<text>Technology plays a pivotal role in today’s teaching and learning process in terms of facilitating learning and improving students’ performance. Exploring an avant-garde technology to be integrated into the classroom is critical for finding new ways of learning. This study aimed at investigating university students’ usage, perception, attitude, and readiness towards the WhatsApp group as a teaching and learning platform. This is an exploratory study engaged in one class of university students after joining a course conducting by integrating a WhatsApp group for teaching and learning platform. The result revealed that students actively use WhatsApp in daily life, but unfortunately passively use it for learning in a group. Students recognise that the WhatsApp group is of potential for ubiquitous learning, and they have a good attitude to this app as a teaching and learning platform. However, it found that students are not ready yet to learn actively, collaboratively, and independently through the WhatsApp group. The academic and practical implications of these findings are discussed, and avenues for future research outlined.</text>

<text>This paper discusses the development of institutions within international political economy over the course of the last 70 years. From World War II to the present, states have constructed regimes to manage some-but not all-aspects of the international economy. A once-strong regime to manage trade has weakened since the 1990s. Likewise, with the abandonment of dollar-gold convertibility in 1973, a robust regime to manage monetary relations collapsed. Conversely, states originally left finance unregulated but in 1988 created and progressively have strengthened rules to manage international banking. In production, the proposed Multilateral Agreement on Investment collapsed in 1998 without ever securing necessary multilateral support. Despite the variations, those institutions are the manifestation of the idea of embedded liberalism, a compromise between the need of developing a self-regulated market and providing economic security for the communities. Arguably, the development and variations in institutions are by and large shaped by the changes in international power structure and social purposes of the institutions. Furthermore, this paper also wants to address the prospect of embedded liberalism especially in the context of recent rise of populism and democratic rejection against free trade as reaction toward the results of globalization. It is too soon to argue about the end of embedded liberalism. This paper is structured into two main parts. The first part is a conceptual framework discussing the nature of institutions and its variations. It is mainly built from the work of John G. Ruggie on international institution. The second part is an empirical analysis of to what extent states are able to renew the promise of embedded liberalism in order to address citizens’ dissatisfaction with globalization and growing sense of political helplessness. This last section is indebted to Amitai Etzioni for developing communitarian solutions to populism.</text>

The proposed method is validated from the experimental results and found is in good agreement with results obtained by experimental. The mathematical model of transient thermal is also recognized to simulate Peak temperature. Finally Parametric effects on temperature profiles based on numerical results, are carried out for different weld parameters including welding speed, heat input, and plate thickness. It has been shown that all those parameters are playing an essential role in affecting the temperature distribution.</text>

<text>Cinema has played a role in caste politics in India. Its role ranges from special arrangement to consume the film to working in films based on caste based demarcated jobs. Films have always been in a constant struggle to eradicate eas well as to maintain the boundaries between the dominant and the dominated. Clothing is one such element which acts to represent the formation of a community’s image in people’s minds. The representation politics with the fabric worn in films becomes the clash between dress codes. These are symbolic conflicts played on the screen between social and cultural norms that possess the potential to alter identity and its structures of reality. This paper will be dealing with the analysis of three films by Pa. Ranjith: Attakathi (Cardboard Knife)(2012), Madras(2014) and Kabali(2016); to understand the representational politics involving the Dalit community with the help of costumes that the characters adorn in the films. Semiotics as an approach has been applied to understand the representation of Dalit identity reflected through clothing practices.</text>

<text>Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders that affect approximately 50 million peopleworldwide, with the prevalence of 1% in the population.Nearly 80% of people with epilepsy are found indeveloping countries, where the disease remains a majorpublic health problem. It is not only because of its healthimplications but also for its social, cultural, psychologicaland economic effects. The person with epilepsy goesthrough many difficulties such as unpredictability of theseizures, adjustmental demands on personal and worklife, family coping, problems in marital relationship, issues surrounding children, economic burden, andstigma about the disease apart from the access totreatment. Managing a chronic illness such as epilepsyinvolves more than managing medical problems. Socialworkers, as change agents, can fulfil their roles aseducators, counsellors, and patient-advocates by helpingpatients and families to gain insight into the implicationsof chronic illness. The present cross sectional study wasconducted among the Master of Social Work (MSW)students specialising in Medical and Psychiatric SocialWork, with an attempt to look at the Knowledge and Attitude about Epilepsy. Thirty one students of Master ofSocial Work course with Medical and Psychiatric SocialWork (males = 9; females = 22; age = 23.61, range 22-28years) from different colleges in South India filled thequestionnaire developed to assess the knowledge andattitudes about Epilepsy. All the respondents had heardabout Epilepsy. The study revealed that while there isgood awareness about Epilepsy among the students, majority of them felt that persons with Epilepsy shouldhave restrictions in movement (84%) and that they havelimitations in employment (58%). The implications of thestudy from knowledge development, research andpractice are discussed.</text>

<text>Since 2000—the dusk of the Milosevic-era—three successive Serbian governments, the Djindjic, Zivkovic and Kostunica administrations, have amassed an inconsistent and oscillating record of (non)compliance with EU and US conditionality for full cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal on the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY). How do we explain this changing pattern of compliance and noncompliance by Serbia? This paper contends that international rules and norms which attempt far-reaching institutional and social change, such as ICTY conditionality in Serbia, will likely elicit a historical process that is multidimensional and diachronic, more politically complex than the parsimony suggested by incentives-based, model-driven theorizing. The paper argues for a more contextual and practice-oriented approach to the study of compliance politics; focusing on how material, normative and temporal dimensions interact historically to form particular compliance processes & outcomes. The empirical section uses inductive process-tracing to make a temporal reconstruction of the process and experience of Serbian (non)compliance with ICTY conditionality during the Kostunica government; focusing on the interaction between three dimensions of compliance politics: (1) strategic calculation; (2) identity & cultural resonance; and (3) temporality.
