<text>This research intends to discover what the current strategies in digital marketing that are being carried out by brands in the luxury fashion sector are. It is intended to identify the most relevant aspects in the interaction of brands with their audiences in a digital and mobile environment, for which qualitative techniques have been used, through content analysis and in-depth interviews. We have found that, among others, the principle of "storytelling" is one of the key strategies in digital marketing, this principle is found in video marketing strategies, social media, events and exhibitions open to the public, which seek to interact with public and show its history.</text>

<text>In the educational process, literacy is considered as a fundamental part, which focuses on the ability to read and write. Reading and writing are processes that, although they have features in common, they may not be developed in parallel, but both are encompassed in teaching methods that aim to develop these two skills at the same time. Interactive mobile applications can be part of a strategy to support the teaching of reading and writing skills. This paper presents a review of five interactive mobile applications to support the teaching of Spanish reading and writing skills. Mobile applications were analyzed based on their general features and the activities they have. The following general features were taken into consideration: the existence of voice assistants, supporting characters, language selection, progression of activities, creation of avatars, variable difficulty, progress panel, images, among others. The activities considered for the revision were those that allow completing syllables, completing words from letters, completing words from syllables, completing sentences, relating images to words, among others.</text>

<text>Students academic performance could be affected by excessive use of the smartphone. This study focuses on analyzing the level of cell phone addiction in engineering university students. It also seeks to determine if there is a difference by gender in this behavior. 306 engineering students from a Technological Institute in Veracruz, Mexico participated in the study. The instrument used to obtain data was SAS-SV (Smartphone addiction scale-short version) designed by [1]. In order to identify the set of indicators with the highest factor loadings, an exploratory factor analysis was carried out with extraction of components and orthogonal rotation with the Varimax method. To identify if there is a difference by gender, the t test is used to contrast the hypothesis about two independent population means. The findings demonstrated the extraction of two components, which differs from the one-dimensional model proposed by [1], and no difference was found between the groups of male and female students.</text>

The latest developments that have improved the hardware aspects of wireless sensors and mobile networks, gave the opportunity for other enhancements if such technologies are integrated between them. Regarding this enhanced heterogeneous environment, the approach of placing services needs to reconsider the security aspects. We have developed a baseline method of a solution which fulfills the cybersecurity requirements converging with the proposed multi-tier integrated model, that enhances the K-means algorithm with added processing steps supplying the criteria of the CIA triad.</text>

<text>This work presents a methodology for the evaluation of the vessels operability in the basin of the Black Sea. The approach proposed is based on the results provided by a wave prediction system that was implemented and validated in the Black Sea. This offers a meaningful framework in the assessment of the seakeeping performance for ships operating in different conditions. The aim of the work is to improve the seakeeping performances for various types of ships that sail in the Romanian coastal zones. Two containerships are considered, of 1300TEU and 800TEU respectively, which have however the same displacement. For predicting the ship motions induced by the various wave conditions encountered in the operational area, it is necessary to know the transfer functions for different ship speeds and heading angles. These are computed with a numerical code based on the strip theory. The predicted motions are then compared with the limit values of the relevant seakeeping criteria, considered as the criteria for checking the operability of the ship. By defining the acceptable operating boundaries, the ship behavior in waves can be quantified. The vessel meets the criteria for those combinations wave height-wave period that are below the limit curves. The results are presented as operational maps for the Black Sea basin, allowing the identification of the areas that should be avoided due to unfavorable weather conditions. The methodology proposed herewith can be extended and applied to various marine environments and types of ships.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jname.v11i1.17289</text>
