<text>Inclined shaft propeller arrangements are demonstrated in the high-speed boat. The flow field around the propeller blades with inclined shaft propeller is unsteady due to the cross-flow component from the influx of the shaft direction which complicated more than the straight shaft propeller condition (without inclined shaft propeller). Therefore, realistic flow around inclined shaft propeller is important to the actual efficiency of propeller. In addition, propeller characteristics such as the pitch, skew and rake are influences to propeller performance, maybe not done in design condition which is different from the straight shaft propeller. This paper offers the investigation of unsteady propeller performance with operating the different inclined shaft angle conditions for Long-Tail Boat (LTB) using a Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) solver. The unsteady calculations are conducted by inclined flow conditions. The computational results of propeller performance and pressure distribution on the suction and pressure sides at the blades of time-accuracy have been compared to each other including the wake effect behind the propeller. The results can be applied to adjust the inclined shaft angle of the boat.</text>

<text>This paper presents results from the application of the genetic algorithm (GA) technique to the design optimization of hydrofoil and marine propeller incorporating potential based boundary element method (BEM). Although, larger population size as implemented by simple genetic algorithm (SGA) could find the optimal individual after a fewer number of generations than smaller population size, it is penalized by a longer amount of time to evaluate fitness in every generation. An investigation is, therefore, conducted in this research to implement micro genetic algorithm (μGA) with a very small population, and with simple genetic parameters, in order to achieve faster convergence to better solution from generation to generation. The technique is applied here to optimize hydrofoils of different plan forms, e.g., rectangular, elliptical, trapezoidal etc. Firstly, the hydrofoil design parameters, such as, angle of incidence, maximum thickness and camber ratios, aspect ratio, taper ratio, angle of sweep etc. are initialized randomly and the generated hydrofoil is analyzed by potential based boundary element method. GA then updates the design parameters over generation after generation and finally, finds an improved hydrofoil of maximum lift-drag ratio or minimum drag coefficient satisfying some design constraints. An improved blade or hydrofoil section is also designed by GA satisfying some design constraints. Finally, the technique is applied to the optimum design of marine propeller. In this study, μGA is found useful and prospective tool for the design optimization of hydrofoil and marine propeller due to its faster convergence. <text> This article focuses on practices of citizenship in Estonia by persons with multiple citizenship or multicultural background. In the previous stages of research on this topic primary attention was paid to national citizenship, multiple citizenship and European Union citizenship as institutions, as well as the role of citizenship in the construction of European space. Expected "configurations" of multiple citizenship as articulated in Marshallian (1992) terms, as well as linkages between different spaces of membership (national and not-national) of citizenship as perceived by the national decision makers, mapped both avenues and bottleneck s for the future. Our research raises questions and problems related to citizenship as both an essential tool of nation building and of EU integration (cf. Ruutsoo and Kal ev 2006, Ruutsoo and Kalev forthcoming).

<text>This paper proposes a new thin curved sensor/strip to measure the relative slip between pad and specimen under fretting condition. Since the relative contact displacement is an important parameter to categorize the fretting process, the measurement of contact displacement between pad and specimen is necessary. Because of high yield strength and the ability to return to its initial position even with notable deflection, the spring steel have chosen to fabricate the thin curved strip. Before the fabrication, the detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of the thin curved sensor was carried out. The strip consists of different shapes (rectangular, circular and elliptical) of slots and the number of slots in each strip is varied from 2 to 6. The Strain Energy Approach (SEA) has been used to calculate the displacement for the curved strip and it was compared, verified and validated with its FEA and Experimental results. From FEA study of thin curved strip with slots, four configurations were chosen to measure micro level displacement between pad and specimen under fretting experiments. The study reveals that the increasing number and size of holes presented in the curved strip indicate that the increased in displacement and von-Mises stress values which offers the higher flexibility to the strip. The reduction in area and minimum thickness of the curved strip could be the reason for the decrease in the stiffness of the curved strip. This study explores the use of new simple and novel instrument/sensor to capture the micro level relative displacement between the pad and specimen under fretting condition.</text>

<text>International trade plays an important role in Malaysia’s economy and growth performance. The emergence of the coronavirus disease in 2019 (Covid-19) and declared a pandemic at the beginning of 2020 has led to an unprecedented economic crisis in Malaysia, as in most other countries. As the number of Covid cases increased after the first case was discovered in January 2020, the government implemented different degrees of Movement Control Orders (MCO) from 18th March till the current day at the point of writing this paper. The lockdown in Malaysia as well as many other countries led to supply and demand shocks, which has in turn affected the country’s cross border trade. Exports dropped continuously in the first five months of 2020 before recovering. The purpose of this article is to identify the key trade partners that contributed towards Malaysia’s export recovery in 2020, especially the role of China given the fact that it is Malaysia’s largest trading partner since 2010. Specifically, it examines how economic recovery in the major trade partners are correlated with Malaysia’s export recovery as well as the causal relationship underpinning the export recovery in 2020. The study shows that trade recovery in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic goes beyond domestic policy and production measures. Economic recovery in partner countries played a role too. </text>

<text>There is absolutely no doubt that the social media have advanced into Tertiary Institution, but Instructors mostly use social media for personal reasons. This research explores the social media world and how teachers use social media in their classes, by conducting a mixed method research where open-ended questionnaires were given to lecturers and interviews were further conducted with some selected lecturers in order to assess how they use social media in their classes. The information collected was organized and used to teach part of a class in multimedia development course where they serve as the control group. A close-ended questionnaire was then administered to the control group at the end of the course and their level of satisfaction recorded. The remaining part of the class forms the experimental group and was taught using the researcher’s 9-point method of applying social media in the classroom; using the same questionnaire, their satisfaction level was recorded. The data collected on the student’s satisfaction level was analyzed using SPSS software version 20 and the result was that most of the teachers employ the social media for personal use, and that older teachers use less social media in education than their younger counterparts. High social media usage was found among both the teachers and students so also was the time spent on social media and a significant increase in satisfaction level was noticed among students of the experimental group.</text>

<text>This paper presents the design and implementation of DLMA_NEU, adigital literacy mobile application for Android that targets children between ages 7 and 18. It is a developmental study aimed at designing a digital literacy mobile application the study conducted in the following three phases: Phase 1. The App is the first digital literacy mobile application in Turkish.DLMA_NEUemploys children’s opinions and also adds the interactive option. To use the application, a child is required to register first. And to provide representation, the application currently supports two languages (English and Turkish). The application supports chatting with friends, and educates children (via videos, text, cartoons and jokes) on how to interact online. The application also serves as an avenue for children to report cyber bullying and other online issues as well assimultaneously acquiring informationon internet usage habits.
