<text>Conventional approaches to tackling malware attacks have proven to be futile at detecting never-before-seen (zero-day) malware. Research however has shown that zero-day malicious files are mostly semantic-preserving variants of already existing malware, which are generated via obfuscation methods. In this paper we propose and evaluate a machine learning based malware detection model using ensemble approach. We employ a strategy of ensemble where multiple feature sets generated from different n-gram sizes of opcode sequences are trained using a single classifier. Model predictions on the trained multi feature sets are weighted and combined on average to make a final verdict on whether a binary file is malicious or benign. To obtain optimal weight combination for the ensemble feature sets, we applied a grid search on a set of pre-defined weights in the range 0 to 1. With a balanced dataset of 2000 samples, an ensemble of n-gram opcode sequences of n sizes 1 and 2 with respective weight pair 0.3 and 0.7 yielded the best detection accuracy of 98.1% using random forest (RF) classifier. Ensemble n-gram sizes 2 and 3 obtained 99.7% as best precision using weight 0.5 for both models.</text>

<text>This study was undertaken to address the need to modernize the modes of teaching and learning pedagogy by taking advantage of the proliferation of electronic gadgets and mobile devices since, as counted there are more computers than the people in the world (Boren, 2014). This research found out how learning in the new platform could be adopted by teachers and students. In addition, it tested the different variables involved in the use of mobile in learning by faculty and students of Centro Escolar University (CEU) to determine factors that made implementing technology a success or a failure. To attain the set objectives, this study made use of descriptive and inferential method to the data gathered from respondents via stratified random sampling. Specifically, it employed frequency, mean, standard deviation, t-test, analysis of variance and multiple linear regressions for the treatment of data derived from the survey questionnaires. To complete the triangulation approach and for consistency of findings, observation and interview were also conducted.Subsequently, in order to determine adoption to mobile learning the modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model was employed. This model shows relationship of moderating variables which are age, gender, voluntariness of use and experience from independent variables like performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, anxiety and self-efficacy. After all the statistical treatments were applied, Anxiety, Self-Efficacy, Effort Expectancy, Performance Expectancy and Facilitating Condition contribute to the success of the introduction of technology to the organization, while social influence was excluded as the reasons why users adopt it.</text>

<text>Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (a cleanliness campaign) was initiated in 2014 under the regime of the NDA government. As the name signifies, the term ‘Swachh' denotes cleanliness in Sanskrit. In its nascent stages, the program attempted to ameliorate waste management – most predominantly open defecation and efficient utilization of resources. With the primary motive of having a hygienic surrounding environment for its people, the government of India initiated sundry cleanliness drives under this campaign. However, the conceptualisation and formulation of plans is one aspect – the praxis, i.e., the practical implementation of these plans is another important consideration altogether, which is perhaps the primary concern for the Government of India – for, if there is an inability to acquire mass involvement and participation then there is an automatic implication of failure. By having a comprehensive understanding of the motivational factors and attitudinal characteristics that members of a given community harbor – it would be relatively efficient at gaining mass involvement. Consequently, by addressing those factors and formulating plans on the basis of such fundamental facets there could be an exponential rate of success for such programs. Adding on to the literature and knowledge, which pre-exists within this domain, the subsequent research can aid in the better understanding of social perceptual phenomena and the successful implementation of programs related to campaigns addressing such issues. The study undertaken had a sample size of 1000 respondents. The findings of the paper suggest that the cumulative assessment across the concerned thematic factors (political, social, environmental, and communicational) apropos the initiative indicate an effective social (r)evolution with respect to the perceptual notions of the sample population involved.

<text>Optimal production planning is one of the essential aspects of achieving company targets. Errors in planning production result in non-maximum profit gains. Furthermore, there needs to be a method to avoid mistakes in production planning, and it is necessary to use the proper technique. Xyz Convection is one of the businesses producing unique clothing for pants. This study aims to determine the optimization of XYZ convection production in maximizing profits using linear programming. Surveys and interviews with business owners of Xyz Convection carried out data collection. The data obtained are in the form of data on the use of raw materials, operating costs, margins, and selling prices. The amount of raw material inventory of jeans fabric in the 1st week is 550, in the 2nd week is 775, in the 3rd week is 550, and in the 4th week is 650. The method used in this study is linear programming, using the simplex method. The optimal solution is to obtain maximum profit from the production of convection pants every week with a fund of 21,000,000 IDR to produce 1.167 pcs of cotton shorts, where the company will earn a profit of 35,010,000 IDR with expenses less than the existing funds, which is 20,982,147 IDR.</text>

