However, this circumstance may not only be a challenge but also an opportunity to foster learning through exploration of various technologies that can be developed, more specifically in a course characterized with a strong skills-based orientation such as physical education (PE). Therefore, the aim set in this study was to develop a mobile application for Movement Competency Training (MCT) grounded on the User-Centered Design Model. This descriptive mixed-method research started with a preliminary needs assessment analysis which was participated by 121 Filipino students enrolled in the MCT course and 10 PE teachers. Results revealed the skills that require a higher degree of proficiency such as non-locomotor skills, locomotor, and mobility skills. Also, the majority of the respondents are mobile phone users which justified the adoption of mobile instruction and the development of an application for MCT. Moreover, indicated in this research was the preference of the intended users in terms of design and interface that led to the development of the mobile application and had specified the requirements based on the users' needs. The initial assessment of the developed application indicated a highly acceptable level of functional suitability, usability, and portability by the student-respondents. A field testing of the application may be recommended to determine its effectiveness in mastering the skills in MCT independently. SRL is learning that refers to activities to control and regulate the learning process independently of students to find creative ideas. This quantitative research uses a quasi-experiment approach. Participants in this study were 53 students at a secondary school in Malang, Indonesia. Participants were divided into two groups, namely 26 students in the experiment group and 27 students in the control group—grouping based on the purposive random sampling technique. The design of this study used a Nonequivalent Pre-Test and Post-test Control-Group design because the implementation of SRL was only for the experiment group, but both groups carried out pre-test and post-test. The data analysis technique used paired T-test analysis to compare and identify students' creativity from the experiment and control groups. Data analysis using the SPSS 23 application. The results showed that students' creativity in the experiment group was higher than in the control group. In the experiment group, students provided many creative solutions for various shapes of cube nets. This research will provide educators with suggestions to consider implementing SRL strategies to increase students' creativity in “Zoom” e-learning applications. However, there is still a lack of evidence regarding the benefits in the context of mathematics teacher education programme. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a flipped classroom application in a mathematics teacher education programme at a private university in Indonesia. A total of thirty-one pre-service teachers participated in the study. Multiple data collection methods were employed including observation, written journals and tests. The data were then analysed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The findings showed that flipped classroom promotes independent learning, with the type of classroom encouraging students to work together with other peers and improved learning awareness. However, some challenges were highlighted in flipped classroom application such as technical issues, editing recording skills, and it was time consuming. Specifically, it addresses three research questions, 1) how frequent do preservice teachers do multitasks with smartphone, 2) what are the types of preservice teachers’ multitasking behaviour, and 3) to what extent does multitasking behaviour affect preservice teachers’ learning. To this end, we did a classroom observation where smartphone was used to facilitate learning. During the observation, we wrote notes concerning preservice teachers’ multitasking behaviour with their smartphone. In addition, a total of 35 preservice teachers was surveyed. Findings of this study show that 97.14% of preservice teachers do multitasking in class; although the frequency and types of multitasking with smartphone vary. The findings also highlight fifteen types of multitasking behaviour with two most common activities: texting and searching. The analysis of preservice teachers’ responses on the survey as well as the observation data suggest that multitasking behaviour contributes both positively and negatively to preservice teachers’ learning.
