Because of political turmoil in several parts of the world, refugee flows are going beyond the capacity of the international system of handle. In South Asia, because of the ongoing conflict between two major nations, India and Pakistan, the issue assumes a serious dimension. We can understand this by studying the following two case studies: the Bangladesh war and the Afghan war. In both cases, the number of refugees was massive and in both cases, America was the principal external actor. But while in the case of Bengali refugees, the host state tried to take advantage of the situation for promoting its foreign policy goals, in the case of Afghan refugees, the host nation tried to use the situation to promote its foreign policy as well as domestic political goals. Although every host state had to face unforeseen consequences, in the long run, it underlines the relevance of the discourse of the refugee-security interface. This disruption has been particularly stressful for the autism population, who need structure and routine to regulate their daily lives. This paper uses case vignettes from an early intervention centre to highlight the challenges faced by children on the autism spectrum. Observations  suggest that the disruptions in routine and therapy services led to increased sleep difficulties, behavioural challenges and also affected language development for these children. As a result of the changes inaugurated by the crisis in English Studies‘ and due to the comfort afforded by the demand for English language, the discipline has been relatively free from internal and external pressures to justify its existence. This is, therefore, a good time to raise the question of disciplinary relevance. On the other hand they are also constrained by traditional gender biases. The authors carried out a study to gauge their knowledge and attitudes towards sexuality as well as the impact of health and life skills education on their thinking. 454 boys and 595 girls of first year PUC in an English medium college in Bangalore were given a questionnaire. There after an interactive one hour session on sexuality was conducted which included the evolutionary basis of male and female reproductive biology, menstruation, masturbation, and gender issues. After the session a post-test was carried out The responses were assessed according to the issue as well as the sex of the respondent. It was concluded that there was a significant difference between the genders on many responses both before and after the session. A large number of students were unsure of the answers in the pre test. However after the session there was a definite increase in correct knowledge. Responses based on traditional values did not reflect similar changes. This study demonstrates that there is a place for sexuality education for adolescents in India. The system is connected to a server for productive team management, and peer to peer communication is utilized for instant exchange of information. An experimental evaluation to study the effect of interference, obstacles, and measured power on received signal strength and accuracy of the proposed iBeacon is also conducted.
