That it was admitted and used in ways that were disengaged from scientific research reveals a great deal about our adversarial system — of pleas, rules of admissibility, trial safeguards, standards of proof, and heavy reliance on the technical competence of lawyers and judges. This article draws on contemporary scientific research to explain how more than a century of routine legal reliance, along with quite a few admissibility challenges, produced few meaningful responses and no apparent endogenous understanding of the limitations of latent fingerprint comparison. Trial personnel and trial safeguards did not lead to the identification, recognition and communication of methodological problems, uncertainties or the frequency of error. SMS-based technologies were introduced in response to studentsâ?? particular needs (in transition to Higher Education) and characteristics (â??digital nativesâ??). Despite being unaccustomed to using their mobile phones for academic study, students willingly participated in SMS communication with their tutor via a texting management service. Drawing on evidence from two student surveys, focus groups and a tutorâ??s journal, we illustrate the potential that mobile SMS communication has to link and establish continuity between face to face teaching sessions and online learning activities in the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Many students perceived the SMS communication to have had a positive impact on their management of study time. We link our findings with the existing literature and argue that mobile text based communication has the potential to support the development of time management skills, an important component of self regulatory learning, a skill which has been shown to be key in making a successful transition. However, much of the literature on the subject of Gorbachev and German unity interprets events using security and economics as having dictated Soviet policy of the period. This paper discusses Materialist, Realist, and Constructivist theories and their necessary interaction to provide a more thorough analysis of Gorbachev's role in German unity. It argues not only that German Unification was the unforeseen byproduct of Gorbachev's policies meant to revitalize the Soviet economy, but also that German unity was not possible until Gorbachev's economic and security concerns for the USSR's future were allayed. These concerns were not addressed by traditional measures, but through the trust developed between Gorbachev, West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, and the Federal Republic of Germany. The use of technology in education also makes students more independent in learning. One form of technology is augmented reality. Augmented reality is a technology to produce and combine virtual objects into the real world. In learning robotics, there are several problems, namely limited costs and the limited number of tools. Obstacles to learning robotics in addition to the cost and number of tools, namely the limited time and condition of the class that must be arranged so that it is not chaotic. In this study, will be discussed on the development of an augmented reality mobile application named ARROBO. The purpose of making ARROBO is to overcome the problem of limited costs and the limited number of tools. In addition to discussions about development, this paper will also be presented on the results of the feasibility test of the learning media. Based on the results of the feasibility test using ISO 25010, the results obtained in the functional suitability aspect obtained a score of 100%, the portability aspect obtained a score of 100%, media expert ratings obtained a score of 90%, and usability aspects obtained a score of 84%. In addition, the assessment of material experts obtained 100% results on aspects of material accuracy. Based on these results it can be concluded that the ARROBO application belongs to the "Very Worthy" category to use.
