<text>Europe has seen an alarming increase of populist parties throughout the last two decades. The European debt crisis has only added to their strength and support, and Eurosceptic attitudes have only increased, as exemplified by the recent Brexit vote. However, this exploratory paper will argue that the crisis to which populism has given rise allows the EU to critically reflect on itself and fix many of the fatal flaws that the increase in populist support has pointed out. It will be argued that the EU needs to create a strong civic society to help mend its democratic deficit. Finally, it will be argued that by incorporating particular elements of populist thought and critique (i.e., democratization and fairer economic policies), that is, implanting an “alter-europeanization,” that the ugly side of populism (its xenophobia and racism) will begin to lose support within European countries.

<text>This paper aims to examine Indonesia’s leadership in ASEAN as the regional organization advances its community building in areas of political-security. Indonesia, the largest state in Southeast Asia both from geographic and economic size, is known for its de facto leadership within the regional integration process of ASEAN. Such integration is mostly prominent in areas of multilateral engagement, conflict management, and democracy as well as human rights promotion. With President Joko Widodo at the helm of Indonesia’s presidency since October 2014, Indonesia has reoriented its foreign policy cornerstone on ASEAN into other channels that best serve its national interest. As Indonesia repositions its focus from ASEAN, there is a need to evaluate whether the trajectory of ASEAN Political-Security Community will continue to thrive under the consensual decision-making process among its ten member states known as ASEAN way. To evaluate Indonesia’s leadership in the advancement of ASEAN Political-Security Community under President Joko Widodo, the paper will review Indonesia’s initiatives to ASEAN and how they contribute towards Southeast Asia’s regionalism. Subsequently, three areas of Indonesia’s leadership in ASEAN Political-Security Community building will be examined: the maintenance of ASEAN Centrality, South China Sea dispute management, and promotion of democracy and human rights. The paper concludes that ASEAN way works not only when ASEAN member states find a common ground on regional issues that affect their respective domestic politics. A presence of informal and voluntary leadership where “matured” member states bring about initiative and persuasion is needed to maintain ASEAN’s strategic relevance in Asia-Pacific. For this reason, Indonesia’s legitimacy as an informal leader in ASEAN plays an important role to ensure that the organization remain united and central to its member states. Keywords: ASEAN Political-Security Community, Indonesian Foreign Policy, Regional Leadership </text>

Wireless mobile devices like smartphones, PDAs and tablets, could be used to benefit students’ learning in or out of the classroom. <text>Nowadays the development of the Mobile Learning (ML) in children’s progress is thought significant. However, its role in special preschool education is recognized crucial, as it is a tool that can foster the knowledge and the experiences for this sensitive age. The support of specific areas in preschool education according to the educational perspective is thought significant with the maintenance of the mobile applications. In this paper we present a brief overview of the most representative studies of the last decade (2005-2015), which concentrates on skills that are examined in special kindergarten (early literacy, early mathematics, cognitive, social-emotional) and are supported by the mobile learning. The effectiveness of mobile applications in children who are autistic and face attention deficit problems is examined. The role of mobile learning in preschool children who face mental problems is also investigated.</text>

<text>This study evaluates the use and efficacy of mobile technology in assessment and intervention of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Learning and behavioral data for assessment can be captured and interpreted through mobile technology, but the complexity of irrespective data in special education can sometimes discourage stuff from using it. In the field of intervention, mobile technology in conjunction to ad hoc applications for ASD individuals can provide major contribution. Needless to say that speech generating devices (SGDs), especially if they are portable, are very supportive tools for autistic persons, who mostly suffer from limited speech. The use of mobile technology to enhance academic skills among others is being investigated. Although this technology is new, the autistic community expressed their enthusiasm in it. If all the parties involved, such as educators, caregivers, sufferers and families could participate in the design and implementation of the appropriate apps, they would suit best ASD individuals’ needs and would provide them a better life quality.</text>

<text>Nowadays preschool education is considered crucial for a child’s development. Recent researches    support the view that the role of kindergarten in children’s progress is very important, as this age is sensitive for their future academic and social life. The use of mobile learning is recognized as a tool that can foster the knowledge and the experiences for this age and the support of specific areas according to the educational perspective. In this paper we try to give a brief overview of the most representative studies of the last decade (2005-2015), which focus on the skills that are explored in kindergarten and are supported by the mobile applications. The effectiveness of mobile learning in special preschool education is also explored.</text>

<text>Mobile devices, such as mobile phones and personal digital assistants, have gained wide-spread popularity and are part of the everyday life of billions of people. Today’s mobile phones represent a rich and powerful computing platform, given their sensing, processing, social and communication capabilities. Empathy is the ability to identify with and understand another person’s situation and feelings. Our ability to empathize affects how well we communicate our thoughts and feelings with others, how well we understand others, and how comfortable people feel communicating with us. Mobile devices have made a huge step in trying to cultivate empathy to people and different social groups through interesting applications.</text>
