This paper presents a computational method to estimate the ship resistance (viscous & wave) in calm-water. In the optimization process the evolution strategy (ES) technique is linked to the computational method to obtain an optimum hull form by taking into account the displacement as design constraint. For allowing the large variation of hull form during optimization process the hull surface is represented by NURBS. New hull forms are obtained from the well-known S60 hull and the classical Wigley hull taken as initial hulls in the optimization process at Fn=0.316. The optimization variables are a combination of ship hull offsets and main dimensions. Adopting a quantitative approach, the field study was conducted in South Africa at a selected higher education institution. Using SPSS 23 and AMOS 23 software programs, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was performed to analyse the data set. The results re-vealed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitudes towards a mo-bile application, intention to use a mobile application were all significant predic-tors for the actual use of mobile applications for learning. In this study to develop an experimental study to determine the basic robotic coding skills of preschool students with intellectual disabilities. The sample of the study consists of a total of 20 students with studying in pre-school education institutions in a city in Türkiye. The ages of the students are between 5 years old. Semi-experimental design, one of the experimental research designs, was used in the research. In this context, 1 experimental and 1 control group was formed with the random assignment method. The materials used in both the experimental and control groups were determined as the pre-school robotic coding set U-bot starter package.5 weeks were determined as the teaching process and a total of 12 activities that served the purpose were applied to the students. During the applications, the data of the students were collected with the help of the observation form, coding skill test and after the application, they were collected through focus group interviews. As a result, at the end of the 5-week period, it was observed that there were positive significant changes in the two dependent variables (academic achievement andlearning rate) that were used as a basis for measuring the learning skills of both the experimental group and the control group students. In this paper, we consider routing issues in WMN. Then, we proposed an on-demand routing protocol, adaptive multi-channel multi-interface operation, improved from the AODV protocol. This protocol is capable of effectively managing communication in the WMN and limited effects of co-channel interference. The simulation results on NS2 show that our proposed protocol improves throughput, delay and packet delivery rate compared to existing traditional protocols. Nevertheless, studying the factors affecting the adoption of e-payment systems in higher educational institutions is a new research trend. Thus, this study is considered one of the few that attempts to investigate the factors affecting the e-payment systems adoption in six different universities in the United Arab of Emirates (UAE). A total number of 289 students took part in the study. This study proposed a new research model in which the students’ intention to use the e-payment systems are affected by five different factors including perceived benefit, performance expectancy, perceived risk, perceived security/privacy, and trust. The partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach was used to validate the research model. The empirical results suggested that perceived benefit and performance expectancy have a significant positive relationship with the students’ intention to use e-payment systems, whereas perceived security/privacy and perceived risk exhibited a significant negative relationship. However, the results triggered out that trust has an insignificant relationship with the students’ intention to use e-payment systems. The results acquired from this research provide a fresh and an up-to-date information on the e-payment systems adoption in the higher educational institutions. The behavior of networks becomes unstable once the first node dies. The key challenge in such networks is how to reduce energy consumption to increase the network lifetime, especially with the different amount of energy in heterogeneity environments.In this paper, the virtual backbone routing solution is suggested to reduce energy consumption in a wireless sensor network. An integrated approach combines both advantages of hierarchical cluster-based architecture and shortest spanning tree topology for constructing a virtual backbone with a mobile sink. The clustering solution is used to divide the network into clusters and reduces the number of nodes included in the communication. On the other hand, the shortest spanning tree technique is used to construct a backbone among all cluster heads and mobile sink every time the sink traverses to a new location. The proposed approach aims to construct an efficient data aggregation spanning tree used to send or receive data between the mobile sink and elected cluster heads in wireless sensor networks. It constructs an efficient virtual backbone to decrease the energy consumption and prolong the lifetime of the network.Performance evaluation results demonstrate how the proposed approach prolongs the lifetime of wireless sensor networks compared to some conventional clustering protocols.
