<text>This paper describes the social profile of 200 physicians, practicing medical profession in Bangalore City of the State of Karnataka. The paper explores the personal, family and educational background of the physicians. This would enable us not only to have a social profile of the medical practitioners in the social system, but may also be of relevance in explaining their professional performance. An important finding of the study reveals that the proportion of those coming from higher social origins being marginally higher at 55 percent. It could be indicating to a trend in which the share of less privileged in higher ranking professions is on the rise. An attempt is made to understand the implications of social origin for other traits. The findings reveal that social origin varies significantly with rural urban background, basis for medical education, age at thinking of medical professions and educational grades of the physicians. However, it varies independent of gender, age and educational achievements of the physicians studied.</text>

<text>One of the oldest applications of sociology has been in the field of rural society, as more and more sociologists devoted their attention to the study of regional differences from the sociological point of view. The problem of education in modern societies cannot be over¬estimated. Hence, crucial need for the education of the rural masses is strongly felt. It is very fascinating to probe into the intricate realities pertaining to the background, aspirations and achievements of the students coming from rural and urban background in the field of higher education. In all 300 research scholars of Bangalore University drawn from rural and urban areas were studied by employing an interview schedule. Surprisingly, the data consist of 197 student scholars coming from rural areas. The findings seem to negate the much debated and lamented poor levels of representation, aspirations and achievements of rural students in the field of higher education. Further, the findings indicate that the identity of student scholars with rural background has significant and positive implications for gender, faculty, social origin and orientations.</text>

Learning sign language is a very big problem, either because access to information is scarce, there are no interpreters of this language or because learning of this language is not taught from an early age. This document shows the development of a mobile application with augmented reality following the mobile methodology and determining the influence it has on the Peruvian sign language learning process, with a sample of 30 students as a control group and an experimental group. It started with a performance percentage of 23 percent and using the mobile application significantly improved the performance of the sign language student by 65 percent.</text>

At present, in the markets the process of determining the state of maturity of fruits is carried out by employees using only their criteria, since this method is very broad and tedious when carried out, for this the present investigation was developed, in improving the process of determining the state of maturity of fruits. The article exposes the development of a mobile application with Arduino, based on Scrum, to improve the determination of the state of maturity of fruits in markets. Resorting to the use of pure experimental design with a sample of 30 data for each indicator. The results indicate that the margin of error when determining the resistances of the fruit with the application with respect to the multimeter was 4.73 percent and in determining the color of the fruit with respect to the sensor was 6.09 percent. It was concluded that the prototype fulfills its function of determining the state of maturity of the fruit by means of these 2 sensors implemented in the Arduino, having a minimum margin of error.</text>

In this context, the mobile application was developed to help the proper management of information of the sanitary measures of the Covid-19 in the area of public transport for the city of Lima, and this is compatible with Android and iOS; likewise, the Mobile-D methodology, helped to make such mobile application and to know the phases to proceed with the implementation, which has an impact on time, information management and user satisfaction. The results of the present document show that the level of user satisfaction increased to 67.5% of a sample of 200 people as the experimental group. It was concluded that the application made it possible to automate the management of information on Covid-19 sanitary measures in the field of public transportation.</text>

<text>As time goes by, it is evident that technology advances, Augmented Reality (AR) is an innovative technological tool that has emerged and has been highly attractive to users, allowing sharing information in a dynamic and realistic way. In the present systematic literature review (SLR), a search was conducted for manuscripts published in 6 databases between the years 2017 to 2022, related to the implementation of AR to improve the teaching-learning (TL) process of the Quechua language, which were analyzed and systematized using the prism methodology, obtaining as a result 56 manuscripts that supported to answer the research questions, where the various factors that allow improving the TL process of the Quechua language and the various benefits generated by its implementation were identified. It is concluded that, according to the results, the application of RA in the TL of the Quechua language is an efficient and productive tool; however, it can also be a source of distraction in the study, so it is necessary to have a good management of this methodology and of the study environment to obtain better achievements. For this reason, a model is proposed to serve as a basis for the proper management in the implementation of RA to improve the process of Quechua language TL.</text>

<text>Abstract—Previous research has shown that peer assessment has beneficial effects on students’ learning. Inspired by the need of students to involve peer assessment for gaining some constructive feedback for their works, such as in translation and writing courses, we developed an android-based e-rubric. Android was favored as the assessment platform due to its customizability and affordability. Two classes of English Department with 54 students participated in this research. Interviews and focus-group discussions were conducted to obtain data for needs analysis and collect users’ feedback, whereas the online survey was done to measure the students’ satisfaction. The e-rubric was developed through eight stages: (1) needs analysis, (2) development of rubrics, (3) expert validation, (4) creating the e-rubric app, (5) implementation, (6) users’ feedback, (7) product refinement, and (8) survey of users’ satisfaction. The results show that the developed e-rubric app is useful for supporting collaborative works among students as it allows them to assess each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Moreover, the android platform gives them a handy-and-engaging experience for completing the assessment. In this paper, we review relevant literature justifying the development of the app, outline the formulation steps, and explain how the app can be used in the classroom. Taking the limitations of the app development into account, we propose some recommendations for future research.</text>

In 4.0 era, the use of technology can be used to make teaching materials in the form of e-modules or electronic modules using the Kvisoft Flipbook application. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, practicality, and student responses to the design of the number pattern e-module based on mathematical creative thinking skills using the kvisoft flipbook application so that it can be used as a learning resource for students both in the classroom learning process and independent learning. The method used in this study is a research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The data collection technique used is through a validation questionnaire, user practicality questionnaire and student response questionnaire to e-modules. The results of the study show that this e-module is very feasible to use with the results of material expert validation, media expert validation, user practicality, and student responses to e-modules. Based on the results of this study, the design of the e-module using the kvisoft flipbook maker application based on mathematical creative thinking skills is appropriate for use in the learning process for class VIII number pattern material</text>

<text>This paper studies the fluctuating forces on a plane surface beneath a circular cylinder in the subcritical flow regime using two-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The turbulent flow fields were calculated via numerical solutions of the Navier–Stokes (N–S) equations without a turbulence model (laminar flow computation), large eddy simulation (LES), and Reynolds-Averaged N-S equations (RANS) approach with the shear-stress transport (SST) turbulence model. The primary goal is to evaluate the performance of 2-D turbulence simulation with different approaches and to have preliminary knowledge of the forces on the plane which is important in studying scours and flow-induced vibration in ocean engineering. Results show that although a coarse mesh scheme can only obtain potential flows, the laminar approach with high mesh resolution can adequately simulate turbulent flows at moderate Reynolds numbers. Spatially, the fluctuating forces on the plane surface due to the flow are significant within three times the cylinder diameter in the downstream, and within one cylinder diameter in the upstream of the cylinder. The pressure fluctuations are approximately two orders of magnitude larger than the shear stress fluctuations. In the frequency domain, the fluctuating forces are significant under twice the vortex-shedding frequency. Within one cylinder diameter in the downstream and upstream regions of the cylinder, the pressure fluctuations on the plane surface are well correlated, while the shear stress is not so well correlated.</text>
