<text>It is no doubt that information technology has played significant importance in higher education in particular in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution. The progress in technology is expected to support and facilitate the teaching and learning process. One information technology product that can be used is a learning management system (LMS) such as Schoology. Schoology offers all the tools in classroom management which are needed to create interesting content, support learning activities, and assess student understanding. However, the platform itself being used in a chemistry classroom is still rarely found. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to investigate chemistry classroom management using LMS Schoology. A quantitative-descriptive analysis was used to analyze data. Registered inorganic chemistry undergraduate students (n = 52) of semester IV participated in this study. The data was collected using a 28-items questionnaire which accumulated the perception of students regarding chemical class management using Schoology. The results of the study showed positive responses toward that management of teaching materials, management discussions, assignments, quizzes/exams, management of communication and ultimately interaction using LMS Schoology aced the chemistry classroom management.</text>

<text>Depression has been found to be one of the main health concerns, especially in the case of women. A recent study by WHO found that depression will be the second important component in Global Burden of Disease (GBD) by the year 2020 in the case of women. Keeping this in view, the present study was corned out to see the depression levels and differences between women with pre and post menopause stages. The sample consists of 150 tribal women (84 in pre menopause stage and 66 in post menopause stage), with an age ranging from 30-60 years, taken from the Visakhapatnam agency area Andhra Pradesh. A vernacular translation (into Telugu) of Beck's Depression Inventory (1978) was administered to the sample. The results indicate that 23% of the tribal women were in 'Borderline Depression' or in 'Severe Depression' that needs clinical assistance. Significant difference was found between the pre and the post menopause stage groups with post menopause group being in borderline clinical depression. Results were also analyzed in terms of family type, period of menopause, husband type, body weight, health problems, hobbies and socio economic status.</text>

<text>A study conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation in the United States during the turn of the millennium showed that children in America spent almost five hours watching television and two hours in front of the computer. As recently as June 2010, the World Summit on Media for Children and Youth held in Karlstad, Sweden held sway on the topic- ‘Towards the new global vision for children, youth and media’. Alberto Pellai, the Summit keynote speaker (representing the department of Public Health at the University Degli Studi Di Milano, Italy) touched upon the need for media education emphasizing on media content that had to educate and help in the growth and development of children rather than mislead the beliefs and value system of children. Statistics reveal new media as being a strong contender for top spot of favoured past time among children. It no longer surprises people that the time spent by children on new media usage has tripled in the last ten years in the US (Kaiser Family Foundation report). Children in urban India from all accounts are no different from their American counterparts. This trend needs to be pondered, debated and questioned. The researcher would like to explore the different issues related to children and new media usage from an urban perspective since new media is more accessible to urban Indians for obvious reasons- finance, socio-cultural readiness towards new, innovative medium of communication (new media) and educational background. Through interactive sessions with school students, parents and teachers the researcher would like to find out- why children use new media, the content used by children, parent perception of new media usage by their children, teacher’s view on new media usage by students. According to Bagman, a popular blogger, there are two kinds of people, “Whenever there is a question of a new medium, there are those who are excited because of it and those who are wary of it.” The researcher too, through this paper, would like to know which way people in urban India are inclined. </text>

<text>There is truth in the popular saying ‘It takes a village to raise a child’. In the present context of a globalised world- with increasing divides between people- a new saying has emerged –‘ It takes the concerted efforts of a company/companies to raise a village’. For many years Public Relations remained self gratifying, leaving little or nothing for society. The sixties saw the field of Public Relations being questioned at different junctures- its efficacy, philosophy and its very existence. The eighties saw a turn-around with Public Relations professionals taking it upon themselves to cleanse the system, to bring in some legitimacy and professionalism.Jamshedji Tata, the leader among social responsibility theorists in India said, ‘Wealth that comes from people as far as possible must go back to the people’. Most Public Relations professionals are of the opinion that a company that abuses its workforce or conducts business detrimental to society will not enjoy sustained success. In an era of globalization, multinational corporations (those that conduct business in more than one country) and local businesses are no longer able to conduct destructive and unethical practices, such as polluting the environment, without attracting negative feedback from the general public. With increased media attention, pressure from non-governmental organizations, and rapid sharing of global information, there is an increasing demand from civil society,</text>

The components of the research goal aim (1) to develop the students’ achievement prediction model and (2) to construct a prototype application for the predictions of the tertiary students dropping out. The research tools consisted of three parts, (1) tool for developing predictive prototypes uses a tool called the CRISP-DM process with Decision Tree Classification, Feature Selection methods, Confusion Matrix performance, Cross-Validation methods, Accuracy, Precision and Recall measurements, (2) tool for application development used the SDLC with V-method, and (3) tool to assess application satisfaction used questionnaires and statistical analysis. Data sample were collected from 401 students enrolled in the Business Computer Program at the School of Information and Communication Technology, University of Phayao during the academic year 2012-2016. The results showed that the prediction model had a very high percentage of accuracy (82.29%). The prototype test results with the data gathered had a very high score level (84.04%; correct 337 out of 401 training examples). An overview of the underlying application with the utmost integrity by the researchers planned to put the application to the test in the first semester of the academic year 2021 at the School of Information Technology and Communication, University of Phayao. For future research, the researchers plan to create a mobile application for mentors in the University of Phayao to monitor learner on both Android and iOS systems.</text>

