This article analyzes the development of civil society in Russia in response to the fledging post-Soviet health care crisis. In recent years, Russian civil society has become significantly stronger and more actively engaged in public debates on social as well as political issues. This trend suggests that the process of social capital accumulation in Russia is well underway, thus instilling some hope for Russia's future. To illustrate this recent trend, I will analyze the development of two grassroots movements in St. Petersburg, which help families of children diagnosed with cancer to overcome the everyday psychological, legal and financial difficulties associated with treatment, and to lobby the government to go forward with health care reform. This paper is based on the author's personal experience as a participant in one of the grassroots initiatives, published materials in Russian journals and newspapers, and a series of interviews with volunteers. With this article, I hope to shed new light on developments in the Russian health care sector, and deepen our understanding of contemporary Russian civil society.

<text>The study focuses on how culture and social aspects are modified because of the effect of liberalization and globalization. It would focus on the prime factor of globalization - how it has produced a different Tamil cinema culture, of both conceptualizing the text as well as interpretation of the text. While commenting on contemporary Tamil cinema, the author puts forward the hypothesis that, present day Tamil cinema has a deep attraction to popular culture along with an amateur way of film making. These films and their film makers have diverted the global attention to Tamil cinema, along with providing their ardent audience a wide range of different films which they are ready to see and accept. Tamil cinema of today has more or less taken the „middle path‟, where commercially viable films are made with a sense of identity with original stories set within the culture.</text>

<text>Turkmenistan is a Central Asian country that largely depends upon agriculture and is enriched with natural resources like natural gas, petroleum, salt, and sulphur. The country has the sixth-largest natural gas reserves. Since its independence in 1991, the country follows a ‘positive neutrality' policy to avoid external interference in its domestic affairs. The country always acts as a mediator to maintain peace and stability. During the period of Niyazov, he used this neutrality policy to enforce his control over the country and isolate the country from the rest of the world. With the entry of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow into power in 2006, he tried to liberalize the economy as well as maintain the neutrality policy. So the ‘positive neutrality' adopted by Turkmenistan has had a different impact on its economy during different periods. Along with the isolationist policy, on one hand, Turkmenistan also emphasizes maintaining bilateral relations with other countries. This study is an attempt to analyze Turkmenistan's ‘positive neutrality' policy and its bilateral relations with the other countries with a special focus on India.

<text>Virtual reality (VR) technology has undergone a huge breakthrough in development and distribution over the last few years. Now it is becoming an increasingly popular tool not only in the field of creating computer games but also in industry and educational process. From the beginning, VR devices were big, uncomfortable, and very expensive. For this reason, they were used mainly in research laboratories, high-tech enterprises, and military installations. Currently, leading companies in the field of new technologies, such as HTC, Google, Sony, Samsung, have filled the market with compact and accessible devices for nesting in the VR. They managed to create a completely new category of consumer goods. The paper is devoted to the study of VR technologies and their use for the development of our own free-of-charge game. The created game combines several genres, escape room with elements of the genre of Shooter (FPS) and Logic. Our game could be used to practice logic and observation.</text>

<text>A floating system consisting of three pontoons equispaced, rigidly interconnected and taut moored to act as a single unit is analyzed. The theoretical formulation of the problem is based on the assumptions of irrotational fluid flow, an inviscid fluid, and small incident waves. The breakwater is assumed to be long and uniform in the direction parallel to the incident wave crests. The diffracted and the scattered potentials are obtained from the solution of boundary value problem using Green's identity method. The potentials and hence the free surface oscillations in between the spacing are also determined. The results of parametric study of varying space and drafts of the pontoons have been presented as a function of relative width of breakwater (Ratio of width of the breakwater to the wavelength) .It is evident from the results that the spaces between the pontoons have a definite effect on transmission and reflection characteristics of a floating breakwater system. As the draft of the floating breakwater increases the bandwidth of incident wave frequencies for which Kt (Ratio of transmitted wave height to incident wave height) is less than 0.2, also increases, thus ensuring a wider spectrum of operation. In addition the paper discusses on forces, oscillations in the interspaces and reflection coefficient. Keywords: breakwater, pontoon, taut moored, free surface oscillations. doi: 10.3329/jname.v1i1.2031 Journal of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering 1(2004) 3-17</text>

<text>The aim of this article is to present the most important voices on the role of the US in the international order during Donald Trump’s presidency in the debate held in the Foreign Affairs. The authors assume that Foreign Affairs expresses the opinions of the most crucial organisation bringing together the elites of American foreign affairs – the Council on Foreign Relations. The paper proposes a hypothesis according to which there is a difference of opinion due to the adopted theoretical perspective regarding Trump’s role in the destruction of the liberal international order among the American power elites, even though they agree that the ideological conflict between democratic and authoritarian countries around the world is escalating.</text>

<text>For industrial and academic researchers from all around the world, the Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a specific focus. A MANET was created as a result of the fast growth of wireless gadgets. Mobile Ad hoc network is a self-organizing network with no framework. MANET’s device has the ability to travel in any direction in order to transmit and receive data with other devices or network nodes. An administrator node which is capable of controlling other nodes is absent in MANET. All nodes in MANET act as its own router and host and arrange its own network. The most important element of MANET is Routing protocol. For routing in MANET, various routing protocol is responsible. Providing a video streaming service using mobile ad-hoc networks is a hard task. The network topology is immensely unstable and its instability causes data to be lost. The performance of MANET routing protocols for video applications has been examined in this paper. There are many routing protocols, however the Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol and Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocols are explored here. In this work, a comparison of these two effective routing protocols for supporting video streaming applications is offered.</text>

<text>Are happiness and well-being are not synonymous? Some say yes. There are others who say well-being = happiness + meaning. Subjective wellbeing (SWB) is the aspect of happiness that can be empirically measured. It is a combination of positive affect and general life satisfaction. This study explores Ashtanga Yoga as a tool for individual and societal wellbeing. Yoga is not a set of contorted postures and breathing exercises as it is being popularised today. The yogic way of life is not other-worldly. It offers a holistic life style full of bliss, peace and tranquillity. A person who is tranquil and has peace within himself will spread it around, and in the process peace, tranquillity, happiness and wellbeing will prevail in such a society.</text>
