<text>The progress in communication and information technology has contributed to the creation of the Internet of Thing (IoT). Internet of Things today plays a crucial role in tracking, documenting, storing, presentation and communication in variety of fields like healthcare, smart cities, engineering, and others. Using an IoT-based monitoring system, the critical parameters of health are tracked and data transmitted via network. Data will be accessed for the benefit of the patient's current condition. This research paper focused on remote monitoring of body temperature (DS18B20), heart rate and SPO2(MAX30100), additionally the position of patient can be obtained on demand using SIM7600E GSM and GNSS HAT (Hardware attached on top) Module. Raspberry Pi 4B used as microcontroller to gather data from health parameter sensors. The data from sensors transmitted into cloud storage through a network. The proposed system uses last version of IoT microcontroller and devices were used which significantly affected the precision and speed of the whole system. A GUI cross platform mobile application was developed for presenting real-time data to both doctors and patients. The system is beneficial for synchronous monitoring of patient’s health status hence allowing urgent medical decision by doctors at right time.</text>

It is seen that almost 1000 nos. of ships are calling in to Mongla port every year which is gradually increasing day by day. However, there is no waste management system in the port now. IMO has recognized that provisions of proper wastes collection vessel as well as oil spill management vessel and reception facilities are crucial for effective MARPOL implementation in the maritime port. In view of the same, the feasibility of establishment of a standard and modern waste management system for Mongla port has been studied. First of all, amount of different types of wastes sourced from the shipping operation at the port of Mongla has been estimated following standard procedure and to facilitate the necessary services to incoming ships, a proposal has been made to procure a waste collection vessel, oil spill collection vessels and port reception and treatment facilities by Mongla Port Authority along with other necessary vessels and equipment. The procurement, operation and maintenance costs as well as revenue to be collected from the incoming ships for wastes quantities, alternative uses of the vessels and facilities and earnings from selling the product of the treatment have been examined. It is found from the study that the investment is technically, financially and economically viable.</text>

<text>Sustainable power generation, energy security, and global warming are the big challenges to the world today. These issues may be addressed through the increased usage of renewable energy resources and concentrated solar energy can play a vital role in this regard. The performance of a parabolic-trough collector’s receiver is here investigated analytically and experimentally using water based and therminol-VP1based CuO, ZnO, Al2O3, TiO2, Cu, Al, and SiC nanofluids. The receiver size has been optimized by a simulation program written in MATLAB. Thus, numerical results have been validated by experimental outcomes under same conditions using the same nanofluids. Increased volumetric concentrations of nanoparticle is found to enhance heat transfer, with heat transfer coefficient the maximum in W-Cu and VP1-SiC, the minimum in W-TiO2 and VP1-ZnO at 0.8 kg/s flow rate. Changing the mass flow rate also affects heat transfer coefficient. It has been observed that heat transfer coefficient reaches its maximum of 23.30% with SiC-water and 23.51% with VP1-SiC when mass-flow rate is increased in laminar flow. Heat transfer enhancement drops during transitions of flow from laminar to turbulent. The maximum heat transfer enhancements of 9.49% and 10.14% were achieved with Cu-water and VP1-SiC nanofluids during turbulent flow. The heat transfer enhancements of nanofluids seem to remain constant when compared with base fluids during either laminar flow or turbulent flow.</text>

<text>In this paper, we present a new scheme to intelligently control the cycles and phases of traffic lights by exploiting the road traffic data collected by a wireless sensor network installed on the road. The traffic light controller determines the next phase of traffic lights by applying the Ant Colony Optimazation metaheuristics to the information collected by WSN. The objective of this system is to find an optimal solution that gives the best possible results in terms of reducing the waiting time of vehicles and maximizing the flow crossing the intersection during the green light. The results of simulations by the SUMO traffic simulator confirm the preference of the developed algorithm over the predefined time controller and other dynamic controllers.</text>