<text>This research presents a chatbot application to provide educational information for university students. There are three objectives: 1) to study the problem of providing information to university students with chatbots, 2) to develop a model and construct a chatbot to predict the interest of university students, and 3) to assess the satisfaction of the information provided by the chatbot application. The research datasets were the conversations from the Messenger Facebook Page of the Faculty of Information Technology, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University, during the academic year 2020-2021. In total, there were 1,094 transactions used in this research work. Furthermore, data mining and machine learning techniques, including CRISP-DM, Naïve Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbors, and Neural Network, were used as the research tools. The cross-validation and confusion matrix techniques were used to test the model performance. Moreover, a questionnaire was the application satisfaction assessment tool for 30 respondents. As a result, it showed that the developed model provided high-level results, which are 88.73% accuracy and an average of 3.97 for application satisfaction. In the future, the researchers plan to apply the results for the next academic year and expand into other academic programs.</text>

<text>An experimental study has been carried out to assess the sloshing pressure expected on the side walls of the tank and on top panel. A liquid fill level with an aspect ratio (hs /l, where hs is the static liquid depth and l is the tank length) of 0.488 is considered which corresponds to 75% liquid fill level. In view of suppressing sloshing oscillation and consequent sloshing pressure, the baffle wall configurations such as porous wall at l/2 and porous walls at l/3 and 2l/3 were adopted. Three porosities of 15%, 20.2%, and 25.2% were considered. The sloshing tank is fitted into the freely floating barge of model scale 1:43. The barge is kept inside the wave flume in the beam sea conditions. The effects of wave excitation frequencies and on the sloshing pressure variation have been studied in detail. For comparison purpose, solid wall placed at l/2 (Nasar and Sannasiraj, 2018) is also considered and, the salient results are herein reported.</text>

<text>Future generations of wireless networks are expected to heavily rely on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). UAV networks have extraordinary features like high mobility, frequent topology change, tolerance to link failure, and extending the coverage area by adding external UAVs. UAV network provides several advantages for civilian, commercial, search and rescue applications. A realistic mobility model must be used to assess the dependability and effectiveness of UAV protocols and algorithms. In this research paper, the performance of the Gauss Markov (GM) and Random Waypoint (RWP) mobility models in multi-UAV networks for a search and rescue scenario is analyzed and evaluated. Additionally, the two mobility models GM and RWP are described in depth, together with the movement patterns they are related with. Furthermore, two-simulation scenarios conduct with help of an NS-3 simulator. The first scenario investigates the effect of UAV Speed by varying it from 10 to 50 m/s. the second scenario investigates the effect of the size of the transmitting packet by varying it from 64 to 1024 bytes. The performance of GM and RWP was compared based on packet delivery ratio (PDR), goodput, and latency metrics. Results indicate that the GM model provides the highest PDR and lowest latency in such high mobility environments.</text>

<text>A numerical study has been performed to explore the mixed magnetoconvective flow and heat transfer characteristics of fluid contained in a lid-driven cavity having a sinusoidal wavy vertical surface. A heat conducting square body is located at the centre of cavity. The cavity horizontal walls are perfectly insulated while the corrugated right vertical surface is maintained at a uniform temperature higher than the left lid. The flow is assumed to be two-dimensional and Joule heating effect is considered. Calculations are carried out through solving governing equations for different parameters by using Galarkin’s weighted residual finite element method. The flow pattern and the heat transfer characteristics inside the cavity are presented in the form of streamlines, isotherms, average temperature of the fluid and temperature of solid body centre for various values of Prandtl number Pr, Richardson number Ri and magnetic parameter Ha. The heat transfer rate is detected maximum for the highest Pr and absence of magnetic field.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jname.v8i1.6793</text>

<text>The development of centered heat conducting obstacle effect on combined magnetoconvective flow in a lid driven chamber has been numerically studied. The enclosure considered has rectangular horizontal lower surfaces and vertical side surfaces. The lower and upper surfaces are insulated. The left wall is mechanically lid driven having uniform temperature Ti and velocity v0 while other vertical side is wavy and maintains higher temperature Th than the lid. The governing two-dimensional flow equations have been solved by using Galerkin weighted residual finite element technique. The investigations are conducted for different values of Richardson number (Ri) and physical parameter i.e. diameter (D) of square solid body. Various characteristics such as streamlines, isotherms and heat transfer rate in terms of the mean Nusselt number (Nu), the average temperature (?av) of the fluid and temperature of obstacle center (?c) are presented. The results indicate that the mentioned parameters strongly affect the flow phenomenon and temperature field inside the chamber. Conducting largest obstacle is preferable for effective heat transfer mechanism in presence of magnetic field. Keywords: Combined convection, MHD, wavy chamber, heat conducting obstacle, finite element simulation.doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jname.v8i2.7392 Journal of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering 8(2011) 93-104</text>
