They are flexible and can be applied in many application domains.  In tourism, Chatbots can recommend sights, hotels, activities, or even full travel plans. Usually, users are required to visit plenty of websites and install different Apps into their mobile phones in order to navigate the city and planning for the trip which is inconvenient and time-consuming. To address this issue, this paper proposes “Smart Guidance”, an AI text-based chatbot that is developed as a mobile application. It simulates a chat with users in a natural language, it also provides a two-way interaction and it is a single point of contact for all user communications. We provide a use case in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Jeddah is the second largest city in Saudi Arabia and tourists have various choices when it comes to moving around the city. The final evaluation of the chatbot showed that the bot could understand meanings and users’ requests. Moreover, users found that the interaction is effective, and the responses are provided immediately. Users were satisfied and like the idea that they could express their needs in their natural language. Furthermore, users enjoyed the interaction and felt engaged. The present article analyses the use by the EU of aid suspensions as political tools and their efficacy in achieving the desired policy goals, in an attempt to identify and explain the determinants leading to the success of these measures. The investigation finds that the use of development aid suspensions is frequently effective. Classical sanctions theory appears to account largely for their success, given that most targets display a significant degree of dependence on the EU as a donor or a trading partner. However, and without refuting the explanatory power of that approach, a closer look at this practice unveils a number of factors that contribute to facilitate success. One of them is the selective use of the tool: suspensions are applied predominantly in cases of interruptions of the democratic process, while they are rarely used in situations of violent conflict. These countries have been engulfed in territorial conflicts, regions in the course of Indus have witnessed suffering and fought a politicized dispute over the water of Indus. The article explores different models for understanding the turnover process and makes recommendations with relevance for current and future policy. Besides formal alliances, states are increasingly establishing so-called “strategic partnerships”. This new form of security cooperation is currently under-researched, although governments consider it an important foreign policy tool. We do not yet know whether security interests are the basis of these arrangements or whether strategic partnerships function as substitutes for or complements to formal alliances. This article addresses both issues by analyzing a new dataset on strategic partnerships with the involvement of G20 countries. I find that two or more states are most likely to be tied by partnerships when the presence of a common threat coincides with the absence of their joint membership in a formal alliance. However, states parties to a formal alliance with a lower commitment, such as a consultation, neutrality, or non-aggression pact, are also likely to be tied to each other by partnerships when they face a common threat. Therefore, making comparisons between peace processes is difficult, but it is beneficial – indeed, imperative – and is the principal motivation behind this volume. What works in one context may not work in another, but it can be modified and adapted to fit another context.
