<text>In the most recent few years, there has been a meteoric rise in the number of different wireless networks, as has the demand for wireless data services and multimedia applications. An improvement in quality of service (QoS) is required in order to meet the ever-increasing demand while also providing a service that is of a higher standard. One of the most cutting-edge technologies, known as World Wide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WIMAX), was developed with the quality of service in mind during its development. Despite utilizing the most recent advancements in technology, the WiMAX network continues to struggle with QoS performance issues. A brand new distributed Client-Server model was designed for the fixed WiMAX Network in order to reduce application response time. This was done in order to improve the quality of service performance. In order to make a comparison with the existing centralized model, the performance of the proposed model was analyzed with OPNET Modeler 16.0. According to the findings, the newly proposed distributed Client-Server system is capable of satisfying the requirements set forth by its users owing to an improvement in QoS performance in terms of application response time when compared to the conventional model. The performance of the network was increased by the deployment of more Base Stations (BSs), Subscriber Stations, and the utilization of client-server Base Stations that were chosen by the Nearest Neighborhood Algorithm that was devised</text>

<text>A model of distributed storage split data using algorithms, multidimensional parity, resistance to partial losses of the storage sites, is regarded as an alternative way of security that can replace the conventional multiple reservations and carrying costs of growth of the physical volume. In this model, the generated redundant data allows you to restore partial loss of the split parts. In this case, the recovery is performed at the expense of the parity files formed during the splitting procedure, in which the main action is the calculation of bitwise parity with summation modulo "two". With this additional operation between the source files, you can restore the corrupted file without distortion. A comparison with several models that use checksum codes for recovery shows that the estimated probability of losses due to storage failure in the case of multidimensional parity codes is significantly less than when using other split data storage options. Using the operation of adding the bits of undamaged files, you can completely restore corrupted files. According to the calculated data, even when theoretically non-recoverable losses are reached, it is always possible to find combinations of chain recovery. The complexity of alternative methods, including the iterative decoding method, makes a distributed split data storage system using multidimensional parity algorithms a more convenient error correction technology.

<text>The English School of International Relations is one of the long-established theoretical approaches in IR that systematically explores the purpose and the character of international order at the macro-level of international politics. It does so by analysing deeply embedded (the so-called primary) institutions and other related institutional elements, norms and practices. This paper aims to introduce how the English School theoretically conceptualise and analyse international order. The paper synthetises the core argument of the English School, discusses how recent debates develop it and which key cleavages are present in the English School. I argue and demonstrate that the English School has been dynamically evolving in the last two decades and that it can contribute to our understanding of the changing world. The paper also encourages developments of the English School research in the Czech academic context.</text>

<text>Several researches examined students' mathematics learning using mobile phones, while very few researches examined mathematics teaching using this new educational tool. This research attempts to analyze in-service and pre-service teachers' attitudes and decisions regarding mathematics teaching with mobile phones using activity theory. More specifically, three case studies are analyzed in this research: One concerns an in-service teacher who used mobile phones in her class, the second case study involves a pre-service teacher who collaborated with the in-service teacher to teach mathematics lessons using mobile phones, and the third case study is about 15 pre-service teachers who were observers of the experiment but did not use mobile phones in their teaching. We held one-hour semi-structured interviews with the in-service teacher, with the leading pre-service teacher and with the group of other observer pre-service teachers. This happened three times during the academic year: at the beginning of the experiment, after three months and after it ended.
The research findings indicate that different factors have an impact on the attitudes and decisions of the teacher: history of the teacher using technologies in teaching, perceptions of the teacher using technologies in teaching, community’s teacher, rules regulating the use of technologies in teaching mathematics, and division of labor. For example, questions as to who decides which technologies to use in the classroom and who should prepare the learning material for the students. Contradictions were identified in mathematics teachers' activity when utilizing mobile phones in their teaching. These contradictions hinder or slow such utilization. Community, especially its leading members, mediated and helped overcome the activity contradictions that arose throughout the experiment regarding the teaching processes in and/or out of the mathematics classroom.</text>

<text>Many teaching and learning tools incorporate current technologies for the learners to gain new knowledge thus increasing the efficiency of learning. Some of the technologies adopted in the mobile-based education systems are virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality. In the Biology field, one of the problems faced by the learners is the difficulties in visualizing the human cell division process in the topic of mitosis and meiosis. Thus, many innovations which adopt these technologies are created to improve the understanding and interest of the learners. In this work, an interactive mobile learning application with virtual reality technology has been designed and developed to help learners visualize the human cell division process. The mobile application which is known as InCell VR also includes mini games which can help to test and improve the learners’ understanding. The InCell VR was developed using Unity, a game engine platform for developing high performance commercial game. The final evaluation assesses two parts: the learners’ knowledge gain after using the application and usability evaluation of the application. The usage of the proposed application was seen to give positive impact on the development of learners’ knowledge from the pre- and post-test testing sessions. The usability study showed that InCell VR application is useful, easy to be used and learnt, and give satisfactions to the users.</text>

<text>With the spread of mobile smartphone apps among consumers, they have also become increasingly important for e-commerce companies in recent years to attract customers. A central challenge in the use of smartphone apps by companies is the acquisition and activation of new app users. This case study examines how incentives like coupons and bonus points to download an e-commerce app via other smartphone apps, so-called "medium apps", have an effect. After a review of existing literature on similar topics, hypotheses regarding the probability of installation and actual app usage are developed and tested in an experiment. The hypotheses can be confirmed to a large extent, but especially coupons for the advertised online shop that publishes the e-commerce app do not show the expected effect. Further research questions are identified and practical recommendations for app marketing are derived.</text>

<text>Currently in Latin America hearing impairment is one of the main problems of society, especially in Peru, where there is a large percentage of hearing-impaired children without receiving some kind of adequate and viable education for their growth, being the main reason the little support by the government and the lack of technological tools to support inclusive education. For this reason, the present research work is generated, which has as main motive to support and help the benefit of educational inclusion and even better technological development for fundamental problems in society, especially those that affect the educational life. Therefore, the development of a mobile application aimed at educational inclusion for students, whether or not they are hearing impaired, was proposed. Therefore, a form was applied to 40 people, including parents of hearing-impaired students and teachers, in order to collect main requirements. In addition, the cascade methodology was used, being the most appropriate for the development of the mobile application, providing agility of development by having clear and precise requirements. Finally, it was concluded that the mobile application will generate different adequate and viable benefits for an inclusive educational environment for students with hearing impairment, through the development of a form established and directed to 50 people, among them the 40 people of the first form and 10 people specialized in the development and design of mobile applications.</text>

<text>Theatrical activities have been used to promote an authentic learning environment. However, the incorporation of simple daily technology, like smartphones, to enable students to produce a video of their theatrical activities has not been explored in the Indonesian language learning classroom. This paper documents a video project conducted by lower secondary school students at a private school in Jakarta, Indonesia to examine whether a video project task could help create an authentic learning environment in a language classroom setting. Although the benefits of theatrical activities to promote authenticity in students’ learning experiences are evident in the literature, only a few students have access to such benefits. Many students were reluctant to get involved in the theatrical activities prepared by the teachers and only one cohort of students successfully completed the advertisement video assignment. Teachers’ instructional issues as well as students’ motivation and commitment to work collaboratively were identified as the barriers to produce the video.</text>
