<text>No institution, including the courts, can disregard technology. This article discusses the role of the courts in the uptake of technology. It considers the question of how to best incorporate useful technologies while maintaining the fundamentally human character of courts as public institutions. It assesses some of the challenges that may arise along the way. These include practical obstacles such as the need for behavioural change across the profession, ensuring access to (and not obstruction of) justice, and the implications of the use of big data and artificial intelligence for public trust and confidence in the courts as core public institutions.</text>

<text>The continuous advancements in wireless network systems have reshaped the healthcare systems towards using emerging communication technologies at different levels. This paper makes two major contributions. Firstly, a new monitoring and tracking wireless system is developed to handle the COVID-19 spread problem. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), i.e., drones, are used as base stations as well as data collection points from Internet of Things (IoT) devices on the ground. These UAVs are also able to exchange data with other UAVs and cloud servers. Secondly, this paper introduces a new reinforcement learning (RL) framework for learning the optimal signal-aware UAV trajectories under quality of service constraints. The proposed RL algorithm is instrumental in making the UAV movement decisions that maximize the signal power at the receiver and the data collected from the ground agents. Simulation experiments confirm that the system overcomes conventional wireless monitoring systems and demonstrates efficiency especially in terms of flexible continues connectivity, line-of sight visibility, and collision avoidance.</text>

<text>Many studies promise that virtual reality (VR) applications will be one of the most used tools in foreign language learning. This is because VR keeps learners engaged, motivated, and prepared with better communication skills due to the simulation of real-life environments. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing, it became difficult to use and practice newly learned language skills with real people directly. This paper proposes a social VR mobile application that can be used anytime anywhere to offer a set of different VR environments that simulate real-life situations in order to learn and practice the English language. The application aims to improve speaking skills by offering a private session with a native speaker tutor or a community of learners to practice speaking. It combines the benefits of mobile learning, social networks, and VR. Initial usability testing results showed that the application is simple and easy to use, with some problems discovered and resolved. The application demonstrates that applying VR tools could contribute positively to learning English among the language learners using it.</text>

<text>Energy wastage through irresponsible smartphone use comprises a significant sum. Using a secondary desk-based literature review, this paper evaluates con-temporary literature to calculate an approximate estimate of the amount of energy wasted through irresponsible smartphone use by US users on an annual basis. Conservative estimates purely based on overcharging of smartphones in the US suggest that the figure is in excess of US$400m per annum. A variety of factors contribute to irresponsible smartphone use, which are predominantly behavioral in nature. This paper highlights some of the impacts of excessive smartphone use and considers steps which might be taken by users themselves to reduce energy wastage during smartphone use. In addition, suggestions are made to manufac-turers to help them ‘nudge’ users into more responsible behavior through the principles of behavioral economics.</text>

<text>— Based on preliminary observations on the implementation of Graphic Design learning, it is indicated that it is only limited to using printed module media, lecture methods, guided practice and not yet using media with android technology. This study aims to: (1) Generate a practical learning media for Graphic Design based on Android Technology. (2) Producing Learning Media Graphic Design based on Effective Android Technology. This research is a Research and Development. This study uses a study design development with 4D development model that consists of four main stages, namely, Define (definition), Design (design), Develop (development), and Disseminate (deployment). Based on the practicality test, the practicality test value was 85%. Effectiveness Test of learning media for Android-based Graphic Design shows effective results , this is also shown with a significant level of 0,000 <0.05, which means that there are significant differences between Student Learning Outcomes before being given an Android-based media ( Pretest ) and learning outcomes students after being given an Android-based media ( Posttest ) in the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Padangs.</text>

This study uses a 4D (four-D) development method for the development of augmented reality application technology and uses a survey method for validity. This AR application will be validated by 12 experts, while the respondents used in filling out the needs analysis questionnaire at the define stage (four-D) are students and lecturers of Informatics Engineering Education, Padang State University. The results of this study indicate that on the analysis of the achievement of the learning process, it can be seen that there are still expectations and advantages in the achievement of the learning process desired by lecturers and students, where the learning process is still in the sufficient category and 80%, students need development of technology as complement reality to be used as learning media in the learning process. The validation test also shows that the augmented reality application technology is included in the valid category with an average value of V value of 0.933. So, it cannot be denied that the augmented reality application technology is valid to be used in the learning process.</text>

<text>This study aims to examine information technology students' perceptions toward the use of virtual reality technology, their behavioral intention to use such technology for educational purposes, and the relationship between their perceptions toward the use of virtual reality technology and their behavioral intention to use virtual reality technology for educational purposes. The study used a descriptive and cross-sectional survey research design. The data collection tool was developed based on the second Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology UTAUT2 framework. Data were collected from participants using an online questionnaire. The number of participants was 147 undergraduate information technology students. The results showed that the participants had variations in their perceptions of virtual reality technology. The results showed that participants had positive perceptions of hedonic motivation and effort expectancy concerning the use of virtual reality. However, the students had close to neutral perceptions of performance expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, price value, and habits concerning the use of virtual reality. Furthermore, the results showed that the students had a positive behavioral intention to use virtual reality for educational purposes. Part of students' positive behavioral intention to use virtual reality for educational purposes can be ascribed to their perceptions of effort expectancy, performance expectancy, social influence, hedonic motivation, price value, facilitating conditions, and habits concerning the use of virtual reality. Students' perceptions of performance expectancy concerning virtual reality had the greatest effect on their behavioral intention to use virtual reality for educational purposes. Based on the findings, a set of recommendations was provided.</text>

This approach consists of three schemes, the first one based on reserve an extra ports for handover purposes by implementing a software solution that control BTS ports. The second alternative scheme based on channel exchange between adjacent BTSs by shifting a chosen allocated signal to another adjacent free BTS and then allocating the new signal to the new free port. The third schema depends on carrying the Handover problem to another BTS to solve it if it didn't solved in the second schema.</text>

<text>Smart city is a strategy of supporting new way of living using data that are collected from different types of electronic devices, analyzed and utilized to enable efficient resource usability and service optimization. Applications of various nature are elaborated in the smart cities, such as traffic planning applications, crowd monitoring, public health care, security, economy and urban planning. Thus, various requirements are needed to incorporate and facilitate efficient development of these applications in the smart city design. Accordingly, smart city can be distinguished via the requirements that support these applications. In this study, the requirements of smart city in relations to the involved applications and its influence on the smart city design are discussed. A list of smart city requirements is concluded and the potentials of various network architecture to facilitate such requirements are discussed. Based on the requirements and the architectures, the existing smart city designs are evaluated and compared. </text>