<text>Advances of technology and innovation suggest new form and paths in language teaching. Social media use can be a great influence for English as a Second Language (ESL) students especially in writing competency. Despite of many positive reports that presented affordances in social media use, however, there are insufficient studies that investigate ESL trainee teachers’ perception on this matter. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate ESL pre-service teachers’ views upon leveraging the use of social media in teaching of writing focusing on the opportunities and challenges. This study employed qualitative methods where thirty-four ESL pre-service teachers from a public university were involved. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that ESL pre-service teachers perceived the use of social media in teaching writing can be of beneficial and similarly challenging. Opportunities stated by the participants include enhancement in collaborative learning, supporting students’ self-directed learning and simplify the teaching and learning processes. On the other hand, the challenges mentioned by the participants are that social media can be a source of distraction, deterioration in language and plagiarism. Thus, it is advisable that teachers play their roles responsibly in managing students’ activities online and also be equipped with technology skills to enhance the establishments of social media in ESL teaching of writing.</text>

<text>Due to the rise of the digital era, various industries demand employees with a proficient communicative English skills, but many are still not up to par with the demands. One solution for this is to provide communicative English trainings for employees, especially support staffs, yet face-to-face trainings have many limitations, which can be overcome through mobile learning. Due to the fact that mobile learning can be accessed anytime and anywhere by anyone, the Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC) is one of the platforms that can be used to curb the issue. This paper aimed to identify the perceptions of support staffs towards using ‘ìSPEAK: English for the Workplace’ in MOOC. A total of 30 respondents were selected through purposive sampling and a survey through a 4-point Likert scale questionnaire was given out. The main findings showed that overall, the support staffs have a positive attitude towards using ìSPEAK. Nevertheless, half of them were unsure of the reliability of the sources available in the course. However, the findings of this study implied that ìSPEAK could be one of the training alternatives for support staffs to improve and increase their communicative ability. Future research can look into designing and developing various modules of communicative English in various mobile learning platforms, which could cater to different levels of proficiency of learners.</text>

<text>With the emergence of mobile technologies in education, the special needs students are gaining the infinite benefits that could enhance their learning sessions. Numerous studies are conducted on the usage of mobile technologies    among the special needs students including their acceptance towards the technologies, its advantages as well as the obstacles on the utilisation of mobile technologies. However, fewer studies are done on the usage of mobile technologies among the hearing-impaired (HI) students. There is a need for more studies on that as the number of hearing-impaired people are increasing continuously around the globe. Hence, the aims of the study are to explore the hearing-impaired students’ perspectives on the usa of mobile technologies in learning ESL. In-depth interviews are conducted among the selected ten hearing-impaired students from four different secondary schools in Malaysia and the notable finding demonstrates the majority of them believed that mobile technologies assist them in learning. This study provides the insights for the education stakeholders, especially the policy makers and inventors to create the solutions and improvise the features of mobile technologies that are more user-friendly towards the hearing-impaired students.</text>

<text>Teaching and learning to spell forms the basis for mastering English Language. The emerging mobile learning trends in the current 21st century education is useful in teaching and learning spelling. However, there were limited reviews about them. As such, a systematic review was conducted to provide an up-to-date synthesis on the mobile learning trends in supporting the mastery of spelling from year 2012 to year 2022. This review adhered to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses which is also known as the PRISMA guideline. Three databases were involved: Web of Science, Scopus and Educational Resources Information Centre. After a rigorous screening process, a total of 19 articles fitted its objectives. Firstly, significant findings from the studies portrayed the use of four platforms in mobile learning trends in supporting the mastery of spelling namely mobile apps, spell-checker apps, word prediction apps and text messaging apps. Secondly, the primary level of education was more dominant in the related studies than the secondary and tertiary levels. Thirdly, it emphasised more on the students with a lower prevalence on teachers and both teachers and students as the respondents in the associated studies. This paper contributes to systematically reviewing 19 eligible related studies through a step-by-step protocol of identification, screening, eligibility and included as in the PRISMA guideline to establish quality review. It benefits both the English Language teachers and students in utilising various mobile learning platforms to support the mastery of spelling at all levels of education. It aspires to foreground the paucity in this topic in which more substantial studies are required to address the research gaps. The ultimate goal is to impose effective and practical strategies to advance mobile learning trends in supporting the mastery of spelling.</text>
