<text>The global Covid-19 lockdown had shifted traditional learning in universities toward the full implementation of eLearning. This new way of learning had overcome many challenges and showed many potentials as well. During Covid-19; Information Technology students in Hashemite University had experienced learning programming languages labs using different platforms. Six labs are available: Introduction to C++, Object oriented programming 1, Object oriented programming 2, Visual basic programming, Web programming and introduction to Database. In this paper, the transition of learning programming labs is highlighted based upon students’ perception. New teaching methodology is proposed and applied for teaching programming labs courses completely remotely, the proposed methodology has been assessed out of web structured survey and direct assessment of students. The results showed that the suggested teaching model for teaching online programming labs successes preliminary in creating online practical programming environment similar to that available during face-to-face teaching at university, however the methodology must be revised to modify the adopted online programming evaluation system to become more reliable and fair.</text>

This article attempts to trace the different areas of concern for all the stakeholders involved in the management of this sub-regional maritime security challenge. Maritime cooperation and security would ensure secure and safe seas which in turn would allow resurgence of our economies in a mutually beneficial manner. The sub-regional grouping with Maldives and Sri Lanka has to transcend beyond the South Asia sphere, encompassing Seychelles and Mauritius and would be a ‘Bottom Up Approach’ to shaping the maritime strategic environment in the Indian ocean.</text>

<text>This article is focused on substance abuse prevention from the perspective of India. Research participants were 112 substance addiction treatment professionals associated with government approved addiction treatment centres in India. They were called from 26 Indian states and 4 union territories in India. Data were collected through a survey instrument using a mixed-methods research design with a focus on concurrent strategies. Participants provided practical recommendations for creating public awareness systemically, concurrently and consistently through a prevention agenda focusing on important social sectors such as schools, employment settings, religious/spiritual settings, and at local, state and national domains of India. This study concludes that creating massive awareness campaigns simultaneously and consistently over long periods of time in all these sectors of the society will facilitate systemic change at the macro-level. Findings have practical implications for policymakers everywhere working towards preventing substance abuse.</text>

<text>Learning management systems (LMS) and their associatedtools have created value for higher education institutions worldwideby improving content deliverability, accessibility, and retrievability.Nevertheless, many studies have criticised these systems for theirteacher-centred approaches, which limit opportunities for social and informallearning. After several decades of institutions using LMS, this researchaims to discuss the success and failure aspects of these LMS fromvarious perspectives, including structure, content, and support for emergingtechnologies. Based on a thematic literature review and analysis, successand failure aspects are organised and verified by LMS experts.Alongside the aspects identified from the literature, these experts alsonoted several additional aspects of success and failure in LMS. The analysisresults overall indicated the success aspects of LMS relate to sevenkey factors: single sign-on, learning management, content management, integration, security, tracking, and group management. Similarly, thefailure aspects could be classified into eight factors: content creation andsharing, communicative features, structure, learning engagement, assessment, user interfaces, social and informal learning, and mobile features. The implications of the research for education institutions, instructors, developers, and system providers, as well as the resulting directions forfuture research, are thus also discussed to help increasing the chances ofdeveloping additional theoretical and practical insights.</text>

<text>Videos have emerged as a dominant medium for educational purposes in many Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platforms. Online learning videos are visual components of the online learning platforms. They are particularly interesting for students who are visual learners and who learn best by watching the short format engaging videos rather than by just reading or listening to course materials. The paper focuses on the categorization of factors that are responsible for the success/popularity of online learning videos. The research is based on the literature review and video observations of the MOOC platforms, in particular of the Khan Academy and Coursera. In this paper, we propose a tabular and a spider graph as a condensed overview of categories that should commonly be utilized by the online learning video production to make them successful.</text>

<text>Since the coming into power of President Xi Jinping in China in 2012, an important objective of Beijing’s foreign policy has been to modify the international order to correspond with China’s rising power and to fulfill the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation and becoming a superpower. As a superpower, China is expected to bear the responsibilities of providing public goods, maintaining stability, and upholding the norms and values that are respected by other states. This paper examines the Chinese attempt to merge as a key player in international affairs and use two case studies of China’s policy towards the South China Sea and its international responses to the Covid-19 pandemic to argue that Beijing has, to some extent, fallen short of the duties of a superpower.</text>

<text>The potential of mobile phones to facilitate students’ science learning, when they are engaging in group activities, was investigated. To minimize the disciplinary issues emerged from the previous research on mobile devices and to enhance the quality of learning, a set of mobile phones that are connected to a private network was used. The lesson planning and implementation through these mobile phones were facilitated by a web based Application. A purposively selected group of teachers developed three lessons while integrating mobile phones in a private network into learning activities. Then the lessons were implemented in real classroom settings. This paper is based on one of the lessons ‘Waves and their Characteristics’ that was implemented for Grade 11 students. The data were collected through observations using audio, video and field notes and were analyzed using thematic analysis technique with the help of NVivo10 qualitative data analysis software. Based on the thematic analysis, two assertions were derived. Notably teachers appreciated the support of the private network in enhancing the quality of group learning activity while minimizing the students’ misuse of mobile phones.</text>

Teacherfiera.com utilizes three online platforms which are BlogSpot, Facebook Group and Telegram Group that works in parallel with each other. Each platform is readily available to be used for free by the public and provides contextualized personal as well as group interactions. These platforms which have been integrated into Teacherfiera.com also work as a bank for English Language Teaching materials which are accessible 24/7 and allows users to respond to specific materials or engage in a general topic of discussion. The creation of Teacherfiera.com started as a response towards the need for teachers’ support in the dissemination and implementation of the new CEFR-aligned English Language Curriculum.</text>

<text>The aim of this research is to determine the supporting factors for the implementation of mobile learning for elementary school students in Indonesia using an authentic approach and real-world activities. This is significant because various approaches to mobile learning have been used in elementary institutions. However, this educational model is not ideal because the data shows that 92% of students have learning difficulties, and 38% state they do not receive teachers’ guidance. The method used was descriptive quantitative with the population of elementary school students and a purposively selected sample of 26 of those pupils. Samples were taken based on the characteristics of the coastal area and city center. To assess their entry behavior, questionnaires and test sheets were used. Moreover, data was gathered through home visits and the Whatsapp application. It was then processed using the percentage technique and the SmartPLS application, to obtain accurate results. In addition, a qualitative approach was used to develop the analysis.According to the results, the supporting factors for the implementation of mobile learning using an authentic approach and real-world activities are as follows: 1) students already have the concrete and logical thinking skills, 2) the entry behavior of students are still low, and 3) visual and auditory learning styles affect meaningful learning. Furthermore, research suggests that teachers and learning designers should create mobile learning exercises which support authentic learning and real-world pursuits. </text>

<text>New technology, such as mobile phones and smart devices, has sparked the creation of new methods of learning. They are integrated into modern e-learning systems due to their rising popularity. E-learning and mobile learning provide students with more options for learning without any limitations. Today, many students are adapted to these new technologies as long as they have inherited a naturally tech-savy mindset. We use survey data to explore students and teachers’ interest in e-learning and mobile learning. This survey will help us discover the real value of these subjects in Moroccan higher education. Once we have collected our survey responses, we will be able to determine whether our study has had an impact on the students and teachers par- ticipation in these new forms of learning. At the end of the topic, all the answers and the statistics (quantitative and qualitative) that we have collected from our students and teachers’ opinions about this study will be shown, analyzed, and discussed.</text>
