<text>—In the communication networks, guidance has become an important factor, with a significant impact on network performance, where the network orientation area has been and continues to be an ongoing development, intensive research for many years aimed at optimizing the network. This paper performs three modifications for a multipath routing protocol to solve the problem of routing in a DCell network simulation and apply online solutions on the network, the goal is to improve the transition efficiency of data. The modifications used to avoid data transmission failures which are delay problem, link failure problem, and power off (rack problem). The implementation of multipath routing protocol on the DCell network in actual simulation using the NS-3 program, which represents the rule that the DCell network was built and simulated. Finally, the modifications succeeded and return good results decreasing the delay time and solving the data transaction problems.</text>

<text>Growing of time-sensitive applications such as streaming multimedia, voice over IP and online gaming required strongly support from mobile communication technology. So, the persistent need for wireless broadband technologies such as LTE-A is essential. LTE-A can achieve QoS in an efficient manner by using a reliable packet scheduling algorithm. It also supports good cell coverage by using heterogeneous capability. In this paper, modifications of proportional fair (PF) algorithm are proposed with different methods to compute the average throughput, which is the main and important parameter in the PF cost function. These methods are geometric mean, root mean square and arithmetic mean. Vienna simulator is used to study the performance of the proposed algorithms. A comparison between PF modifications and the most famous algorithms (the original PF and Best CQI algorithms) with various UE velocities is introduced. Average UE throughput, spectral efficiency, energy per bit, cell throughput and fairness are used as performance indicators. The results expose that QPF has best improved values for spectral efficiency, energy per bit and fairness by 8.4%, 14%, and 9.3%, respectively than original PF. However, Best CQI has a better value of average UE and cell throughput than all algorithms of 2% and 1.8% in low and medium UE velocity, respectively, but the best value of all types of throughput at high speed is gained by QPF. QPF and GMPF has the same performance in fairness with all UEs speeds.</text>

In fact, wireless technologies such as laptop computers, palmtop computers, and mobile phones are revolutionizing education and transforming the traditional classroom based learning and teaching into anytime and anywhere education. This paper investigates the use of wireless technologies in education with particular reference to the potential of learning new technical English Language words using SMS text messaging. The system, developed by the authors, called Mobile Learning Tool (MOLT), has been tested with 45 first-year undergraduate students. Studentsâ?? opinions have been collected after the experiment. Our results show that students enjoyed and be happy used mobile phones to learn new technical English word. We believe that if we add the improvements or modifications students wish to see in the MOLT system, then using the MOLT system as an educational tool will contribute to motivation and success of students.</text>

<text>Constructivist theory has been part of the historiography of the Cold War's end and the unification of Germany since the late 1990s. However, much of the literature on the subject of Gorbachev and German unity interprets events using security and economics as having dictated Soviet policy of the period. This paper discusses Materialist, Realist, and Constructivist theories and their necessary interaction to provide a more thorough analysis of Gorbachev's role in German unity. It argues not only that German Unification was the unforeseen byproduct of Gorbachev's policies meant to revitalize the Soviet economy, but also that German unity was not possible until Gorbachev's economic and security concerns for the USSR's future were allayed. These concerns were not addressed by traditional measures, but through the trust developed between Gorbachev, West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, and the Federal Republic of Germany. Constructivist theory adds significant dimensions to the existing interpretations of Materialist and Realist theories in explaining how Gorbachev addressed Soviet concerns and policies of reform during the process of German unification where earlier confrontationist policies failed.

