<text>The study of power has been one of the main features of IR. While hard power remained at the forefront of the academic discourse for a long time, soft power emerged as an alternative to understand the complex interactions between states and how states employ different sources of non-coercive means to persuade global actors. Nye, in the late twentieth century, perpetrated the idea to indicate the shift from assertion to attraction. This research has focused on why soft power has been a more relevant device for certain states in the system that lack military might. The research has largely analyzed and described the various ways in which small states around the world have resorted to soft power in the face of the interdependent world order. It then has looked into the different ways through which Nepal as a small state can effectively examine its soft power sources, to garner influence in the global power structure and obtain its foreign policy objectives, keeping in mind that the soft power of any state is dependent of the resources that it has and is also able to mobilize.</text>

<text>Shortly after the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, the South African government instituted a nationwide lockdown, in an effort to curb the spread of the disease. However, a critical part of this process was the policing of communities under lockdown. In various communities throughout South Africa afflicted by gang-related crime, while the lockdown initially had an impact on gang activities, this did not last long. Gang subcultures continued despite the lockdown measures, as well as the joint military and police operations to maintain order. This article focuses on the relevance of punitive approaches to addressing gang subcultures in South Africa, particularly in the context of the Covid-19 and post-Covid-19 environment. It is based on research conducted by the authors in a gang-affected community in the city of Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), located in the Nelson Mandela Bay metro, in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The main argument is that punitive approaches are no longer effective (assuming they never were), and are certainly no longer relevant for addressing gang subcultures in the Covid-19 era.</text>

<text>With the rapid use of Android OS in mobile devices and related products, face recognition technology is an essential feature, so that mobile devices have a strong personal identity authentication. In this paper, we propose Android based software development framework for real-time face detection and recognition using OpenCV library, which is applicable in several mobile applications. Initially, the Gaussian smoothing and gray-scale transformation algorithm is applied to preprocess the source image. Then, the Haar-like feature matching method is used to describe the characteristics of the operator and obtain the face characteristic value. Finally, the normalization method is used to match the recognition of face database. To achieve the face recognition in the Android platform, JNI (Java Native Interface) is used to call the local Open CV. The proposed system is tested in real-time in two different brands of smart phones, and results average success rate in both devices for face detection and recognition is 95% and 80% respectively.</text>

This research focuses on measurement and testing based on usability level using the PACMAD model. Data collection was obtained from Performance Measurement, SUS Questionnaire, NASA-TLX Questionnaire, and RTA Questionnaire. The result from this process is measured using usability metrics, statistical testing, and calculation from the questionnaire, respectively. The next process, making a recommendation to improve UI, became a prototype based on The four Golden Rules of User Interface Design. The result of this process showed increased effectiveness 37.22%, efficiency 46.08%, satisfaction 24.25. Furthermore, errors aspect decreased 13.4%, and the cognitive load 18.54.</text>

<text>Though research on stress has been on the increase in recent years, occupational stress literature is based, to a large extent, on individual perception rather than substantiated fact. The present study was undertaken with the objective of developing a stress assessment test for the software professional. The test consists of 57 items covering four factors namely, job-related, organisational, personal and behavioural. The test was administered to 33 software specialists from a software firm in Bangalore. Based on the data, percentile norms were established. The scale was subjected to reliability test. The split half reliability is 0.816**. Work is currently on in the area and further research is required in this direction. Individual moves into a state of exhaustion, from which tissue breakdown and even death can result. In other words, continued stress can lead to bodily damage. The body manifests the stress reaction by a rise in blood pressure, increased adrenaline, changed heartbeat, more RBCs, slower digestion, and so on. However, Selye argued that a moderate amount of stress could be a positive experience while too little stress could be negative.</text>

<text>Aim/Purpose: This paper aims to explore the various problems associated with the technological, pedagogical, and psychological aspects of mobile learning and develop recommendations for its improvement. Background: Mobile learning becomes increasingly popular today. This type of learning is relatively new. It has recently gained popularity due to the pandemic restrictions in 2020. As mobile learning is being actively used, educators, students, and other professionals begin to note its positive and negative sides. Methodology: The study is based on the method of experiment as well as an online 11-item questionnaire was conducted (developed by authors) with 110 teachers in Russian universities (Russian State University named by A.N. Kosygina, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, and Kuban State Technological University). Contribution: The practical significance and prospects for further research are based on the possibility of using the results in further study of the problem of the impact of mobile applications on specific indicators. Findings: It was found that, given the great prevalence of mobile devices today, there is every reason to implement mobile learning at universities. However, there are infrastructural problems that prevent the widespread use of this mode of delivery (problems with the Internet, old gadgets that do not support 4G, lack of technical support, etc.). Teachers also mention a set of problems associated with the quality of such training, which are mainly related to pedagogical and psychological aspects of the process. About 56% of university teachers say that students often behave irresponsibly during online classes. They are inattentive, tend to skip lessons, and do not hand in the tasks, which leads to a decline of knowledge and failing at tests and exams. Around 68% of teachers have difficulties adapting their teaching methods to a mobile learning environment. Recommendations for Practitioners and Researchers: This study proposes structured recommendations to improve the quality of mobile learning by advancing technology skills, adapting mobile learning to the needs of universities, and raising the motivation of teachers and students. Impact on Society: The results of the study can be used to analyze and compare the impact of mobile learning on society, efficiency in various fields, as well as mobile learning of students on future employment and life in society. Future Research: In the future it will be important to conduct a comparative analysis of the impact of mobile learning on students and teachers, to study the effectiveness of such learning in general.</text>

<text>With advancements in device and communication technologies, there has been a great revolution in development of net gadgets and communication technologies like 4G, 5G etc., In parallel, there has also been a widespread increase in ways to illegally hack data available over the internet and tamper the services offered to the customer. Common attacks include spoofing, Phishing, fraudulent extraction of transaction information and customer details. There have been attacks to cause traffic congestion over the network by introducing artificial infection packets over the internet. Hence, there is a great necessity in research for defence mechanism against these attacks to ensure smooth and safe provision of services to customers. This paper investigates and elaborates the different types of attacks that may be incident on a system or a network, their features and attack mechanisms which provide useful insights into developing an attack resistant system. Almost all types of attacks have been discussed systematically in this research paper with special emphasis on distributed denial of service attacks.</text>

The majority of the sites are concentrated in the middle and lower reaches of the river Ghataprabha and the assemblage is comprised of scrapers of various types, points, borers and scraper cum borer and borer cum points. The studies conducted at the site Kovalli which lies in the lower reaches of Ghataprabha suggest that the Kovalli assemblage can be categorized as mixture of Middle Palaeolithic and late Middle Palaeolithic.