<text>In previous research, an automatic hand sanitizer prototype tool was made to prevent COVID-19. The product design in this research is quite complicated and too large. Then, in other studies, a prototype tool has also been made to measure body temperature. The study also had an inefficient prototype design. So, it can be concluded that no product design model is efficient, simple, and has its charm. In this research, the concept design method consists of several stages: planning, measurement, design, and implementation. To identify the production needs that will be used in making AMPUH product design, researchers carry out measurement stages based on a schematic series (Schematic) of the product to be made. AMPUH product designs are made with shapes and models that have been adapted to their components without reducing the aesthetic value, compatibility, complexity, and design applicability. The advantage of this product design is that it always looks at the compatibility with the components that will be installed in it so that it is certain that both in terms of form and function will work well. The drawback of this product design may still leave a little free space in it to minimize the remaining free space and repair.</text>

<text>In this paper we suggest a promising solution to come over the problems of delivering e-learning to areas with lack or deficiencies in infrastructure for Internet and mobile communication. We present a simple, reasonably priced and efficient communication platform for providing e-learning. This platform is based on wireless ad-hoc networks. We also present a preemptive routing protocol suitable for real-time video communication over wireless ad-hoc networks. Our results show that this routing protocol can significantly improve the quality of the received video. This makes our suggested system not only good to overcome the infrastructure barrier but even capable of delivering a high quality e-learning material.</text>

When personal data become a commodity, social media company can share users data to another party such as government. Facebook, inc is one of the social media company that frequently asked for user’s data. Although this private data request mechanism through a formal and valid legal process, it still undermine the fundamental right to information privacy. In This Case, social media users need protection against privacy violation from social media platform provider itself. Private chat is the most favorite feature of a social media. Inside a chat room, user can share their private information contents. Cryptography is one of data protection methods that can be used to hides private communication data from unauthorized parties. In our study, we proposed a system that can encrypt chatting content based on AES and multi-layered MD5 to ensure social media users have privacy protection against social media company that use user informations as a commodity. In addition, this system can make users convenience to share their private information through social media platform.</text>

<text>Mobile based culinary recommendation system has received significant attention in recent mobile application research . Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) has regained popularity in supporting multi-criteria decision making due to this method allowing inclusion of many factors and criteria into the decision making process. Previous works on mobile based scenario culinary recommendation system reveal that TOPSIS stand out from other recommendation approaches like AHP and Fuzzy by providing a lightweight computation algorithm that have promising performance in time complexity. However, computing a culinary recommendation using TOPSIS has own limitations especially in the menu judgment processes due to the alternatives priority only include personal preferences for recommendation. In such a culinary recommendation system scenario, users more likely search culinary menus in group instead of alone. This research aims to develop a culinary recommendation system based on group decision support system (GDSS) using TOPSIS that possible to calculate a recommendation by using group preferences instead of personal preferences. The experimental results show that the overall functional of proposed GDSS gives better recommendation result. GDSS using TOPSIS have 100% rank consistency for 6 group of users with 5 combination of menus. The accuracy testing shows that 83,33 % recommendation of GDSS TOPSIS are match with real user preferences. Furthermore, it can be run well in various type of Android smartphone.</text>

<text>The modelling of sea environment is important in designing an effective motion control system for any marine vehicle. Inadequate representation of the components of a typical random sea might lead to poor performance of the control system. A multiple output system such as the one having components of wave elevation and slope, facilitates designing the control system taking into account the different degrees of freedom. The method of modelling the sea environment presented here, provides the basis for the design of motion control systems for multiple degree of freedom cases, which give rise to excitation forces and moments acting on the marine vehicle. The method used here models the sea environment using Gaussian white noise and shaping filter to generate a multiple output form of the random sea state. In the first step a given standard wave spectrum is approximated using a rational polynomial, the coefficients of the polynomial are obtained by least square fitting method to best match the spectrum. The established rational polynomial is then decomposed to get the transfer function of the shaping filter. The wave slope spectrum is similarly approximated using the same rational polynomial. The transfer functions of the two components of amplitude and slope, representing the filters are combined to generate a state space form. Using the white noise as input, the state space form obtains the wave elevation and slope as outputs. By performing spectral analysis using Welch method, the quality of the obtained output is checked against the targetted spectrum. The application of the simulated wave slope spectrum in a closed loop state space model is demonstrated as applied to the roll stabilization characteristics of a stationary ship using a passive tank.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jname.v11i1.17768</text>

<text>This brief article reports on an exploration of students’ adoption of smartphone technology and social media to promote m-learning in the context of a state polytechnic classroom. To this end, a mixed-methods approach was employed. A quantitative survey involved 221 students across education programmes in an Indonesian vocational higher education, and six of them were asked to write a reflection after a course. Findings of the current study have revealed that students’ attitude and connectedness to the smartphone and social media play prominent roles in determining their acceptance of smartphones and social media for m-learning. Specifically, the students’ connectedness, perceived ease of use and perceived playfulness of using social media for m-learning affected their attitude. Findings of the study also revealed that students’ mobile learning using the smartphone helped develop their learning motivation, facilitated learning activities and enabled interaction amongst the students, and between teachers and students. Students also benefited from the use of the smartphone by which means they could share information and materials about the learning, enabled peer-assessment and feedback. Two critical issues that were found included limited smartphone features and less space for interaction and explanation.</text>
