<text>Education field has seen numerous revolutions and innovations that have altered the teaching and learning process through the emergence of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) which provides numerous benefits to both educators and students. However, there is concern that students focus in the classroom becomes less due to the lack of pleasurable during the teaching and learning sessions. Thus, the existence of learning using Augmented Reality (AR) applications seems to help students improve their thinking skills in terms of cognitive as well as behaviourism. Therefore, this study proposed the Design and Development of Augmented Reality (AR) Application for Internet Evolution Learning Topics known as AREvo. The methodology used in this study was based on a design and development research (DDR) and ADDIE Model were used for designed and developed AREvo. Several platforms and software were used to develop AREvo. Several experts in Creative Multimedia field from higher education were appointed to evaluate the AREvo in terms of its functionality, content design, interaction design and presentation. The data analyze and obtained is in the form of frequency and feedback. Result revealed that AREvo application can be used as an additional material for instructors as well as students who are taking basic ICT course. In addition, AREvo is expected to provide a positive impact in terms of functionality and usability of this AR application in the present and also in the future.</text>

<text>This paper discusses and presents a new prototype design for a smartwatch user interface. The user interface was designed aiming to adhere to some of the main universal design principles and be a more usable design. The prototype user interface was then compared with a Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch user interface. The comparison was done via an experiment and a series of realistic tasks. The aspects being investigated were task times, errors and subjective user satisfaction. The data collected were statistically analysed. The overall results showed that the prototype user interface fostered faster task times, fewer errors and more user satisfaction.</text>

<text>The traditional learning process used in schools is outdated. Students nowadays spend most of their time using technologies for entertainment and to communicate with their friends. Technology can also be used to present opportunities in teaching difficult subjects, such as mathematics, in a better environment. This project aims to improve the mathematical skills of addition and subtraction in young children aged 6 to 8 by combining education and entertainment in a simple math learning game. Using ideas from Jerome Bruner’s theory, and Bloom’s Taxonomy of cognitive goals, this application will help children learn and interact effectively with the world around them. This project presents the design and development of a game-based learning application that improves the mathematical skills of young children. Specifically, our target-users for this application are primary school students who are learning addition and subtraction. This paper provides discussion and guidance on how to evaluate the impact of Mathematics Game-Base Learning Application. The overall results of the experimental study indicate a positive effect of Mathematics Game-Base Learning Application on the learning process.</text>

<text>On its foundation in 1949, securing its strategic periphery and annexation of Tibet and Xinjiang was one of the primary goals of thePeople’s Republic of China (PRC). With the multiple aims of achieving economic, strategic, and political dominance, China has furtherenhanced its connectivity with Asia, Africa, and Eurasia by its Belt and Road initiative (BRI). Considering the rapidly changing geopolitics and economic challenges, the Chinese, as part of their long-term designs, have whipped up ‘nationalism’ by multiple means. The military interventions, assertiveness, and expansionism have been based on a design to serve its national interests—especially the economic, political, and strategic ones. The boundary dispute between India and China continues to remain unresolved, due to certain designs of the PRC. It is important to analyse the strategic significance of Eastern Ladakh, especially when additional security personnel has been inducted into the Gilgit Baltistan region by China as part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).Despite the border management mechanisms and confidence-building measures (CBMs) in place and the periodic engagements at different levels, the PLA surprised the Indians by contacting and/or transgressing across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on a wide front in Eastern Ladakh in May 2020. Thus, China’s designs call for India to improve its preparedness, and review its policy, pursue its goals and maintain peace and stability in the region.</text>

<text>Vocational education graduates should have expertise competencies according to their fields so that it is easy to fill the job market, but this condition is not in line with expectations. BPS data as of February 2020 still shows the open unemployment rate, which is dominated by SMK graduates, at 8.49%, meaning that it is the highest-ranking contributor to open unemployment. One indication of this high percentage is the lack of work skills for vocational school graduates in the world of work. This lack of work competence is indicated because the learning process is not integrated with the real world of work. Therefore, improvement steps are sought through a learning process that integrates school learning with the real world of work by developing media that support learning activities with the real world of work. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to design an Android-based interactive lean manufacturing application to improve the work skills of vocational students. This study uses the 4D development method (four-Ds) for the development of android-based interactive lean manufacturing applications and uses a survey method for validity and this AR application will be validated by 3 experts. The results of this study indicate that the validation test of android-based interactive lean manufacturing applications is included in the valid category. So, it can be concluded that the Android-based interactive lean manufacturing application technology has been valid to be used in the learning process.</text>

