<text>Traditionally, the concept of national security was always associated with the protection of the territorial integrity of the country's borders against any external aggression. Post the Cold War, Human Development Report (HDR) 1994, introduced a new concept of human security, which was a historic departure from the traditional concept of national security. In this concept, much greater stress has been laid on the security of the people through sustainable human development programmes. National security, therefore, has two broad dimensions: traditional and non-traditional. All threats and challenges that impact “human security” are a part of the nontraditional dimension of national security. Similarly, the Commission on Human Security (CHS), constituted in 2000, defines human security as protection of the vital core of all human lives in ways that enhance human freedoms and human fulfillment. It means protecting people from critical and pervasive threats and situations. Based on the threats that influence “human security,” HDR 1994 categorised seven main threats to human security: economic security; food security; health security; environmental security; personal security; community security; and political security.</text>

<text>We live in an age where stories of war, disease, hatred and celebrity wardrobe decisions spread at the speed of light. Some activists see waste and ignorance that needs to be toppled — others among us see an opportunity to widely disseminate a story that also speaks to people’s fears, indignance and boredom, but swiftly moves them to an inspiring new vision of what is possible for them to create here and now. It appears we have the raw materials for such a thing: The task of turning cynicism and apathy around has, in fact, a grounding in recent Ivy-League, Nobel Prize-winning psychological research. Tesla Motors' slick electric cars make headlines and high stock prices, with promises of bigger industrial feats to come. Better Block’s citizen activist- entrepreneurs, though without explicitly environmental aims, take over and renovate abandoned lots and storefronts with a joyful and reckless glee that's already gone viral. The idea that one could wrap these names, and the stories they represent, into a bigger and more powerful narrative — a story that reframes environmentalism as a sane, responsible, happy, energetic, and even profitable endeavor that inspires even the most apathetic to act — is less unthinkable. </text>

<text>Geriatric Social Work is becoming ostensibly crucial in contemporary times. The modes and modalities being discussed in strengthening geriatric well-being deserve mammoth attention. In this context, Yoga Therapy is being envisioned as one among the strides towards Successful Ageing. The practice of Yoga in India can be traced to thousands of years back and has rolled down to generations through innumerable strategies. Yoga is considered as a practical philosophy that facilitates people to improve their Quality of Life. It is a discipline that has evolved in response to the problems in contemporary society without losing its true essence. Research in the field of Yoga Therapy advocates it to be the best means to ensure the quality living, especially in old age. Yoga helps to mitigate, alleviate, and reverse many of the geriatric problems, both physical and mental. The proposed paper is based on an experimental study conducted among elderly people in Kerala. The paper describes Yoga in its essence based on Patanjaly Yoga Sutra thereby scientifically analyzing its effect on our body. It emphasizes the practicality for quality living in old age and provides suggestions for successful ageing.

Managing a chronic illness such as epilepsyinvolves more than managing medical problems. Socialworkers, as change agents, can fulfil their roles aseducators, counsellors, and patient-advocates by helpingpatients and families to gain insight into the implicationsof chronic illness. The present cross sectional study wasconducted among the Master of Social Work (MSW)students specialising in Medical and Psychiatric SocialWork, with an attempt to look at the Knowledge and Attitude about Epilepsy. All the respondents had heardabout Epilepsy. The study revealed that while there isgood awareness about Epilepsy among the students, majority of them felt that persons with Epilepsy shouldhave restrictions in movement (84%) and that they havelimitations in employment (58%). The implications of thestudy from knowledge development, research andpractice are discussed.</text>

