<text>This article reflects on the contrast between theoretical Marxism, especially its views on the state, and the actual developments in Russia and China, in which Marxist inspired revolutions created totalitarian states similar to Oriental despotism, and this became especially clear in China, where totalitarian arrangements fit well with native traditions. While Communist rule reinforced the country’s totalitarian traditions, it hardly hampered the country’s economy. Actually, the opposite happened: totalitarian China engaged in speedy progress and would most likely emerge as a global leader in the foreseeable future.</text>

This paper shows how a chatbot for mathematical tasks, named mathbot, was developed. The chatbot uses mathematical exercises from the “Schulapps” of the LearningLab of Graz, University of Technology and combines them with textual questions to provide a useful utility for practicing. It is shown that such a chatbot could be useful for pupils and teachers by evaluating a test run in an elementary school.</text>

<text>In the present study, we analyze the heat, momentum and mass (species) transfer in external boundary layer flow of Casson nanofluid past a truncated cone surface with Biot Number effect is studied theoretically. The effects of Brownian motion and thermophoresis are incorporated in the model in the presence of both heat and nanoparticle mass transfer Biot Number effect. The governing partial differential equations (PDEs) are transformed into highly nonlinear, coupled, multi-degree non-similar partial differential equations consisting of the momentum, energy and concentration equations via. Appropriate non-similarity transformations. These transformed conservation equations are solved subject to appropriate boundary conditions with a second order accurate finite difference method of the implicit type. The influences of the emerging parameters i.e. Casson fluid parameter (?), Brownian motion parameter (Nb) and thermophoresis parameter (Nt), Lewis number (Le), Buoyancy ratio parameter (N ), Prandtl number (Pr) and Biot number (Bi) on velocity, temperature and nano-particle concentration distributions is illustrated graphically and interpreted at length. Validation of solutions with a Nakamura tri-diagonal method has been included. The study is relevant to enrobing processes for electric-conductive nano-materials of potential use in aerospace and other industries.</text>

<text>Ship vibrations, airborne and underwater noise levels have always been a challenging topic from a performance point of view in ship design, building and operation. The measurement shall help in monitoring the self-noise and the technical state of their machinery mechanism. The vibration levels on the main engine and auxiliary Genset foundation, airborne noise levels of the engine room and underwater self-noise levels of a small mechanized fishing trawler was measured at the jetty in idling condition. The vibration levels on the foundation measured the average value of 0.207 mm/s for the main engine and 1.36 mm/s for auxiliary Genset. The airborne noise levels measured 99 dB (A) in the engine room. The peak underwater sound pressure levels measured 162 dB re 1µPa. The response spectra indicate the peak vibration and noise levels in the lower frequency region <1.2 kHz. The machinery excitation forces transferred to the hull surface as pressure fluctuations which generated the airborne and underwater noise levels. Though the measurement limited to jetty conditions, detailed analysis can be useful for detection, classification, and tracking of small vessels.</text>

<text>The corrosion resistance (weight loss) and mechanical properties (i.e. yield strength, ultimate strength and elongation) for three carbon steels, normal strength and high strength steels using tension test are investigated. The specimens are kept in chloride solution (20% NaCl) up to 240 hours. At every 48 hours, thickness and weight loss is measured and tension test is carried out. It was found that the susceptibility of the steels to corrosion based on their weight loss were identical prior to 144 hours, after that is accelerated for high strength steel. In addition, it was found that manganese (Mn) has reduced corrosion rate at early stage of corrosion. The change in mechanical properties by corrosion for all steels are the same, and ultimate strength is reduced, which for limit state design of aged structure should be taken into account.DOI: 10.3329/jname.v7i2.5309</text>

<text>In this paper, we explore the potential of contextual communications with mobile technologies. Context-aware applications allow information or services delivery relevant to users at a given time. One of the two objectives of our work is to propose a generic usersâ?? context model for mediated communications. This model is based on six dimensions: Userâ??s profile, Activity, Device, Environment, Location and Time. In addition, to illustrate the utility and to validate the proposed approach, we design a prototype named MeCoCo (Mediated Contextual Communications) with a particular interface favoring the search of interesting contacts and messages. The MeCoCo prototype can highlight a dimension of contextual information compared to the others.</text>

<text>ABSTRACT- This study uses Depth Interview as a research instrument to study users' perceptions and acceptance of the potential use of mobile phones in a prospective design for learning Medical English, a mandatory course in medicine.
Almost all the respondents (93%) across graduates and students were unanimous about the need to learn English through M-Learning. When respondents were asked to suggest ideas on how medical English can be taught through mobiles (unaided question), 49% suggested SMS and 27% suggested SMS & Live Calls.
The survey indicates that there is a unanimous demand to learn English amongst students and graduates of medicine in a new e-education setting called M-learning. Constraints imposed by oneâ??s occupation and available resources expose the limitations of traditional learning and opens up a huge opportunity for M-English learning. Irrespective of differences, potential learners accepted the credibility of M-learning and displayed willingness to be an active user of an M-learning module. Diversity of responses on potential frequency of usage for SMSs, preferences regarding listening to IVR, speaking to Live Callers, traditional classroom learning, M-learning and testing options will establish at a primary level that the means of â??engagementâ??, â??presenceâ?? and â??flexibilityâ?? can be significantly different â??betweenâ?? and â??withinâ?? different educational groups.</text>