The design and development of a Smart Power monitoring device used to make monitoring on the electrical parameters represented as voltage, current, and power of Wasit university buildings. The system has a unit with smart sensing to detect and control the electrical devices employed for daily activities by following different tariff rates. It has the capability to decrease consumer costs improving grid stability. A developed model was broadly examined and experimental results comparing these results with devices of conventional measuring. The Arduino based wireless powering meter is a non-invasive existing meter for domiciliary power with a WI-FI Connection. A split-core is used to measure the current transformers. 802.11b connection is a means for transmitting data through the home’s wireless router to the base station and monitoring web portal based on wireless sensor network. A clear projection for domestic data use is one of the aims of this project. By these data, it can supply estimation to consuming power. Optimizing and reducing power usage are the objectives of providing such data.</text>

<text>While Kerala has been hailed for its development in social sectors, the available data show the remarkable finding that Kerala’s morbidity is the highest in India. Literature reveals two major streams of argument for this, one questioning the comparability of the reported rates of morbidity and the other admitting that the higher rates of morbidity actually represent the situation. The present study analyses the pattern of morbidity in Kerala, tries to analyse the morbidity pattern and finds out the reasons for highest morbidity in highest Monthly Per Capita Consumption Expenditure (MPCE) group and lower morbidity in ST households. The paper argues that the prevalence of lifestyle diseases among highest MPCE group is one critical reason for the high morbidity rates in Kerala. It also proposes urgent interventions on behalf of the government that can effectively counter the high rates of infectious diseases among ST households.</text>

<text>The study suggests looking into culturally sensitive data sources like popular films that open a window into the social psyche. As an illustrative case, the climax sequence of a popular Malayalam film Aniyathipravu is analyzed using the method of visual analysis. The analysis is guided by the hermeneutic approach of psychoanalysis and by inputs from evolutionary psychology. The analysis attempts to explore the aspects of individuation of the son, female identity formation and the familial consequences of these aspects in the contemporary society. It reveals how the son is caught in the ambivalence of wanting to be separate from his mother and to be dependent on her, and how the mother is evolved into the cultural stereotype of mother-in-law. The study also shows that motherhood overshadows all other aspects of the female identity in the contemporary society. Study has demonstrated the use of visual analysis to interpret data from popular culture. It indicates the need to psychologically analyze family structure in the contemporary society.</text>

<text>Becoming a mother is a life altering experience on its own. When women who serve in the military become mothers for the first time their cover as conceptual men is broken. Motherhood ultimately alters the playing field. This article explores the challenges of motherhood within the military. It investigates how women serving in the Irish Defence Forces navigate work life balance in a male dominated organisation as they undertake the most female role of all motherhood. It explores issues that arise before during and after pregnancy and how the Defence Forces responds. The White Paper on Defence published in 2015, made a commitment to continue to progress work life balance initiatives for all members of the organisation (Department of Defence, 2015).This paper provides a valuable opportunity to generate narratives that have not been heard in the organisation before in response to this commitment.
This study confirmed that women re-evaluate their future careers when children arrive and based on current requirements for career progression within the Defence Forces are self-selecting not to progress. It also confirmed that the current career obstacles for many to overcome require a clear choice between family and work. This research drew attention to the fact that women are disadvantaged by common practices of performance appraisal when absent for maternity leave. This research has also demonstrated that women are highly committed to the Defence Forces and deeply appreciated of the statutory entitlements they receive. The article argues that, for the Irish Defence Forces to recruit, retain, promote and increase the number of women within the organisation, it is essential for it to acknowledge that the current practices do not fit with the way that women work. Failure to do so will continue to result in a loss of capability which the Defence Forces cannot afford.

<text>Prediction of ship's response in real voyage condition is essential for efficient ship design. At sea, ships rarely voyage in head wave conditions, and mostly prefer oblique waves for lower resistance and better propulsion. This paper provides oblique wave simulation results for a container, tanker and bulk carrier using a commercial potential flow (PF) based solver, HydroSTAR. Although, PF codes have limitation regarding resistance prediction, they are well reliable in predicting ship motion in waves. The paper aims at providing a relative comparison of ship resistance and motion in different heading angles for three major ship models namely KCS, KVLCC2 and JBC. The paper should prove useful to shippers in case of weather routing or route selection for voyage. </text>
