<text>This work proposes a new algorithm to enhance the performance of the speaker verification over the communication systems based Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) techniques. The algorithm mainly tackles and overcomes the effect of the high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio problem that is found in OFDM systems, MIMO-OFDM combination has been developed to meet the rapidly increment in the users demand such as the ubiquitous transmission, imposing new multimedia applications and wireless services. In this algorithm, wavelets techniques have been used to denoise the affected OFDM symbol by high PAPR values. After that and based on adaptive threshold method the local maxima and minima will be determined and replaced by the average of them and their surrounding neighbors; Denoise OFDM and Replace PAPR (DORP).
A system performance investigation process will be accomplished based on both of numerical method and MATLAB simulation. Moreover, a comparison has been made to check the validity of our proposition either with our previously published work or with the literature. Although, the achieved results show that the proposed work has lower PAPR values; an additional complexity has been added to transceiverâ??s structure. Moreover, and as a result to the comparison with the conventional systems, the bit error rate (BER) performance has been improved for the same bandwidth occupancy.
As a validity process a comparison has been made with the current values found in the literature and we have achieved around 30% PAPR extra reduction. That is in addition to around 90% verification rate and noise immunity.</text>

<text>The immense popularity of Mirabai, the sixteenth-century bhakti poet-saint, transcends time and space. Beliefs have it that she renounced her kshatriya and royal identity for spiritual pursuits in the public domain. She was challenged, critiqued, ostracised, and castigated within her community and was labelled as a woman of questionable character. Mirabai wandered to various places, singing and dancing to bhajans negotiating the public and the private while becoming both virtuous and promiscuous in multiple narratives. Mirabai has been accommodated within the marginalised and subaltern communities and gradually, a community of destitute women has formed around her. With the revival of Mirabai during the Indian ‘nationalist’ period by popular spokespersons such as Swami Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi as an ‘ideal’ and ‘chaste’ historical character in their public speeches and private letters, the promiscuous image of Mirabai, perpetuated through centuries, witnessed transgressions and she was eventually elevated to the status of a saint. This paper with literary, biographical and hagiographical representations explores the mechanism of the paradoxical plane that allowed the promiscuous image of Mirabai to achieve sainthood and become a cult name in the bhakti tradition.</text>

<text>This paper explores the application of mission command in binational and multinational units within the NATO context. It explores differences in understanding and application of mission command, amongst NATO members, and identifies the negative impact that these can have on the behaviour of tactical leaders, and on mission accomplishment, within a multinational context. The paper demonstrates that the understanding and therefore the application of mission command differs between the NATO members; that this influences the leadership style of superiors and their willingness to transfer trust and responsibility, and to assume risk; and, that differences in language, understanding and meaning of terms, and different contents of intents result in a negative influence, all of which are exacerbated by political influence. On the other hand, modern technology in binational or multinational units supports and promotes the application of mission command. The paper concludes with recommendations to mitigate these problems and to create the conditions where mission command can be employed successfully.

The research led to the conclusion that the apolitical character of sport is only a myth. The mass popularity of sport led many states to try to use it for political purposes, forcing the IOC to assume a political position and transferring political disputes to their forum.</text>

<text>The 14th Winter Olympics, held from February 8 to 19, 1984, still evoke nostalgic memories of the inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially its capital. Although it was Yugoslavia’s declining moment, the communist authorities put much effort into promoting the atmosphere of “brotherhood and unity.” However, soon after, the war broke out, and the post-war shape of the Bosnian state lead to the permanent political, social and economic crisis. As a result, Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks cannot agree about shared history and common heroes. One of the few crossing points is the myth of the 14th Winter Olympic Games: possibly these days sport idols (Jure Franko, Katarina Witt, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean) can fill the gaps in almost empty Bosnian symbolic apparatus.</text>

<text>XIV Zimowe Igrzyska Olimpijskie, które odbyły się od 8 do 19 lutego 1984 r., wciąż budzą nostalgiczne wspomnienia mieszkańców Bośni i Hercegowiny, a zwłaszcza mieszkańców stolicy. Choć był to schyłkowy moment trwania Jugosławii, władze komunistyczne włożyły wiele wysiłku w promowanie atmosfery „braterstwa i jedności”. Wkrótce jednak wybuchła wojna, a powojenny kształt, jaki przybrało państwo bośniackie, spowodował permanentny kryzys polityczny, społeczny i gospodarczy. W rezultacie Serbowie, Chorwaci i Bośniacy nie mogą się zgodzić co do wspólnej historii i wspólnych bohaterów. Jednym z nielicznych miejsc wspólnych jest mit XIV Zimowych Igrzysk Olimpijskich, w związku z czym ówcześni idole sportu (Jure Franko, Katarina Witt, Jayne Torvill i Christopher Dean) mogliby wypełnić luki w prawie pustym bośniackim aparacie symbolicznym.</text>

