<text>India and China share a complex bilateral relationship, consisting of military confrontations, diplomatic dialogues, and intense economic activities, concurrent with multilateral engagements. Their growth prospects and future visions set them on a path of intense competition. Also, China’s consistent growth to become a major player in the global arena poses many strategic challenges to India’s growth story.
The foremost challenge is that China poses a direct military threat to India, due to its rapidly modernising military forces, as well as thebloody history of India-China territorial disputes. Second, China’s burgeoning economic muscle affords it the luxury of shaping worldopinion in its favour and to India’s detriment. This factor is compounded by China’s influence on international bodies like the UN and financial institutions like the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which may impinge on India’s national interests. Coupled with this is the consistently expanding Chinese influence in South Asia, directly challenging India’s dominant position in the region. This commentary examines the challenges that India faces from China and further evaluates possible strategic options for India.</text>

<text>With today's advanced technology microstrip patch antennas are more flexible and stronger than ever before. These antennas can work on various frequencies ranging from low to high for a huge variety of applications including medical, military and quite a few more. This paper presents the textile antennas those are designed for Wi-MAX application with the frequency range of 3.09–3.94 GHz, fifth generation (5G) lower band with the resonant frequency of 4.23–5.65 GHz and UWB 4.62–10.74 GHz applications. This work also introducing a single C-shape etching slot (CSES) in a rectangular patch antenna. The textile substrate (jeans) has been applied to reduce the surface wave losses and design a wearable textile antenna using microstrip line feed technology. Bending effect up to 750 and radiation effect on human tissue as specific absorption rate (SAR) are analyzed using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) tools. Textile antennas for multiple band applications can be created using CSES which can be attributed to cotton, denim cotton and polyester.</text>

<text>Today's graduating telecommunications engineers need marketable skills that are typically developed beyond the traditional classrooms. These skills set can be acquired by experimenting for hands-on experience that resembles the professional field workplace. In this paper, we address blending of methodologies, applications, and the use of the Internet for delivery of knowledge, and instruction in an undergraduate wireless communications engineering course. This solution combines several different delivery methods, such as face-to-face, team collaboration, field measurements, in conjunction with high-end professional simulation software. Two examples of handover in a dual-mode cellular network and radio frequency (RF) signal propagation modeling are considered. Demonstrations and verification of theoretical models are presented based-on blending of instructional means. Lessons are learned to enhance hands-on experiments beyond traditional laboratories to strengthen in-depth analysis, learning skills of students, in addition to promoting proper team collaboration on projects.</text>

<text>The digital gaming community appreciates the visual style classification system to search for information about a game product. However, scholars have discovered that the applied visual style classification system frequently leads to frustration and dissatisfaction among users owing to inaccurate search results. Moreover, there are yet any research studies that accurately measure user satisfaction during game searching activity in the digital game library based on the current visual style classification system. Therefore, this study was performed to investigate the influence of information quality components (Accuracy, Content, Ease of Use, Format, and Timeliness) on User Satisfaction during game searching activity in the digital game library. A cross-sectional study was conducted by distributing self-administered digital questionnaires to 239 game players in Malaysia. The 12-item instrument survey questionnaire, which consists of four main sections, adopted the End-user Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model to examine the relationships between user satisfaction and information quality components. The results were then analysed using descriptive statistics, preliminary data analysis, and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Based on the findings, more than half of the respondents were male (n = 139, 58.2%) with an age range between 19 and 24 years old, and 79.1% (n = 189) have experience in searching digital games based on visual styles. The EUCS model revealed that user satisfaction during game searching activity using the visual style information highly correlated with Content, Accuracy, and Ease of Use. Users were satisfied when they receive accurate, precise, and sufficient information. In addition, a user-friendly and simplified navigation interface improved the searching experience and stimulate users to further their searching activity. In contrast, the Format and Timeliness showed a weak correlation. Providing visual classification and appeal format has less impact on user satisfaction. In addition, the fast speed of information retrieval and up-to-date information showed an insignificant contribution to user satisfaction. Overall, this research demonstrated that information quality components, namely Content, Accuracy, and Ease of Use, influenced User Satisfaction when searching for games based on the visual style. Future studies should explore and evaluate the effectiveness of visual style information systems for digital game distribution platforms in Malaysia.</text>

<text>Depression is a critical public health problem, mainly when it affects young people (adolescents). This condition is most challenging to detect in this group because they tend to think about other people's negative assumptions. Adolescents with depressive symptoms refuse to seek professional help due to their stigma and their future if they were labeled as depressed teenagers. Depression is a severe mental issue that should be detected from an early stage so that the problem can be curbed and resolved immediately. Diagnosis should be carried out to assess mental health, followed by referral to professional help. This study aims to motivate adolescents to diagnose depression levels through gamification techniques. Fifty-three secondary students participated in a survey designed in this study to measure motivation enhancement factors. The result of this study was used to develop a depression diagnosis model. The proposed model applied a gamification design technique consisting of three main ideas: gamification elements, user types, and motivational elements. This model will serve as the foundation to develop a mobile application system that can benefit users, especially adolescents, in self-diagnosing depression.</text>

