<text>Over the years, technology appears to be making life easier and better. However, in some instances, it appears technology is counterproductive. Mobile learning devices, as the name suggests, have been developed to facilitate learning on the move. The questions are: Are these devices truly facilitating learning? If they are truly facilitating learning, are they facilitating learning positively or negatively? To answer these questions, the survey research design was adopted on a sample of 215 randomly selected students. In the process, questionnaire and focused group discussion guideline were used to collect relevant data. Data analysis was both qualitative and quantitative. Some of the core findings from this investigation were that majority of the respondents, and by extension the target population, were barely using the tablets and free internet browsing megabytes [10Gb monthly] given to all students for the intended purpose of learning. Some were pre-occupied with downloading videos, films and music while some spend endless hours playing computer games or chatting on social networks with the attendant consequence of poor learning, dwindling academic performance and productivity. Relevant recommendations to redress this unwholesome trend were proffered</text>

<text>The Egyptian school education systems is currently in a miserable state and facing some problems. To overcome the problems, there is a suggestion towards the development and implementation of mobile learning (m-Learning) as a new learning tool in the education system. The aim of this paper is to investigate the Egyptian students’ perception towards m-learning as a new learning tool and its benefits through a survey of 120 students from a public preparatory school in Egypt. Data was gathered and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Version 23. The results demonstrated a positive attitude from the participants towards the benefits of M-learning. The majority of students showed their concerns about technical issues of m-learning such as the small screen and limited storage. The results also revealed the positive attitude towards the value of M-learning, especially for those who use E-learning resources. A large proportion of participants use their devices for different activities such as messages, Internet browsing and games rather than learning. This has point the need for more investigation to determine the factors that may affect the students' intention to use their devices in learning.</text>

<text>Augmented reality is a ground-breaking technology that allows users to communicate with an enticing real-world experience to receive messages or knowledge. Today, mask inspection is essential to relay information to society through an augmented reality where extensive information about masks is required and identifying them is challenging. Furthermore, with augmented reality, society may have access to the fascinating way of getting information on the masks, assisting in spreading knowledge, particularly during this pandemic. The augmented reality on a visual inspection mask (ARVIM) was created utilizing 3D images on an Android smartphone platform. The models were created using Blender Animation and Unity 3D software. Vuforia Engine and Android Studio applications were used to build a personalized mobile Augmented Reality application. Google Cloud was used to store data that are accessible to users. ARVIM has facilitated teaching and interaction with 3D AR effects enjoyable for users. The analysis results on the use of ARVIM revealed that ARVIM obtained a high easiness rating of 80%. While 83% of respondents say ARVIM can help distinguish between different types of masks, 88% of respondents agreed that ARVIM's design is acceptable and approachable. This initiative enhances society's education in interactive and mixed-reality innovation settings through a long-distance and innovative teaching method that gives a comprehensive Google Platform experience.</text>

Finally, we analyze the interactions in the Flipboard mobile app. We carried out a study consisting of 13 participants in UUM Sintok, they were assigned five tasks to perform and questionnaires were distributed to gather their experience with the app. The results of this study showed that participants were satisfied with the application's aesthetic but find the complexity of features provided in the application to perform various functions very frustrating to use.</text>

<text>Due to the exponential rise of mobile technology, a slew of new mobile security concerns has surfaced recently. To address the hazards connected with malware, many approaches have been developed. Signature-based detection is the most widely used approach for detecting Android malware. This approach has the disadvantage of being unable to identify unknown malware. As a result of this issue, machine learning (ML) for identifying and categorising malware apps was created. Conventional ML methods are concerned with increasing classification accuracy. However, the standard classification method performs poorly in recognising malware applications due to the unbalanced real-world datasets. In this study, an empirical analysis of the detection performance of ML methods in the presence of class imbalance is conducted. Specifically, eleven (11) ML methods with diverse computational complexities were investigated. Also, a synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) and random undersampling (RUS) are deployed to address the class imbalance in the Android malware datasets. The experimented ML methods are tested using the Malgenome and Drebin Android malware datasets that contain features gathered from both static and dynamic malware approaches. According to the experimental findings, the performance of each experimented ML method varies across the datasets. Moreover, the presence of class imbalance deteriorated the performance of the ML methods as their performances were amplified with the deployment of data sampling methods (SMOTE and RUS) used to alleviate the class imbalance problem. Besides, ML models with SMOTE technique are superior to other experimented methods. It is therefore recommended to address the inherent class imbalance problem in Android Malware detection.</text>

