The objective of the paper is anidentification of characteristic development trends within a set of thesenon-state territorial political units, and it investigates the relation betweenthe degree of their internal sovereignty and their level of partialinternational recognition. The quantitative method for assessment of thedegree of internal sovereignty is based on a set of seven indicators and anaggregate “indicator of internal sovereignty”. The set of de facto states iscomposed of 26 entities whose development is analyzed from 2001 to 2018.The results confirmed a relationship between the development of worldpolitics and the development trends within the set of de facto states, asignificant influence of partial international recognition on the level ofinternal sovereignty, and a close relation between security and politicalindicators of sovereignty.</text>

<text>Due to the exponential rise of mobile technology, a slew of new mobile security concerns has surfaced recently. To address the hazards connected with malware, many approaches have been developed. Signature-based detection is the most widely used approach for detecting Android malware. This approach has the disadvantage of being unable to identify unknown malware. As a result of this issue, machine learning (ML) for identifying and categorising malware apps was created. Conventional ML methods are concerned with increasing classification accuracy. However, the standard classification method performs poorly in recognising malware applications due to the unbalanced real-world datasets. In this study, an empirical analysis of the detection performance of ML methods in the presence of class imbalance is conducted. Specifically, eleven (11) ML methods with diverse computational complexities were investigated. Also, a synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) and random undersampling (RUS) are deployed to address the class imbalance in the Android malware datasets. The experimented ML methods are tested using the Malgenome and Drebin Android malware datasets that contain features gathered from both static and dynamic malware approaches. According to the experimental findings, the performance of each experimented ML method varies across the datasets. Moreover, the presence of class imbalance deteriorated the performance of the ML methods as their performances were amplified with the deployment of data sampling methods (SMOTE and RUS) used to alleviate the class imbalance problem. Besides, ML models with SMOTE technique are superior to other experimented methods. It is therefore recommended to address the inherent class imbalance problem in Android Malware detection.</text>

<text>Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR) is an efficient routing protocol used for various Ad hoc networks. OLSR employs the Multipoint Relay (MPR) technique to reduce network overhead traffic. A mobility model's main goal is to realistically simulate the movement behaviors of actual users. However, the high mobility and mobility model is the major design issues for an efficient and effective routing protocol for real Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs). Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the performance of the OLSR protocol concerning various random and group mobility models. Two simulation scenarios were conducted over four mobility models, specifically the Random Waypoint model (RWP), Random Direction model (RD), Nomadic Community model (NC), and the Reference Point Group Model (RPGM) with a low as well as high random range mobility of the nodes. Moreover, BonnMotion Software and Network simulator NS-3 used to implement the simulation scenarios. Further, the performance of the OLSR protocol analyzed and evaluated based on latency, routing overhead, and packet loss ratio metrics. According to the results, the OLSR protocol provides the best performance over the RWP model in a low mobility environment, whereas the Nomadic mobility model is suitable for OLSR protocol in a high mobility environment.</text>

<text>The field of Telecommunication has progressed and emerged to be a successful field of technology. From communicating via pigeons and cannon balls to video conferencing for a meeting, the communication has improved surpassing every user’s expectation. With the introduction of wireless communication, the field of communication took a different turn. Just when we thought we reached the zenith of wireless communication, an esoteric concept of StandAlone (S.A.) and Non-StandAlone (N.S.A.) opened the gates to a more efficient communication, expanding the horizons of technology. The 5G network has started developing over some regions in the world but the real question remains; which is, whether an efficient communication is worth the economy spent on developing it or certain advantages of this networks should be given up to protect the country’s economy. The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) presents two essential architecture for 5G deployment from LTE: Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA). NSA empowers quick 5G benefit arrangement with minimum investment by leveraging the existing LTE infrastructures. SA comprises of a single Radio Access Technology (RAT), meaning it is conceivable to supply full 5G upgrades designed to work only in the 5G New Radio (NR) This analytical paper elaborates the performance of these two architectures for the implementation of 5G cellular technology, where in the first one would be highly technology centric approach with less cost efficiency and the other one would be the economy savvy aspect with little bit negotiation with technology upgrades</text>

