<text>This paper empirically analyses the effect of women’s status on human development. We define “status” in terms of economic opportunities, political empowerment, bodily autonomy and freedom of choice. Our study focuses on developing countries where patriarchal norms and gender discrimination play a major role in undermining women’s role in society. We find that, except political empowerment, all other dimensions have a significant impact on development. After examining the reasons behind the relationship between women’s status and human development, our study makes a compelling case for promoting gender-inclusive policy-making in order to attain national and global developmental goals. </text>

In Austria, the strained executive-legislative relationswere already visible in April 2020, when the opposition parties refused tosupport the second wave of crisis legislation without the appraisal processthat would justify its urgency. In Croatia and Slovenia, the governmentsdecided not to declare a state of emergency, arguably in order to avoidcooperation with the opposition and other state institutions in drafting andpassing crisis legislation. Finally, in Slovenia, the government used the crisisas a pretext to install its people into leading positions in several key stateand public institutions.</text>

<text>This study aims to implement e-learning supported by social reality videos in a mobile application and explore its impact on improving student learning outcomes. This study used an experimental design (pretest-posttest control group design), two sample groups were used, they were the experimental and control groups. The experimental group was treated with e-learning supported by social reality videos in a mobile application, while the control group was given face-to-face learning and relied on the expository method. The number of research samples in each of the two groups was 28 students, they were students who took basic natural science courses at the Mandalika Education University. Pre-test and post-test were given with the same task in both groups. This study focuses on measuring student cognitive learning outcomes which are considered as the impact of induced learning in both treatment groups. Each learning outcome data was analyzed descriptively (analysis of average learning outcomes and n-gain), and statistical analysis (testing the hypothesis of differences in student learning outcomes between treatment groups), statistical analysis at a significance level of 0.05. In general, the results of the study shows that e-learning supported by social reality videos in a mobile application has a significant impact on improving student learning outcomes, and is found to be better than the expository method. We recommend its simultaneous use in regular lectures in the classroom.</text>

<text>Along with the development of the internet era which is very fast today, the network security system becomes a very urgent matter and needs attention. The number of criminal activities and cyber attacks that attack servers through the network makes a server administrator need to make extra efforts in maintaining and monitoring data traffic that enters or leaves the server system. One of the efforts often made by server admins is to monitor server activity and then immediately secure the server from attacks that they identify from the monitoring results. data packets. Here an algorithm is built where the output of the Wireshark application is an analysis result that will distinguish the presence of a malicious accessing IP and then notify the server admin to set the firewall and block the IP that is considered dangerous, or analyze the port that is temporarily under attack and then notify the admin to close the port. . From the results of this algorithm research by simulating attacks using Synflood Attack on the server, it can be seen that the level of effectiveness of the algorithm in dealing with attacks can make RAM and CPU lighter so that it does not burden the hardware when compared to without using the algorithm and also makes system network traffic more efficient.</text>

<text>Smartphones enable an always-on connection to Social Network Services (SNS). A typical way of interacting with SNSs is to access them when the user has a suitable situation to check the status of her social networks or to write an update. One way to enhance the usage of SNSs is to have the service automatically push notifications about events to the smartphone user interface. However, there is no research on how users experience such SNS notifications. We present an explorative field study with 11 participants to assess how users experience mobile notifications compared to reading SNS content manually, initiated by the user. The participants first used Facebook for a month without notifications and then for a month with an application called Socially that sends frequent notifications about Facebook events to the userâ??s smartphone desktop. The participants who kept the notification feature on reported increased reading of Facebook. However, after a while, many were unwilling to receive the notifications, mainly because of lack of control. We report the qualitative findings on user experience, which reveal for example, that the use of mobile notifications decreases interest in Facebook. Notifications limit user control, and using Facebook feels more meaningful when accessed manually. Implications for design are discussed.</text>

<text>Humanitarian crisis is one of the critical problems in international relations which threaten the security. Humanitarian crisis could be caused by many factors, either originated by human activities or environmental degradations. It changed the idea that threat could only be state related, but it could also directly be impacting the people. This article argues that in order to manage this problem, there is the need to shift the perspective in seeing security from traditional (state-centric) to non-traditional (people-centred) to build effective policy. It also argues that environmental security is a part of human security, both have close linkage of action and reaction. The case in the Lake Chad Basin shows that there is a threat to human security from the environment, either it is coming from the water crisis in the lake and the impact of climate change.</text>

<text>The continuity and the success of organizations appear increasingly associated with the incorporation of social media. The success depends of the structural and procedural changes that the organization has to make. Today, social media are the new digital marketing tools that help in the processes of communication. Companies need to understand that they are no longer the exclusive owners of the relation of consumers with their products/services; instead, the survival of the organizations depends of the effective utilization of the social media. Creative and innovative solutions are not necessarily too expensive and the internet ends up being one of the best marketing tools available for the organizations. In a more transparent and dynamic world, consumers trust other people to provide advice and recommendations about products and services more and more through social media and it is important to know how and why social media influence organizations. This study analyzes through a literature review the current importance of social media for digital marketing communication and shows a case study on traditional shops that use social media to obtain competitive advantages over shopping centers in Funchal (Madeira, Portugal). To finish, the study proposes a new model of business for successful marketing strategies. Also, the article explains how to manage the changes associated and how collaborators need to get used to working in a wider and more dynamic community.</text>
