<text>Nowadays, data collection has become an activity inherent in the emergence of any organization. The digital age has enabled the development of mobile data collection apps that are becoming increasingly common around the world. But faced with the growing number of apps offered, Data Managers are often challenged by with the choice of the solution that best suits their case. This study meets this need by providing clear, precise and verified information on each of the selected solutions. The study presents, analyzes and compares four mobile data collection solutions. To achieve an effective comparison, we first chose to collect and select papers on each of the solutions, and then to install and test each of them by executing a data collection process, all the way from the form creation to the visualization of collected data. The comparison presented in this paper was based on technical aspects but also on other important aspects to help users make a good decision.</text>

<text>This paper details a preliminary evaluation into the usability and universal design of force touch interaction with older users as recently introduced into the Apple iOS9 operating system. The evaluation involved a small group of older users and two typical smartphone tasks. The tasks involved increasing font size and rotating an image on an Apple iPhone with iOS9 installed. The study recorded task times and semi-structured interview responses. The overall results indicated that the new force touch feature can gain good acceptance from older users, but that there were some usability and universal design problems with the feature which hampered the potential of full acceptance by older users.</text>

The method for this research is a descriptive survey. The results indicate that students already have some skills in using mobile phones, particularly multimedia skills, which can be applied to STEM.</text>

<text>This paper studies the fluctuating forces on a plane surface beneath a circular cylinder in the subcritical flow regime using two-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The turbulent flow fields were calculated via numerical solutions of the Navier–Stokes (N–S) equations without a turbulence model (laminar flow computation), large eddy simulation (LES), and Reynolds-Averaged N-S equations (RANS) approach with the shear-stress transport (SST) turbulence model. The primary goal is to evaluate the performance of 2-D turbulence simulation with different approaches and to have preliminary knowledge of the forces on the plane which is important in studying scours and flow-induced vibration in ocean engineering. Results show that although a coarse mesh scheme can only obtain potential flows, the laminar approach with high mesh resolution can adequately simulate turbulent flows at moderate Reynolds numbers. Spatially, the fluctuating forces on the plane surface due to the flow are significant within three times the cylinder diameter in the downstream, and within one cylinder diameter in the upstream of the cylinder. The pressure fluctuations are approximately two orders of magnitude larger than the shear stress fluctuations. In the frequency domain, the fluctuating forces are significant under twice the vortex-shedding frequency. Within one cylinder diameter in the downstream and upstream regions of the cylinder, the pressure fluctuations on the plane surface are well correlated, while the shear stress is not so well correlated.</text>

<text>The objective of this research was to develop a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model which used a cloud-based constructivist learning environment to enhance Thai undergraduate creative thinking and digital media skills. Initially using a mixed-methods approach, a five-step model was conceptualized. Thereafter, a panel of five academic experts gave input into the model’s design from which the model was expanded to include six related learning environments.  The instrument used in the research was a problem-based assessment form. Data collection was carried out utilizing group chats and analyzed using descriptive statistics including the mean and standard deviation. The results of the study revealed that the initial model contained five steps including (1) problem identification, (2), problem analysis, (3) research, (4) presentations, and (5) summary and evaluation, which is integrated into the model’s additional six learning environment elements. These six learning environments were (1) problem-based, (2) resources, (3) cognitive tools, (4) collaboration, (5) scaffolding, and finally, (6) coaching. When applying the proposed model and related environments, there was a consensus from the experts that the model had excellent suitability and can be used as a model for teaching and learning at the bachelor's degree level.</text>

<text>Optimal production planning is one of the essential aspects of achieving company targets. Errors in planning production result in non-maximum profit gains. Furthermore, there needs to be a method to avoid mistakes in production planning, and it is necessary to use the proper technique. Xyz Convection is one of the businesses producing unique clothing for pants. This study aims to determine the optimization of XYZ convection production in maximizing profits using linear programming. Surveys and interviews with business owners of Xyz Convection carried out data collection. The data obtained are in the form of data on the use of raw materials, operating costs, margins, and selling prices. The amount of raw material inventory of jeans fabric in the 1st week is 550, in the 2nd week is 775, in the 3rd week is 550, and in the 4th week is 650. The method used in this study is linear programming, using the simplex method. The optimal solution is to obtain maximum profit from the production of convection pants every week with a fund of 21,000,000 IDR to produce 1.167 pcs of cotton shorts, where the company will earn a profit of 35,010,000 IDR with expenses less than the existing funds, which is 20,982,147 IDR.</text>

<text>In the digital age, people are increasingly connected and frequently use technology in their daily lives. Elementary school students are no exception. They show a great interest in the digital world and especially in games. Scratch gives these students the opportunity to create their own games instead of being passive consumers of these programs. Also, it is a software that allows the development of computational thinking. Thus, to learn programming using Scratch allows students to be actors in their learning which increases their capacity to solve problems. The objective of this work is to propose a pedagogical scenario to teach Scratch to primary school students based on active pedagogical approaches that put the learner at the centre of the teaching-learning process. Once challenged by a problem, students propose solutions. Scratch gives the opportunity to verify the accuracy of the proposed solutions. Accordingly, students try to detect the source of the error and rectify the instructions of their programs. The class, grouped in trios, evaluates the proposed solutions by adopting the "trial and error" method until the desired result is obtained. Therefore, the scenario proposed in this work combines active pedagogical approaches while taking into consideration the nature of the subject taught. Indeed, it aims to make the students fully involved in their learning with the "trial and error" method and to develop their capacities of investigation and problem-solving in a motivating and collaborative environment.</text>

<text>Nowadays, the rapid advancement of mobile software development has triggered to emerge of more online text messaging applications. In the environment of higher education institutions, it is also widely utilized to support the communication process between campus members. This research proposed a system of campus-specific online text messaging that is expected to improve academic activities. As a case study, the system was implemented using React Native framework and Push Notification Service for use in State Polytechnic of Malang, Indonesia. The system consists of three main subsystems that work together, including Client Application, Server Application, and Push Notification Manager. To evaluate the proposed system, we conducted a survey. The result of the user satisfaction test shows that most users consisting of lecturers, staff, and students felt more helped in the communication process in the campus environment.</text>

<text>E-learning became the main medium of education in the world for the past two years. COVID-19 virus has pushed all the universities and academic institutions to utilize and activate E-learning platforms and systems. The sudden and urgent transformation from the regular traditional learning system to E-learning system has involved many challenges and limitations. Therefore, the need to evaluate and enhance the current E-learning mechanism in Iraq became very urgent and critical need. The target level was students at higher education institutes which include university students in Basra city. The data collected based on students’ evaluation and opinions about E-learning based on their interaction and usage during two years under COVID-19 spread era. This research involved applying data mining techniques to sample dataset and utilizing the obtained results as feedback for a proposed model suggested by the authors to measure adaptability. The proposed model is derived from the idea of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with focus on the positivity as the main factor to measure adaptability. The results of the research showed approximate adaptation level of 52% which is very close compared to the actual situation in real life which involve limitations and challenges faced by Iraqi students.</text>
