The Social Competence Model focuses on five domains of social competence viz. self concept, pro-social behaviour, goal orientation, resilience, and rational thinking. The intervention was conducted among 37 students selected from a government school of which 34 students completed the 18 hours intervention programme. Paired sample t- test of pre and post test scores revealed significant changes in all domains of the social competence model viz. self concept, goal orientation, pro-social behaviour, resilience and rational thinking. Significant changes were observed in all the sub domains of pro-social behaviour viz. empathy, communication, assertiveness and cooperation (p<0.05). Correlation revealed consistent positive change among all the participants in the domains of self concept, communication skills and problem solving skills. The study thus confirmed the efficacy of the Social Competence Model for enhancing the social competence of adolescents. However self-monitoring on a Smartphtone comes with some challenges such as unavailability of lightweight classification algorithm, personalized dataset to completely capture bodily postures, subject sensitivity, limited storage and computational power. However, most classification algorithms such as Support Vector Machines, C4.5, Naïve Bayes and K Neighbor relies on larger dataset to accurately predict human activities. In this paper, we present top-k of compressed small personalized dataset to reduce computational cost with increased accuracy. We collected top-k personalized dataset from 13 recruited subjects. After benchmarking our collected dataset we found that the dataset is suitable for tree-oriented algorithm, especially the Random Forest, C4.5 and Boosted tree with accuracy and precision of 100% except for KNN, Support Vector and Naïve Bayes. Further, our top-k personalized dataset improves pruning and overfitting of tree-oriented algorithms. Moreover, the linear consistence of static human activities reveals the potential of our top-k dataset to be replicated to multiple-subject to close subject sensitivity challenge. The bridgehead formed when the German Seventeenth Army withdrew into the Taman Peninsula as Army Group A retreated from the Caucasus in the wake of the defeat at Stalingrad. Seventeenth Army held the position through the spring, summer and autumn of 1943, before withdrawing to the Crimea. The campaign can be viewed as an interesting microcosm of the entire German-Soviet war. Many of the events and trends of the wider war can be seen at a smaller scale in the Kuban: the seemingly unstoppable German advance that was halted against the odds in a shattered industrial area, and the gradual and often unsteady transformation of the Red Army from the chaos and catastrophe of the early period of the war to a skilfully led and professional fighting force, in parallel with the Wehrmacht’s gradual but inexorable decline in both quantitative and qualitative terms. The entire rationale for holding the bridgehead is an early example of Hitler’s inflexible and unrealistic strategic vision as the tide of war turned, and the campaign fell under post-war rewriting of history by the Soviet leadership to overstate the contributions of senior political figures and erase mistakes and defeats from the record. The campaign has been largely overlooked in the published English language history of the war. This article addresses that lack of attention, providing a detailed exploration of the campaign based on German and Russian sources to offer new insight and understanding of a rarely analysed part of the war. This is achieved by carbothermic reduction of ilmenite ore along with varying amount of steel scrap in a plasma reactor in one step. Three composites containing TiC particles varying from 4 to 9% have been prepared. Microstructures of composites show TiC particles in the matrix of transformed ledeburite (pearlite and cementite). Distribution of TiC particles has been found to be satisfactorily uniform and size varies from 2 to 3 microns. Composite having 9 vol% has shown non-uniform distribution of TiC particles and size variation from 2 to 8 microns. In 9% TiC composites, graphite flakes have also been found. It has also been observed that composite having TiC content greater than 9 % becomes very difficult to cast because of higher viscosity of the melt during pouring. These composites have been characterized by hardness measurement, optical microscopy, FESEM, and XRD. Hardness of these composites has been found to depend on vol.% of TiC and on the nature of the matrix. Slurry erosion test has shown higher erosion resistance in castings with lesser porosity, optimum vol% of TiC, and in the matrix of transformed ledeburite. Presence of graphite in the matrix lowers slurry erosion resistance of the cast composite.
