<text>Websites design and quality becomes a critical success factor especially for Electronic University (E-University) and/or Mobile University (M-University) as a part of E-Government and/or M-Government; because websites are the main interface between the universities and its students and stakeholders. This study presents factors that affect undergraduate studentsâ?? adoption of website-service quality by applying the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) in Jordan. The proposed model was empirically tested using data collected from a survey containing 24 questions. Out of the 450 questionnaires that were randomly distributed, 422 were returned (93.8%). The structural equation modeling technique (SEM), by using the WarpPLS 3.0 software, was used to evaluate the causal model. Results show that student adoption and use of university website services can be predicted from the studentsâ?? behavioral intentions, which are affected significantly by performance expectancy and effort expectancy. The results show that social influence, website quality, and facilitating conditions have no direct significant effect on behavioral intention to use university website services even they have a medium grand mean for the scores of responses statements. Finally, as an ultimate aspiration, it was found that there is a direct effect between behavioral intention and actual behavioral to use university website services. Furthermore, the authors hope that understanding the underlying assumptions and theoretical constructs through the use of the UTAUT will assist developers in building, developing and maintaining a university website.</text>

<text>“Nostalgia in marketing is a marketing strategy that brands use; they use themes or products from the past in their current marketing strategy to create a unique emotional feeling in customers.” (Jones, 2015) Nostalgia is a psychological phenomenon which many brands use by aligning their products and/or services with their consumers’ positive memories of the past. This paper offers evidence that nostalgia marketing actually works through the context of two popular brands across the Indian subcontinent: Rasna and Tang. This paper also analyzes how various factors such as age, gender, and religious festivals impact nostalgia marketing. It investigates how nostalgia directly impacts consumers’ purchase behavior, their repurchase decisions, their loyalty, their trust towards the brands, and their product recommendations.

<text>Enterprises are adopting the Internet of Things paradigm as a strategy to improve competitiveness. But enterprises also need to rely on their legacy systems, which are of vital importance to them and normally difficult to reconfigure or modify, their mere replacement being usually not affordable. These systems constitute, therefore, barriers to agility and competitiveness, raising the need to develop cost-effective ways for IoT adaptation. An approach for adapting legacy manufacturing systems into the IoT realm is proposed in this research. The methodology is twofold: an adaptation board is firstly designed to provide IoT connectivity, allowing to remotely invoke the “legacy” functionality as services. Then, the board itself can leverage the legacy system by developing additional functionalities inside it, as the update process is usually triggered by the need of new functionality from these systems. An experiment, which consists of adapting to IoT a small distribution line that is controlled by an aged Programmable Logic Controller, is developed to illustrate how straightforward, affordable and cost effective the adaptation approach is, allowing to holistically achieve a new system with more sophisticated functionality.</text>

<text>In flapping underwater vehicles the propulsive performance of harmonically sinusoidal heaving and pitching foil will be degraded by some awkward changes in effective angle of attack profile, as the Strouhal number increases. This paper surveys different angle of attack profiles (Sinusoidal, Square, Sawtooth and Cosine) and considers their thrust production ability. In the wide range of Strouhal numbers, thrust production of Square profile is considerable but it has a discontinuity in heave velocity profile, in which an infinite acceleration exists. This problem poses a significant defect in control of flapping foil. A novel profile function is proposed to omit sharp changes in heave velocity and acceleration. Furthermore, an optimum profile is found for different Strouhal numbers with respect to Square angle of attack profile.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jname.v10i2.14229</text>

This paper proposes a context-aware model of corporate learning and working scenarios in e-retail environment such as shops and hypermarkets. This scenario model enables us to select how to achieve activities according to the current situation. We outline the semantic description of web services to enable the selection, composition and execution of web services to achieve objectives specified by learning and working activities. We propose a context-aware and adaptive model for pervasive learning systems. This model enables the selection of the relevant methods or services to realize activities according to the current situation. Moreover, we also build and develop an Intelligent Selling Space (ISS) architecture that serves as an infrastructure for service management and execution in e-retail environment.</text>

<text>The hydrodynamic behaviour of a fast fine vessel is of great importance than that of a fuller vessel as the fast fine vessels are engaged for important operations. Moreover with the advent of modern computers, in ship hydrodynamics, 3-D source distribution method is gaining much popularity and normally applied for blocky hull. But in the case of finer hull, examples are rare especially considering forward speed effect. With these views in mind, in the present research work, effort has been given to develop a mathematical model for fine shape vessel to predict and simulate her motions in irregular waves. A computer program has been developed on the basis of mathematical model and to examine the validity of the developed program, results for hydrodynamic coefficient and motions of a series 60 ship have been compared with Gerristma's experimental results and with the results based on other codes. After validation of the program, simulation of motions of an existing the fine shape ship has been carried out at Hiron point of the Bay of Bengal by utilizing hydrodynamic coefficients and wave exciting forces and moments obtained in regular waves and a new wave spectrum formula based on wave data at the concerned location. On the basis of the results presented, it may be concluded that the developed model based on 3-D distribution technique can be applied for prediction of motion of fine shape ship with forward speed effect. Moreover limitations of operation of the vessel have been demonstrated at various combinations of significant wave heights and speeds. doi:10.3329/jname.v2i2.1870 Â Journal of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering 2(2005) 25-40</text>
