<text>This article sets out to theoretically explain the Caribbean Community's (CARICOM) integrative stalemate. It argues that this needs to be studied in light of a changing regional, geographic, and geostrategic climate. A shift is occurring from 'endogenous regionalism,' which concentrates on the Caribbean's historical past, to 'exogenous regionalism,' which focuses on creating a borderless Caribbean space and promotes Caribbeanization through the Caribbean Single Market (CSM), which came into force in 2006, and the stalemated Caribbean Single Economy (CSE). I argue that new trans-hemispheric relations are emerging and Caribbean regionalism is now both multi-centric -arising from actions in numerous places rather than a single center- and also multi-temporal. In this context, mature regionalism presages effective governance by focusing on deepening regional structures and institutional arrangements. I argue that trans-regionalism is a multidimensional process that moves away from the spill-over effects of trade policy harmonization and streamlines different political, security, economic, and cultural regimes. I conclude by suggesting that 'meta-steering' in the form of 'strategic coordination' or 'first order response' is but one way to perceive the paused regional project.</text>

<text>Presence is one of the inherent aspects of the students. The presence system conducted in kindergarten Nurul Huda Kotapinang still uses a conventional system in the form of absent notes or books. This is considered less efficient because the data written by the teacher on the students still use the Presence book that is vulnerable to damage due to exposure to water and destructive things. Based on the background of the problems faced by teachers in kindergarten Nurul Huda Kotapinang, the authors designed the information system for students. This system is designed using Visual Basic .Net. In contrast, the programming language used is VBsrift and MySQL database. This system is designed and built to facilitate the delivery of information. The primary purpose of this system is to make it easier for teachers to attend to their students. It can be concluded Development Information System Presence can replace the confessional way previously used in kindergarten Nurul Huda Kotapinang into Student Presence Information Systems Based Visual Basic. As a development, this present system was modified in its programming language to produce a platform that is compatible with the Internet of Things Technology.</text>

<text>The Circulation Water Channel (CWC) is an experimental facility available at Indian Maritime University, Visakhapatnam Campus. A study for comparing the flow pattern and velocity in the test section, for different configurations of the CWC, is complex. To study the flow, a physical model of the CWC, with different configurations, should be made, which in overall is a complicated and time-consuming exercise. But this difficulty can be overcome through using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, as in this study, where a CFD analysis is done using ‘STAR-CCM+’ software. A CFD model of the existing CWC [corresponding to the 1:4 scale setup at IMUV], is first made, and its validity is checked, by comparing the results of the CFD analysis, against those results obtained from the experimental analysis.
On successfully validating the results, modifications are suggested for rectifying the disturbance which is present in the test section. The test section is the area in the CWC where experimental activities are carried out. In order to carry out the experiments with a certain degree of accuracy, it is important to have a smooth streamlined flow in the test section. To ensure this, a honeycomb structure is positioned such that the flow enters the test section through the honeycomb, which streamlines the flow.
On successfully rectifying the disturbance, studies are carried out to improve the streamlined flow in the test section, for which, different configurations of honeycomb structure are studied. The optimum honeycomb structure, which produces a smooth flow in the test section of a CWC is found out, by conducting analyses for different shapes - i.e. for shapes ranging from rectangular to hexagonal and circular, against different inlet velocities.
The present paper sums up the findings of our earlier research, ‘CFD as a Tool to Validate and Modify the Flow in the Test Section of a Circulating Water Channel’, and ‘Study of Flow in the Test Section of a Circulating Water Channel by Varying the Honey Comb Cross Section’, which were published in the conference proceedings of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and Indian Maritime University, Visakhapatnam, respectively.</text>

The proposed method is validated from the experimental results and found is in good agreement with results obtained by experimental. The mathematical model of transient thermal is also recognized to simulate Peak temperature. Finally Parametric effects on temperature profiles based on numerical results, are carried out for different weld parameters including welding speed, heat input, and plate thickness. It has been shown that all those parameters are playing an essential role in affecting the temperature distribution.</text>