<text>This article tries to enrich the conceptual debate and discussions among international relations and strategic studies scholars regarding explanations of weak actor‟s victories against strong actors in military conflicts. For longtime strategic studies scholars have tried to find the most relevant and valid explanations on the reasoning on how a weak actor can achieve victory in asymmetric conflict despite overwhelming inferiority in terms of power. Previous strategic studies scholars have proposed competing hypothesis ranging from regime type, balance of interests to the types of strategic interaction between the two actors. In this essay, the author would like to underline the significance of fog of war or uncertainty as a significant contributing factor during strategic interactions at tactical-operational towards shaping either a favorable or vice-versa unfavorable war conditions for the weak actor to modify pre-war political objectives of the asymmetric conflict. In this analysis, the 2006 Lebanon War is taken as a case study of the asymmetric conflict between the strong and weak actor. The result strengthened the notion that there is no single variable but a multitude of variable which explains asymmetric conflict outcomes.</text>

Adequate teaching materials are needed so that prospective professional teachers can quickly learn learning materials using the latest learning facilities and meet the demands of 21st-century learning. The main material that must be mastered by prospective professional teachers of the Construction and Housing Engineering Expertise Program include statics, building construction, construction drawings, and construction management. The number of materials contained in each main material requires mapping of essential competencies that must be mastered by prospective professional teacher students as the basic material for learning the Construction and Housing Engineering Expertise Program. The essential competencies that have been identified are used as materials for developing 3D AR-based learning media that can be delivered online so that they can be accessed by students without being limited by the dimensions of space and time. The results of the development of learning media will make it easier for prospective professional teacher students to learn the main content.</text>

<text>The e-learning system is one of the most common methods for improving student performance and the ongoing goal of using e-learning in higher education. The most popular kind of e-learning system is a big one that is used at the college level, including Moodle, MOOCs, and e-learning systems. A rigorous review of various e-learning tools that can be used to raise students' performance is presented in this paper. Based on a survey of the literature, a comparison was established between the key elements employed in e-learning. The method used was to extract the common elements used in more than one popular model, then to connect these factors to e-learning. In order to create a better model with full element constraints, this paper also includes extracting causal links between these aspects. The analysis's finding is that the most recent models accepted for use in raising student performance are TAM2, TAM3, and ECT. This study reveals the framework used to highlights the easy and popular factors according to the updated related studies.  </text>

<text>Mobile apps have penetrated the market and are being used everywhere. Companies developing apps face increasing challenges such as short time to market or demand for high quality. Furthermore, the success of an app also depends on how users perceive its quality. Feedback provided by users influences other potential users and provides new opportunities for identifying features. Consequently, it is a valuable source of input for app developers with respect to product improvements. One form is textual feedback. This kind of feedback is usually distributed across various data sources. Therefore, it must be captured from these sources and put into one single pool of data before it can be analyzed. The analysis must take into account the peculiarities of the short release cycles and high change rate of features for mobile apps. In this article, we present User Echo Service (UES), which was built to address heterogeneous data sources.  The aim of UES is to allow product managers to be able to be always up to date with the latest feedback data. Therefore, we have created an extensible architecture aimed at supporting different data sources and present the feedback collection scheduling system. This forms the prerequisite for subsequent analyses of the collected data. We discuss our solution and provide ideas for future development.</text>

<text>Energy wastage through irresponsible smartphone use comprises a significant sum. Using a secondary desk-based literature review, this paper evaluates con-temporary literature to calculate an approximate estimate of the amount of energy wasted through irresponsible smartphone use by US users on an annual basis. Conservative estimates purely based on overcharging of smartphones in the US suggest that the figure is in excess of US$400m per annum. A variety of factors contribute to irresponsible smartphone use, which are predominantly behavioral in nature. This paper highlights some of the impacts of excessive smartphone use and considers steps which might be taken by users themselves to reduce energy wastage during smartphone use. In addition, suggestions are made to manufac-turers to help them ‘nudge’ users into more responsible behavior through the principles of behavioral economics.</text>

In this inventory model instead of linear demand function nonlinear exponential function of time for deteriorating items with deterioration rate has been considered. The effects of inflation and cash flow are also taken into account under a trade-credit policy of discount and without discount with time. In order to validate the model, numerical examples have been solved by bisection method deploying Matlab.  Further, in order to estimate the cash flow the sensitivity of different parameters is considered.</text>