<text>A finite element method based computational study of steady laminar mixed convection flow inside a vented square cavity with a heat conducting horizontal solid circular cylinder placed at the center of the cavity is carried out in this paper. The developed mathematical model is governed by the coupled equations of continuity, momentum and energy. The present work simulates practical systems such as cooling of electronic devices, ventilation of building etc. The effects of cylinder size and Richardson number on fluid flow and heat transfer performance are investigated. Richardson number is varied from 0.0 to 5.0 and the cylinder diameter is varied from 0.0 to 0.6. The results for the case of without cylinder are compared to those with cylinder to observe the effects cylinder on the flow and heat transfer inside the cavity. The phenomenon inside the cavity for the case of with and without cylinder is analyzed through streamline and isotherm patterns. It is found that the streamlines, isotherms, average Nusselt number at the heated surface, average temperature of the fluid in the cavity and dimensionless temperature at the cylinder center strongly depend on the Richardson number as well as the diameter of the cylinder. Keywords: Mixed convection, finite element method, Richardson number, cylinder diameter, vented cavity and diffusion.DOI: 10.3329/jname.v5i2.2504Journal of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering 5(2)(2008) 37-46</text>

<text>A numerical analysis has been conducted to show the effects of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) and Joule heating on heat transfer phenomenon in a lid driven triangular cavity. The heat transfer fluid (HTF) has been considered as water based hybrid nanofluid composed of equal quantities of Cu and TiO2 nanoparticles. The bottom wall of the cavity is undulated in sinusoidal pattern and cooled isothermally. The left vertical wall of the cavity is heated while the inclined side is insulated. The two dimensional governing partial differential equations of heat transfer and fluid flow with appropriate boundary conditions have been solved by using Galerkin's finite element method built in COMSOL Multyphysics. The effects of Hartmann number, Joule heating, number of undulation and Richardson number on the flow structure and heat transfer characteristics have been studied in details. The values of Prandtl number and solid volume fraction of hybrid nanoparticles have been considered as fixed. Also, the code validation has been shown. The numerical results have been presented in terms of streamlines, isotherms and average Nusselt number of the hybrid nanofluid for different values of governing parameters. The comparison of heat transfer rate by using hybrid nanofluid, Cu-water nanofluid, TiO2 -water nanofluid and clear water has been also shown. Increasing wave number from 0 to 3 enhances the heat transfer rate by 16.89%. The enhanced rate of mean Nusselt number for hybrid nanofluid is found as 4.11% compared to base fluid.</text>

<text>A numerical study has been performed to explore the mixed magnetoconvective flow and heat transfer characteristics of fluid contained in a lid-driven cavity having a sinusoidal wavy vertical surface. A heat conducting square body is located at the centre of cavity. The cavity horizontal walls are perfectly insulated while the corrugated right vertical surface is maintained at a uniform temperature higher than the left lid. The flow is assumed to be two-dimensional and Joule heating effect is considered. Calculations are carried out through solving governing equations for different parameters by using Galarkin’s weighted residual finite element method. The flow pattern and the heat transfer characteristics inside the cavity are presented in the form of streamlines, isotherms, average temperature of the fluid and temperature of solid body centre for various values of Prandtl number Pr, Richardson number Ri and magnetic parameter Ha. The heat transfer rate is detected maximum for the highest Pr and absence of magnetic field.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jname.v8i1.6793</text>

<text>The learning process is subject to continuous changes due to the changing needs of users. These changes are most often accompanied by new technologies which are constantly appearing in our modern computerized society. The Internet has allowed the optimization of the learning process through supported learning platforms, in addition to this, the dissemination of mobile devices such as P.D.A.´s allows for a new stage in this process, mLearning. This is based on the ability of the user to access their course information at any time and place without the restriction of needing to have a computer in their possession, this along with other characteristics will determine the direction of ubiquitous learning.</text>