<text>Welding is an introductory core subject that is taught in every mechanical engineering programs at all polytechnics in Malaysia. Normally students will learn the theoretical concepts of welding in the class followed by instruction based training in the workshop. However, students have difficulty to follow everything that has been taught in the class in a limited time. Welding is dangerous for beginners and the welding environments are harmful and injurious to the health. In this paper, we introduce Mobile Arc Welding Learning (MAWL) app, a new approach for learning arc welding that incorporates mobile technology and enhanced with augmented reality (AR). The aim of this app is to enhance the contents used in arc welding learning materials used in the conventional learning by visualizing the information through the use of text, images, videos and 3D models. The MAWL app covers topics related to safety in welding, components of welding and steps in welding. The students can use the app to learn about welding on their own anytime and anywhere. The potential of using the MAWL app for welding learning among the polytechnic students has been investigated, specifically focusing on ease of use, learnability, satisfaction, usefulness, motivation and engagement. The results of the evaluation indicate that the users strongly agreed on ease of use, learnability, satisfaction, usefulness and motivation, while they agreed on engagement. These prove that the MAWL app has the potential to contribute to students’ welding learning through interactive and accessible information that satisfies them.</text>

The big demand of such systems of distributed knowledge networks is to be able to handle advanced applications which are the end-user requirements. The main goal of this study is to assess the ability of WLAN campus to dealing with applications request of end users in education establishments and network achievement under different conditions of operation. The study has been conducted in two stages: the first stage was accomplished by conducting a survey, using the Student Village network at Anglia Ruskin University as a case study; the main aim was to determine end-use requirements, gather information about the nature applications running by users and get a view about the likely future applications. The second stage was achieved by conducting experiments to evaluate the WLAN campus network performance under various different scenarios: impact of handover from Access Point (AP) to another AP on end-user link performance, network performance in different usage time and network performance in different weather conditions.</text>

<text>The present trend suggests that students are pressurized by the society to select an occupation of their choice that can fetch easy money. That is why there is a heavy rush towards medicine, nursing, para-medical and engineering streams. This often negates the potential of each student and suppresses his or her innate caliber that negatively affects the prospects of the individual and society. The choice of occupation is one of the very important decisions a person makes in life. Psychologically each student has her/his own interests, aptitudes, attitudes, aspirations etc. It is a fact that parents, relatives, teachers, friends, media and society can influence the students in the modification of interests, aptitudes, attitudes, aspirations etc. If a person gets her/his education on their preferred vocation, he/she can get job satisfaction from the vocation and the individual shall be well placed. Aspirations add to the efficiency of the person by bringing out the best in him on the job.</text>

<text>The present study examines the social competence of secondary school students residing in Juvenile homes. Studies report that the residents of Juvenile homes are deficient in social adaptation skills. This could be due to lack of resources and support. Schools within Juvenile homes could provide resources to develop social competence skills beneficial for their personal and social development. The study used surveys to measure the level of social competence of the secondary school students residing in the Juvenile homes of Kerala with the sub-samples based on gender, locality, and type of institution. The study reports significant differences in social competence between boys and girls, urban and rural population, and government, aided, and private residents of Juvenile homes.</text>

<text>LoRaWAN is one of the leading Low power wide area network (LPWAN) LPWAN technologies that compete for the formation of big scale Internet of Things (IoT). It uses LoRa protocol to achieve long range, low bit rate and low power communication. Large scale LoRaWAN based IoT deployments can consist of battery powered sensor nodes. Therefore, the energy consumption and efficiency of these nodes are crucial factors that can influence the lifetime of the network. However, there is no coherent experimental based research which identifies the factors that influence the LoRa energy efficiency at various nodes density. In this paper, results on measuring the packet delivery ratio, packet loss, data rate and energy consumption ratio ECR to gauge the energy efficiency of LoRa devices at various nodes density are presented. It is shown that the ECR of LoRa is inversely proportional to the nodes density and that the ECR of the network is smaller at higher traffic indicating better network energy efficiency. It is also demonstrated that at high node density, spreading factor SF of 7 and 9 can improve the energy efficiency of the network by 5 and 3 times, respectively, compare to SF 11.</text>
