluation of the proposed algorithm, and performance metrics were evaluated using the C4.5 classifier. The metrics TPR, FPR and consistency were compared with the mutual information based DMIFSA, RMIFSA, MMIFSA methods and the proposed method is implemented on Python 3.8 that proved to achieve the high accuracy of 99.94% as compared to other methods and also reduce the redundant features. The consistency in Accuracy is maintained almost from 4 features to 10 features in proposed method as compared to other methods that indicates the stability of the system is achieved.</text>

<text>This paper presents the design and implementation of DLMA_NEU, adigital literacy mobile application for Android that targets children between ages 7 and 18. It is a developmental study aimed at designing a digital literacy mobile application the study conducted in the following three phases: Phase 1. Literature review; mobile application store search, and interviewing experts in children’s digital literacy, Phase 2 Smart phones app development and Phase 3 Accessing the functionality and usability of the app. Thirty students from Near East College and 5 experts were used throughout the research process. The App is the first digital literacy mobile application in Turkish.DLMA_NEUemploys children’s opinions and also adds the interactive option. To use the application, a child is required to register first. And to provide representation, the application currently supports two languages (English and Turkish). The application supports chatting with friends, and educates children (via videos, text, cartoons and jokes) on how to interact online. The application also serves as an avenue for children to report cyber bullying and other online issues as well assimultaneously acquiring informationon internet usage habits. DMLA_NEU is currently at the testing stage by children from TRCN.</text>

<text>Much of our scientific, technological, and economic future depends on the availability of an ever-increasing supply of computational power. However, the increasing demand for such power has pushed electronic technology to the limit of physical feasibility and has raised the concern that this technology may not be able to sustain our growth in the near future. It became important to consider an alternative means of achieving computational power. In this regard, DNA computing was introduced based on the usage of DNA and molecular biology hardware instead of the typical silicon based technology. The molecular computers could take advantage of DNA's physical properties to store information and perform calculations. These include extremely dense information storage, enormous parallelism and extraordinary energy efficiency. One of the main advantages that DNA computations would add to computation is its self - parallel processing while most of the electronic computers now use linear processing. In this paper, the DNA computation is reviewed and its state of the art challenges and applications are presented. Some of these applications are those require fast processing, at which DNA computers would be able to solve the hardest problems faster than the traditional ones. For example, 10 trillion DNA molecules can fit in one cubic centimeter that would result in a computer that holds 10 terabytes of data. Moreover, this work focuses on whether a large scale molecular computer can be built.</text>

The use of mobile devices in classroom triggers an alert of the impact it might have on students’ learning. This study investigates the association between the use of mobile phones during classroom and the learners’ performance and satisfaction. Results showed that students get distracted, and that this diversion of their attention is reflected in their academic success. However, this is not applicable for all. Some students received high scores even though they declared using mobile phones in classroom, which triggers a request for a deeper study.</text>

<text>The Irish Defence Forces is committed to increasing female participation to 12 per cent by 2023. However, numbers have never surpassed 8 per cent. Thisarticle aims to shine a light on a possible explanation or contributing factor of this by exploring the relationship between stereotypes, linguistic bias, andgender inequalities in the Irish Naval Service (NS). Building on Beukeboom and Burgers’ Social Categories and Stereotypes Communications (SCSC)framework, this study asks if gender stereotypes and gender biased language exist in the NS and, if so, how prevalent are they and what are theirconsequences on gender inequality in the organisation. This study highlights a reliance on gender roles within the NS which ascribe men a higher status than women and which view women as mothers. Consequently, women appear to be unfairly disadvantaged when it comes to career progression and advancement. The study also suggests that men are inclined to portray themselves in a more favourable light while also highlighting the negative behaviours of women. These findings support the notion that gender stereotypes and gender biased language are active in the NS and suggest a relationship between their use and gender inequalities in the NS. On this basis, it is recommended that NS adopts an integrated and continuous training programme that raises greater awareness of stereotypes, linguistic biases, and the negative consequences of their use. Further research is needed to identify further areas that stereotypes, and linguistic biases could be contributing to gender inequalities in the NS.</text>

In the present study, Crozier's (1995) shyness scale was employed to measure the level of shyness. Reaction times both for sound and light in simple and discrimination conditions were measured
through digital reaction time apparatus. A total of 358 (266 boys and 92 girls) college students served as subjects for the present study. Results revealed that shyness was not related to reaction times both for sound and light in simple and discrimination conditions indicating that shyness is independent of reaction time and it does not affect reaction time of the individuals.</text>

<text>China’s role as an emerging aid provider and the concept of a social plan in Africa has led to polarised responses in the West. Several say that this “productivist” strategy is much less determined by the concepts of citizenship, legal, social rights, and much more regarding building functions. The purpose of this study is to examine whether the welfare and social policy ideas that characterize Chinese aid in Africa are influencing traditional donors and becoming global. The article utilised a qualitative study that has two main components. First, a comprehensive content analysis of over 50 key Sino-African, Chinese and Western policy documents from 2000 (since cooperation between Beijing and African countries first became institutionalised). Second, there were semi-structured interviews with Chinese, African and Western stakeholders in Addis Ababa, (Ethiopia), who was directly involved in the relationship between China and Africa and related development issues. The result of documentation and interview analyses show that there are currently significant differences between Chinese and Western approaches. China has made much stronger and more explicit links between development aid and economic activity than most Western donors. The aid is usually implemented through specific projects rather than broader programs or policies.</text>