<text>Flooding has become one of the most rapidly growing types of natural disaster that has spread around the globe. It is is one of the major natural hazards in many countries and mostly affected in the low-lying or flood prone areas. In order to minimize loss of life and economic losses, a detailed and comprehensive decision making tool is necessary for both flood control planning and emergency service operations. In this paper, we demonstrate our research design for mobile based decision support of Flood Early Warning System (FEWS). We outlined four research objectives. Firstly, critical criteria for flood risk assessment will be identified and the second step will involve develop measurement model for relative flood risk using Geographic Information System (GIS), Multi Attribute Decision Making (MADM) and data mining technique. In the third objectives, the holistic architectural design is develop by incorporating the communication technology and other related ICT requirements for the mobile decision support. The fourth objective is to validate the mathematical model and architectural design. Case study approach is chosen in order to understand the flood event and validate the decision support model. Following well-defined procedures, flood maps were drawn based on the data collected from expert responses to a questionnaire, the field survey, satellite images, and documents from flood management agencies. It is anticipates that by integrating of mathematical model, GIS and mobile application in flood risk assessment could provide useful detailed information for flood risk management, evacuation, communication. The decision support design from this study is perhaps to improve the warning system and contribute to reduction of casualties.</text>

<text>In VLSI, power optimization is the main criteria for all the portable mobile applications and developments because of its impact on system performance. The performance of an adder has significant impact on overall performance of a digital system. Adiabatic logic (AL), a new emerging research domain for optimizing the power in VLSI circuits with high switching activity is discussed, in this paper, for implementing the adder circuits. Various adiabatic logic styles full adder designs are reviewed and multiplexer based hybrid full adder topology is designed and implemented with ECRL and 2PASCL AL styles. Moreover in this paper, 32 bit adders such as Ripple Carry Adder (RCA), Carry Select Adder (CSLA), Carry Save Adder (CSA), Carry Skip Adder (CSKA) and Brent Kung Adder (BKA) are realised using proposed ECRL and 2PASCL adiabatic full adders. All the adders are implemented and simulated using TANNER EDA tool 22nm technology, parameters like power, area, delay and power delay product (PDP) of all the adders are observed at different operating frequencies, with supply voltage of 0.95 v and load capacitance of 0.5 pF. The observed parameters are compared with the existing adiabatic full adder designs and concluded that the proposed adiabatic full adders have the advantages of less power, delay and transistor count. In conclusion ECRL full adder is 31% faster, has equal PDP and less area than 2PASCL full adder. At 1000MHz ECRL 32 bit carry save adder is having less delay among all the 32 bit adder and 65% less PDP than 2PASCL adder and it is concluded that ECRL 32 bit carry save adder can be selected for implementation of circuits that can be used in portable mobile applications.</text>

Despite the slow acceptance of this novel technology, The Open University of the Netherlands (OU) is preparing to offer study material for this new medium. This paper reports the first experiences with the introduction of the new technology, both from a content producerâ??s perspective as well as from a consumerâ??s viewpoint. As it turned out, a significant amount of effort had to be spent on reformatting the already available A4 sized standard study material to accommodate the small 6â??â?? screen sizes of todayâ??s E-ink readers. Our experience suggests that the classic A4 study material production process has to be replaced by a media-agnostic process, allowing for a flexible formatting and sizing of the content at the end of the process. In addition, since much of the content originates from external publishers, their â??reformatting</text>

<text>This work proposes designing and implementing a method for the gamification application of Fun Run events in order to promote physical activity. The application transforms the standard Fun Run which is normally included as a side event called “The gaming Fun Run” to marathon events designed for people who are interested in either gamified applications or their health allowing them to playand run at the same time. The application was used during the event called “The Run Fest“ to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the opening of Chiang Mai University's College of Arts, Media, and Technology. Based on the results of satisfaction questionnaires, the 701 participants, including 339 males and 362 females, were pleased and motivated to engage in physical activities. In addition, it can be concluded that running newcomers, 380 people, or 54.20% of all participants, were attracted to attend the running event and were able to complete the route, indicating that it was a successful promotion that enhances physical activity and health among newcomers in running through the application of gamification.</text>

<text>The traditional assumption of the state sovereignty norm has been that an international society of states will structure the international order to safeguard the interests of the state. The end of the Cold War era transformed international relations and led to a discussion on how states interacted with their populations. From the early 1990s, research on international relations, war and peace, and security studies identified the growing problem of failing states. Such states are increasingly unable to implement the core functions that define the sovereignty norms. This article explores the state-building process of Kosovo with a focus on the political road taken from independence in February 2008 to the challenges Kosovo faces today. Kosovo still has substantial issues to address regarding core state functions in the development of prosperity, popular representation and security.</text>