<text>In order for fact-finders to rationally evaluate the probative value of forensic pattern-matching evidence, information about the accuracy and reliability of examiners’ opinions is necessary. Empirical tests of ability and performance, however, must first begin with a claim about what that ability and performance might be. In this article, we attempt to identify performance claims made by forensic pattern-matching disciplines by surveying professional literature published by representative discipline organisations in fingerprints, footwear and tyres, firearms and toolmarks, and handwriting and documents. Amongst these disciplines we did not find performance claims that are readily amenable to empirical testing. To spur progress, we suggest a basic framework to guide forensic disciplines toward formulating empirical claims that lend themselves to scientific testing: stipulate (1) the task you can perform, (2) the necessary conditions of performance, and (3) the standard of performance you can achieve. Once empirical claims are made, empirical tests can be designed and conducted that will help to fortify the scientific evidence base for forensic pattern-matching techniques.</text>

n these days of technology, the usage of images has become increasingly high especially now that almost everyone has access to internet. Also, image helps us to learn, grabs our attention, explains complicated concepts as well as inspires us. Sharing these images is essential and therefore image encryption algorithms are proposed to secure the transmission of these image from many types of attacks such as Man-in-the-middle attack (MITM). In this paper, we proposed a hybrid security system that consist of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Advanced Encryption System (AES). Where ECC is used to generate private/public keys and AES is for encryption and decryption of the image using the ECC generated keys. The system works as follows; it begins by inserting the image to be encrypted which is “lena.png” of size 256*256 and passing it to AES Algorithm along with the generated public key. Then, in AES algorithm, the public key is hashed then used to encrypt the image with AES encryption algorithm. On the other hand, the decryption algorithm works as follows; inserting the encrypted image then calculating the decryption key to use it to decrypt the image using AES decryption algorithm. Finally, our experimental results shows that the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) test shows that the ECC generated keys have better randomness than using only AES generated keys. Also, the encrypted image histogram show that the image pixels values are well distributed across all three channels R, G and B. This shows that the hybrid system is a step further to get a more secure image encryption system against attacks with the generated ECC keys. To get further, Logistic chaotic map has been used to encrypt images for comparison purposes with AES and ECC generated images in terms of randomness, security and histogram</text>

<text>Video Streaming is a method to deliver multimedia content that allow files to be used or watched directly without the need to download and save it. Video streaming also include image processing, in image processing there is a component to compare the value of an image, that is PSNR. This research will compare the reactive and proactive routing protocol performance of AOMDV and DSDV using PSNR, Packetloss, and Throughput parameters in Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) for video streaming. The simulation uses 4, 16, 36, 64, and 100 nodes. The results of this research is AOMDV routing protocol with the greater variation in the number of nodes and the distance between nodes resulting in higher packet loss, decreasing throughput and decreasing values of PSNR. While in DSDV routing protocol with the greater variation in the number of nodes and distance between nodes has an impact on the increase of packetloss value, a very drastic decrease throughput value compared with the AOMDV routing protocol, a decrease in PSNR value and in some scenarios does not produce PSNR values. The comparison of PSNR values between the two routing protocols are also influenced by variations in the number of nodes and distances between nodes along with packetloss and throughput parameters. The greater packetloss will decrease the PSNR value generated.</text>

<text>Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) are considered as a reunion of wireless mobile devices (nodes) that form a temporary wireless network. In order to facilitate communication in MANET, every node has to participate in the routing process. Finding an optimal route is a fundamental task in MANET, where routes tend to be multi-hoped and susceptible. Several routing protocols exist and can be classified as; topology-based and position-based routing protocols. However, the efficiency of these protocols in highly dynamic and dense environments is a challenging task to be considered for increasing perceived Quality of Service (QoS) in MANET. This paper focuses on the presentation and basic operation of each category. A qualitative evaluation between both categories is conducted to achieve a performance comparison in terms of packet- delivery ratio, End-to End delay and routing overhead. Results show that position-based overcome topology-based routing protocols in high dynamic and sparse environments. Recommendations for designing and implementing efficient position-based protocols are presented.</text>
