<text>Coastal wetlands provide vital ecosystem services, including nutrient cycling, disaster risk reduction, and habitat for biodiversity, including shorebirds, seabirds, turtles and fish. How we design and implement policy approaches for the conservation of coastal wetlands and these ecosystem services matters enormously. This article joins a growing trend of literature that seeks to not only identify the importance of coastal wetlands, but also to consider how best to devise policy measures for their protection and restoration. The article focuses on Queensland’s coastal wetlands and suggests that the state has a real opportunity to become a national leader in wetland restoration. For that to occur, new legislative measures may be required to address issues such as tenure, land access, planning and risk management.</text>

<text>The study examines the behaviour of two characteristic traits on knowledge retention, mediated using modern smartphone usage in the corporate environment of cross-functional teams. For the investigation, a self-made model was applied that associates the personality, focusing on the traits of neuroticism and openness towards new concepts and statistically evaluates the effect of increased technological usage. A dataset of 101 individuals working in cross-functional teams was used to test the model. A total of four main hypotheses were developed and statistically tested. Exalted presence of openness towards new experiences was evaluated as a critical factor leading to decreasing knowledge retention. Furthermore, although it was deducted, that neuroticism could not be verified as a knowledge limiting factor in the applied model, smartphone usage could drastically reduce its potentially dangerous factors by using efficient and short communication channels, reaffirmation and commendation by higher-ups and colleagues alike to bolster the missing self-esteem and self-consciousness of neurotic individuals. In contrast, openness was not connected significantly to deliberate knowledge hiding, as individuals incorporating this trait presumably tend to use technological tools of all kinds inherently due to their eagerness to experiment.</text>

<text>Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are mainly used in the intelligent transportation field for smart applications. VANETS received maximum concentration among the researchers in academic research. Providing traffic safety at the time of high mobility in the network is the major issue. Also, it consists of few general issues namely self-organization, link failure and speedy variation in topology. In order to address this issue, we developed a novel approach namely, Self-Adaptive Efficient Dynamic Multi-Hop Clustering (SA-EDMC) approach which is designed to reduce the delay and energy consumption in the VANETs that leads to increase the efficiency and overall Quality of Service (QoS) of the network. This approach is composed into four parts (1) network construction, (2) prime cluster head selection, (3) dynamic prime CH selection and (4) gateway creation. Network simulator is utilized to demonstrate the behavior of our SA-EDMC approach. The simulation evaluation exhibits that our proposed work achieved high packet delivery ratio, low delay and high throughput when compared with earlier research outputs like MCA-V2I and QMM-VANET. The comparative analysis expressed that performance of the proposed SA-EDMC is ~5% increase in packet delivery ratio, produced 300 to 500 kbps extra throughput compared with the earlier methods and delay is comparatively low.</text>

<text>The fast progress of mobile devices and the popularity of mobile applications in the market requires complex software to be run on mobile devices without issues. Mobile devices are known as handhelds and they have different characteristics such as size, resolution, battery life and processing power. These are limitations to consider when developing an M-learning application, which can make it difficult to design and develop mobile applications for different mobile devices. Design Patterns, a set of tried and tested solutions for common problems were originally designed for desktop computers, so application of these patterns in M-learning applications might not meet its requirements such as adaptation of the content to the context of the device mobile used by learners. However, mobile design patterns that have been adapted or designed for such an environment can be used to overcome the challenges and limitations of M-learning application development. In this paper we try to propose an approach to engineering design patterns allowing the development of M-learning applications to provide an adapted content taking into account the context of device mobile used by learners. We named these patterns: “Mobile design patterns”.</text>

<text>This paper reports a map of identified topics from mobile learning research. Mobile learning is an emerging paradigm in an educational context as its adoption in an educational institution is growing rapidly. The students are already using and familiar with it.  The publications from the last ten years were examined. Two approaches were employed to identify themes, i.e. word cloud and Latent Dirichlet Allocation. The result shows that mobile learning research is shifting from the development into optimization paradigm. This research is beneficial for mobile learning literature to inform the researcher and practitioner in the mobile learning area in terms of research topic trend and therefore consider it as a basis for designing mobile learning system in the future.</text>

<text>When it comes to improving people's health, various forms of smart city applications are put to use in the area of smart healthcare. Health care providers are increasingly using the internet of medical things (IoMT) as an environment of linked healthcare systems, computational capabilities, and health monitors to improve the quality of service (QoS). Smart healthcare devices transmit data to IoMT and it requires an efficient solution. IoMT's and 5G networks' importance necessitates the development and testing of a novel multi-hop reinforced clustering-based routing protocol (MRCRP) to improve health data transmission's QoS. Cluster head selection is carried out using an energy-efficient approach to enhance resource usage. Min-max normalization is used to transform original data into meaningful data for more analysis. Using principal component analysis (PCA), relevant features can be extracted. The proposed routing technique is then employed to effectively transmit the data. The suggested approach's performance measures, such as delay, throughput, energy consumption, and packet drop ratio are studied, as is a comparative analysis with standard routing protocols..</text>

<text>Water is a source of much-needed living things such as daily needs and transportation routes, and also as a source of energy. Water is also essential as a water quality factor. Good water for treating cold-water ornamental fish with temperatures below 20o Celcius has a maximum water turbidity value of 10 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Unit); if the turbidity level is above 10 NTU, the water will be declared cloudy and affect fish health. The object of this research is ornamental aquarium fish with the type of goldfish. The research method used is qualitative. The research flow begins with observing the problem, then designing and simulating the Arduino Uno as a place to process the measuring data. The prototype of this tool aims to show changes in the level of turbidity of water from the value of water turbidity. This prototype uses the fuzzy method to assist the testing process. This study's results for five days showed that 1 out of 5 tests indicated that the aquarium water was cloudy, namely on the fifth day. The results of this study are expected to be implemented in a prototype for measuring water turbidity using the fuzzy method using a microcontroller. The design of this water turbidity measuring instrument is expected to estimate the turbidity of water or liquid correctly, precisely, accurately, with a small error rate, and notify warnings for replacing ornamental fish aquarium water.</text>

<text>This research aims to solve the problem of selecting the best practical work students at the Politeknik Bisnis Indonesia. The current selection of the best practical work students at PBI does not yet use a decision support system approach. This problem is solved by building a Decision Support System using Multi-Objective Optimization based on Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method. The criteria used in this DSS consist of discipline, teamwork, skills, quality of work, and attendance. As for the results of data processing from this study, the three best alternative data were obtained, namely alternative Vivi (A6) as the 1st best Practical Work Students with a score of Yi = 36.5954, Hafiz (A1) as the 2nd best Practical Work Students with a score of Yi = 34.5339, Cahaya (A3) as the 3rd best PKL student with a score of Yi = 33.4767. Through this decision support system that has been built, the selection of the best practical work students can be made quickly and effectively.</text>
