<text>Gender Disparity is a universal phenomenon. The effect is more evident in an organisational setup. Two common forms of gender disparity are sticky floor effect and glass ceiling effect. Glass ceiling effect refers to the barriers that prevent women from progressing to the higher positions in the organisations. It can lead to differences in pay and may prevent women from climbing up the career ladder. The barriers may be psychological, social or organisational. The paper discusses the presence of glass ceiling across different cultures and its implications.</text>

<text>Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are collection of wireless mobile devices with restricted broadcast range and resources. Communication is achieved by relaying data along appropriate routes that are dynamically discovered and maintained through collaboration between the nodes. Discovery of such routes is a major task, both from efficiency and security point of view. This paper presents a proficient and secure routing, based on asymmetric authentication using key exchange approach (KEA). The proposed mechanism ensures secure routing and quality of service in MANETs and minimizes the network overhead. The KEA mechanism can be effectively used to develop a new routing protocol for Mobile Adhoc Networks which will provide maximum security against all kinds of attacks. In this paper, KEA is compared with other secure routing protocols like EEACK, AODV, and ARIADANE, to evaluate the efficiency of KEA in Ad Hoc Networks. The empirical results shows that there is an increase of 20% packet delivery ratio and a reduction of 10% routing overhead.</text>

<text> Identifying trusted nodes for safe communication is a key challenge in mobile ad-hoc networks. Node compromises a service and leads to uncertainty in node behaviour. Computing the node trust and node management will enhance the security aspect in MANETs. This paper proposes a security improvisation based on a Node Trust Prediction Approach (NTPA).  NTPA aims to prevent the interference of an  anomalous node in a MANET. There by  improving the security and data delivery output. The NTPA calculates the node trust prediction by evaluating the four most frequent actions that are performed by a node in the communication process. Node authorization is a key aspect in the evaluation of an ad hoc network’s security. In the proposed method, we monitor the valid and Invalid Authorization of a node. Data delivery reliability is measured with Success of Packet delivery and Loss or Drop of packets. In this paper, NTPA is compared with SAR(Security-Aware Routing) and AODV (Adhoc on-Demand Distance Vector), to evaluate the efficiency in an adhoc networks. The empirical results shows that there is an increase of 25% packet delivery and  a 40% reduction in  routing overhead.  </text>

<text>The establishment of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has sparked many debates and controversies in the last five years since it was announced back in 2013. Amongst studies trying to explain the reason for the establishment of the AIIB, most of them are based on the analysis of Sino-U.S. relations especially on how they overlooked China as a replacement for global hegemon to the U.S.However, considering China’s foreign policy in the recent decade, the establishment of the AIIB is considered as a typical step to becoming a leader in regionalism of East Asia. This writing concludes that China is still only aiming to become regional leader in the scale of East Asia. Keywords: East Asia, Regionalism, Leadership, China, AIIB</text>

Many since then believes that the establishment of the AIIB is part of PRC’s bigger plan that is the Belt and Road Initiatives (BRI). The significance of Turkey strategic position for the implementation of BRI, it is very crucial for PRC to maintain a steady flow of cooperation with Turkey.  Out of 93 members that has joined as a part of AIIB, Turkey stands as the second largest loan receiver by the end of 2018. This article argues that PRC has been using AIIB as part as their BRI plan through its multilayered-multilateralism strategy to Turkey. <text>The corrosion resistance (weight loss) and mechanical properties (i.e. yield strength, ultimate strength and elongation) for three carbon steels, normal strength and high strength steels using tension test are investigated. The specimens are kept in chloride solution (20% NaCl) up to 240 hours. At every 48 hours, thickness and weight loss is measured and tension test is carried out. It was found that the susceptibility of the steels to corrosion based on their weight loss were identical prior to 144 hours, after that is accelerated for high strength steel. In addition, it was found that manganese (Mn) has reduced corrosion rate at early stage of corrosion. The change in mechanical properties by corrosion for all steels are the same, and ultimate strength is reduced, which for limit state design of aged structure should be taken into account.DOI: 10.3329/jname.v7i2.5309</text>

<text>Sustainability of renewable natural resources, in general, and common pool natural resources (e.g., land, Water and Forests) in particular has now become a major concern to natural resources policy makers, planners, scholars and managers in both developed and developing countries of the world. The term "Sustainability" implies the ability of a natural resources system to produce socially optimum level of output which is necessary to meet in perpetuity the needs and aspirations of the people dependent on the system, with no detrimental effects on the resources system itself and the physical environment, and with no imposition of significantly greater risks on future generations. In other words, sustainabilify implies not only conserving natural products which are maintaining ecological functions and supply of natural resources products essential to the livelihoods of local people. Although the CPRs include such diverse things as common pastures or grazing lands, community forests, community fish ponds, lakes, rivers, streams, ground water basins, air sheds, etc., they all face one common problem and that is: how to co-ordinate the whole community. The occurrence to "the tragedy of the commons" implies loss of sustainability, which translates to loss of welfare on part of those who depend on the CPRs in question for their livelihood. Both developed and developing countries of the world are best with "the tragedy of the commons" and are in search of practicable strategies to resolve the problem. In this paper, drawing upon India's experience, an attempt is made to show how the watershed management approach could attain sustainability of the renewable natural resources of land, water and forest in general and CPRs in particular.</text>

<text>The laboratory is a research powerhouse being a transportation membrane to propagate new and proven knowledge. This paper aims to descriptively disseminate the concept of horizontal integration from research in tropical functional food resources to teaching excellence framework with an emphasize on IoT Technology. The five-stage framework includes (1) vision internalization, (2) persistence propagation, (3) new technology adaptation, (4) extending collaboration, and (5) outcome integration. The vision internalization stage produces a better understanding of the big picture and systematic approach required, including the division of experiments to research attendance. The experience is then brought to Research Methodology and Research Design classes. In the second stage, persistence propagation may be better translated to relentlessly solving the problem and to increase the laboratory power. The persistence propagation also includes providing fail-safe and verification procedures of possibly dubious results produced in the laboratory. In the end, it may improve operating procedures or methods in a laboratory manual. The movement of open hardware makes it possible for faster technology adaptation to food-laboratory. For example, measuring functional food material drying kinetics is now quickly adopted as a result of recent IoT technology. In a later stage, IoT is integrated into the closest courses, i.e., Introduction to Computer or Programming in Food Technology. The research may reach a milestone that requires expansion and sophisticated equipment beyond the capacity of the laboratory. Therefore, collaboration is needed between laboratories within the university or greater. Students are prepared to conduct functional food research in partner laboratories; hence, the requisite bench skills are better taught. The last stage happens when new and related knowledge is accumulated, i.e., umbrella research in functional food produces several publications and theses. Researchers may visit and align the current curriculum in the subject of Functional Food Technology. In summary, the horizontal integration with an emphasize on IoT Technology results in a unique set of research-teaching excellence framework that is incrementally developed.</text>