<text>Public bus transportation has become an integral part of society, but the disrup-tion of bus services is one of the major concerns. This project presents the devel-opment of Smart Bus Transportation using Augmented Reality (TRANSPAR) that was developed on a mobile application. One of the major issues with public transportation is on real-time responsiveness. Most bus schedules are presented online but customers still faced many failures. Some bus schedules are not updat-ed when changes happened through time. Some existing bus schedules system is fixed to the bus stations. This research is to identify the bus schedules and its routes characteristics. A 3D AR animation based on identified characteristics was designed using the Unity 3D image marker detection on a mobile Android plat-form. A smartphone application was developed using Vuforia and Google Fire-base. TRANSPAR shows an AR mobile application for acquiring the bus time-tables. The phone camera is applied for marker image detection and scanning the bus station’s images. AR and normal image scanner were designed. Google Fire-base Database is used to retrieve and store each timetable data for every bus sta-tion. Analysis of interactivity and benefits of TRANSPAR shows about 90% agreed on the use of AR and more than 76% agreed on its functionality based on 50 taken samples. This shows a positive impact on the designed TRANSPAR. The research is significant to encourage and experience the public with new tech-nological application for public transportation and it impact the society.</text>

<text>Augmented reality is a ground-breaking technology that allows users to communicate with an enticing real-world experience to receive messages or knowledge. Today, mask inspection is essential to relay information to society through an augmented reality where extensive information about masks is required and identifying them is challenging. Furthermore, with augmented reality, society may have access to the fascinating way of getting information on the masks, assisting in spreading knowledge, particularly during this pandemic. The augmented reality on a visual inspection mask (ARVIM) was created utilizing 3D images on an Android smartphone platform. The models were created using Blender Animation and Unity 3D software. Vuforia Engine and Android Studio applications were used to build a personalized mobile Augmented Reality application. Google Cloud was used to store data that are accessible to users. ARVIM has facilitated teaching and interaction with 3D AR effects enjoyable for users. The analysis results on the use of ARVIM revealed that ARVIM obtained a high easiness rating of 80%. While 83% of respondents say ARVIM can help distinguish between different types of masks, 88% of respondents agreed that ARVIM's design is acceptable and approachable. This initiative enhances society's education in interactive and mixed-reality innovation settings through a long-distance and innovative teaching method that gives a comprehensive Google Platform experience.</text>

<text>Through this article, we try to propose the design of notification system that runs on the Android operating system. This notification will be used for the academic announcement in the campus environment. The current announcement system only depends on the web portal, phones, groups in social media or short message system. The use of web portals and phones still has many limitations. Our proposed notification system can meet the needs of academic announcement broadcast quickly and massively. In the end, this will cut the cost that stakeholders need to operate the academic announcement system in the campus environment. The design of smart notification system that we proposed in the future will be integrated with the academic information system.</text>

<text>Although mobile phone application developers aim to design software to be user-friendly, elderly users report having problems with flexible user interfaces. The purpose of this study was to examine a range of flexible user interface designs for mobile phones with the aim of locating and addressing the limitations reported by elderly users. Accordingly, a fuzzy model drawing on a range of variables was developed from an age/vision impaired related data set for the development of a variety of basic design elements for user interfaces. The model was tested to assess the preciseness and accuracy of its functions, achieving a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) close to 0 and an Effectiveness Index (EI) close to 1, giving the model a high value for effectiveness. A subsequent usability test of the generated design interfaces using four types of mobile phones (18 screens in all) was conducted among 25 elderly users with vision impairment. The findings showed that the size and shape of both numeric and function buttons was a significant factor in assessing phone usability both for communication and for social media use, as was text and number size, although, significantly, the latter was qualified by screen size. Recommended numeric and dial function button sizes are 15.6mm and 16.2 mm, respectively. Likewise, recommended text and numbers sizes are 14 and 25 points, respectively. Furthermore, square-shaped buttons with rounded-edge buttons are the most suitable for elderly users, as is a background in a light shade, with texts and icons in dark colors. The model demonstrates that it is possible to design user interfaces with particular groups in mind such as the elderly and vision-impaired, in order to enhance mobile phone usability for these groups.</text>

<text>Indonesia is an archipelago country with a variety of local languages; one of which is Balinese (mother tongue), used by the Balinese people in daily life and in certain ritual ceremonies. In Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, Department of Balinese Language Education, students have been given Anggah-Ungguhing in speaking subjects where they are taught to understand the use of Balinese language based on social strata. But in the process of learning the Anggah-Ungguhing, there are some problems, including: 1) There is no media that supports learning of Anggah-Ungguhing vocabulary. 2) The motivation of students when learning Anggah-Ungguhing by using books is low. Based upon the analysis on the problems and previous researches, this study aims to: 1) Development of mobile dictionary to support the learning process Angggah - Ungguhing anywhere and anytime. 2) Measuring the level of student’s motivation are using mobile dictionary while learning vocabulary Anggah - Ungguhing. The method used in this research is Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with Waterfall based model. Based on the results of tests that have been done, mobile dictionaries can be declared successfully developed based on user needs. In this research has distributed about 60 questionnaires to measure the level of student’s motivation who use mobile dictionaries on learning Anggah - Ungguhing Balinese language. The result of the student’s motivation measurement shows that the motivation of the students that the learns Anggah - Ungguhing Balinese languange using mobile dictionary is in the positive category.</text>
