<text>“International Air Law” has been justifiably arrested in a straight-jacketed approach centred on the classical doctrines of state sovereignty and sources, which is in addition to a limiting classicism in IAL’s discourses, methods, and meanings. This Article problematizes the said classicism on account of it distancing, and often dissociating, IAL from the global realities in civil aviation. It proposes an alternative approach to read IAL including rechristening it as “International Aviation Law,”, a new epistemological and disciplinary category, which has a modernist approach, and which stays close to the reality of functions in civil aviation. In making a case for IAvL, the Article primarily draws on many renewalist and radical thinking in international law and elsewhere mindful of the prevailing global and economic realities. Motivated by the same, the Article lets orthodoxies to fall for making ground for an epistemological revolution in the regulation of civil aviation. The Article organizes its critique and construction under four major heads: Sovereignty, Sources, Subjects, and Meanings.

<text>The aim of the present study is to develop closed-form formulations for predicting the ultimate compressive and tensional strength of stiffened steel panels with crack damages. First, a numerical database is generated. This database includes the ultimate strength levels of stiffened steel panels with cracks subjected to axial compressive or tensile loads. It was carried out with a series of nonlinear FEM analyses by varying the size of crack damage. In the following sections, regression analysis is used for deriving the empirical formulations. The results of the present paper can be used for the reliability and risk assessment of structures, including stiffened steel panels with cracks. </text>

<text>Climate change will impact most, if not all, aspects of law and regulation. Law is a key mechanism of social governance, and it has a key role to play in regulating and addressing the causes and consequences of climate change. In the midst of the unfolding climate crisis law schools have a clear and pressing obligation to contribute to efforts to address climate change and its consequences by ensuring climate change law occupies an appropriate place in the law curriculum. In this article we consider the obligation of universities, and law schools in particular, to respond appropriately to the climate crisis in their program offerings. We begin by reflecting on the obligation of law schools and universities to contribute to the public good, an obligation often downplayed given the contemporary emphasis upon the ‘job-readiness’ of graduates and other neoliberal priorities. We then focus on the obligation of universities and law schools to respond appropriately to climate change. We examine the landscape of climate change law and identify the essential elements of climate change law for inclusion in the law curriculum. And we conclude by identifying examples of ways in which law schools are already incorporating climate change law into their law programs.</text>

<text>Nowadays, STEM education plays an essential role in the economic growth and competitiveness of nations. This systematic review was aimed to reveal research trends in STEM education over the last 10 years. A total of 336 studies published in the Journal of Science Education and Technology, Research in Science Education, Journal of Science Teacher Education, International Journal of Science Education, Journal of Research in Science Teaching, and Science Education were selected for analysis. The time span was limited to the period between 2011 to late 2020. All sample papers were then examined to capture the latest research trends and status regarding STEM education that included the number of papers by year, research types, countries’ rank, and the number of authors. To collect data, the formula proposed by Howard et al. [1] was employed to determine the most productive countries in terms of STEM education scholarships. Findings revealed that STEM education has garnered greater attention and it grew rapidly within this period. The most frequent research type used in STEM education were quantitative studies. In addition, the US, Australia, and the Netherlands were the most productive countries in STEM education research. During these ten years, most papers published in selected journals were written by three authors. This indicates that STEM education is an attractive topic to explore collaboratively by researchers and educators around the world.</text>

Augmented Reality technology allows students to experience learning with objects that can be seen in person. The purpose of the study was to see how students learned when they used the metaverse app, which is mobile augmented reality software for science courses. The population group consists of 92 students from several schools in cluster I, Depok Subdistrict. Then the sample was taken using the slovin formula until it obtained 75 samples of grade 5 students. This study employs experimental research techniques and a single group pre- and post-test. A t-test is used to analysed the collected data. According to the findings, using that metaverse applications has a favourable impact on students' learning outcomes. Students can use the Metaverse app to see better learning outcomes. Students are also more interested in learning and can easily understand and discover what is being learned. In addition, students find it more fun to learn using the Metaverse app, which is a mobile augmented reality.</text>

<text>The production and consumption of oil and other petroleum products have been increasing rapidly over the years, which led to the scarcity of easily retrieved oil due to urbanization. As a result, oil producers are motivated to go to deeper ocean to extract oil and other resources.Offshore platforms in deep water like TLPs are used for exploration of oil and gas from under Seabed and processing. But it is challenging to design precisely such type of giant structure in deep sea as it experiences huge forces, motion and other environmental loads which are non-linear, need sophisticated solution techniques and expensive to apply. In the present study wave exciting forces and motions of free floating TLP are carried out in frequency domain analysis using three dimensional source distribution techniques within the scope of linear wave theory where six degrees of freedom have been considered. The same geometrical data are used as an input to HydroStar, which is based on linear wave theory. Results obtained from both the programs are compared which shows a good agreement and also validated with the published results. Comparison of heave motion with and without tether are illustrated where it can be easily understood the effect of tendon. Forces and motions prediction of TLP is emphasized which has been done precisely in the present work and in future it will help us to design the TLPs as well as the tendon system in deep sea. Finally, a number of recommendations have been made for further research based on the present study.</text>

<text>For Environmental concern on synthetic fibers (such as glass, carbon, ceramic fibers, etc.) natural fibers such as flax, hemp, jute, kenaf, etc. are widely used. In this research work, jute fiber reinforced polypropylene matrix composites have been developed by hot compression molding technique with varying process parameters, such as fiber condition (untreated and alkali treated), fiber sizes (1, 2 and 4 mm) and percentages (5%, 10% and 15% by weight). The developed jute fiber reinforced composites were then characterized by tensile test, optical and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that tensile strength increases with increase in the fiber size and fiber percentage; however, after a certain size and percentage, the tensile strength decreases again. Compared to untreated fiber, no significant change in tensile strength has been observed for treated jute fiber reinforcement. Fractographic observation suggests the fracture behavior to be brittle in nature. Keywords: Natural fiber, Jute fiber, Polypropylene, Composite, Tensile strength. DOI: 10.3329/jname.v3i1.923 Journal of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering 3(2006) 1-6</text>