<text>Vehicular traffic is continuously increasing around the world, especially in urban areas, and the resulting congestion has become a major concern to automobile users. The popular static electric traffic light controlling system can no longer sufficiently manage the traffic volume in large cities where real time traffic control is paramount to deciding best route. The proposed mobile traffic management system provides users with traffic information on congested roads using weighted sensors. A prototype of the system was implemented using Java SE Development Kit 8 and Google map. The model was simulated and the performance was assessed using response time, delay and throughput. Results showed that, mobile devices are capable of assisting road users’ in faster decision making by providing real-time traffic information and recommending alternative routes.</text>

<text>The importance of locating a mobile phone has increased significantly during last decade for security and commercial reasons. Locating the mobile phone leads to locating people. This is done by using the most common propagation models in the mobile phone network design to calculate the distance between the mobile phone and the base station, in addition to using positioning algorithms to predict the location of the mobile station. In this work, three telecommunication towers that provide mobile phone service for Zain Iraq were selected, located within the Mahmudiya area in Baghdad as a case study, and a test drive was conducted to measure the signal strength received from these base stations at more than 10 points located within the coverage area of these base stations. The Okumura-HATA model, and the UMTS propagation model were used to calculate the distances. The Gray-Wolf algorithm was used to improve mobile phone position prediction.</text>

<text>Nepal is a small state situated in a geo-strategic location between two major powers—China and India, the former being a great state, and the latter a middle state. Nepal has asymmetric relations with both India and China in terms of national power. Nepalese psyche has been shaped by the very geostrategic situation since the time immemorial. However, Nepal as a modern state was born only in 1768, since then it has adopted different strategies for its survival according to the changes in international, regional and domestic power equations. During the initial phase (1768-1814), Nepal was called Gorkha empire and it had pursued a grand strategy of sub-regional hegemony while being mindful of the sensibilities of the big powers in the North and the South. Nepal made a transition from imperial grand strategy to small power diplomacy in 1816 when it was defeated in Anglo-Nepal War (1814-16). From 1848, when Jung Bahadur came to power, Nepal started to fully bandwagon with the British colonialists in India. After that, Nepal had followed strategies of ‘special relationship’ with its neighbors, non-alignment, balancing, balking, neutrality, equidistance, equiproximity and trilateral cooperation depending upon changes in domestic, and regional as well as international politics.</text>

<text>The pandemic situation forces us to use technology in learning. Likewise, prospective teachers who do field practice must prepare themselves to learn to use technology. So to overcome this, research was conducted to determine the validity, practicality, and responses of prospective teachers to the Computational Thinking (CT) based teaching practice model for mathematics teachers. This study uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, questionnaire validation, practicality questionnaire and teacher candidate response questionnaire used in the study. The results showed that the design of teaching practice based on the CT approach was very feasible to use, marked by the results of validation, practicality and positive responses from prospective teachers to the practice model used, as well as an increase in creativity of teaching practice. We recommend a CT-based teaching practice model using Ed-Tech on a hybrid learning system. This research is still limited to the mathematics department and for future researchers to carry out this practice in other majors in the university environment.</text>

<text>To assist soldiers in training agility and accuracy, a technology is needed for movement and targets, many factors need to be considered, such as field conditions, target movement and personnel movement towards the technology used, understanding of shooting theory and the physical and psychological conditions of the personnel themselves. To realize this application, the writer uses communication to move the gunshot wound to be tested using a long-range radio nRF24l01 which functions to send and receive data between the sensor and the gunshot wound, and Lora 1278 is used to transmit data obtained from the detection of microwave radar sensors processed by Arduino which is then sent to the receiver on a gunshot wound. Parameters consisting of throughput, delay, packet loss, RSSI, and SNR greatly affect the quality of data transmission, and from testing the best data quality can be obtained at a distance of 50 meters. Based on the test data for the distance of 80 m, 70 m, and 50 m, the greatest delay value was obtained at a distance of 80 m at 0.143 s, with packet loss of 0.75%.
