<text>The book, India and Asian Geopolitics: The Past, Present is a thesis of Shivshankar Menon’s discussion with young students of International Relations at Ashoka University. The generation of students, he teaches, is mostly born in the 21st century, the time when India is already in a race to achieve the status of an influential state along with other Asian states. He advocates that Asia, presently, is at the centre of world politics. In highlighting the success of the Asian states, he writes: “India and China have eliminated more poverty in a shorter amount of time than any other nations in history. Several Asian states have acquired the agency in the international system unprecedented in their modern history.”</text>

<text>Personalization and effective user profile management will be critical to meet the individual usersâ?? needs and for achieving e-Inclusion and e-Accessibility. This paper outlines means to achieve the goal of the new ICT era where services and devices can be personalized by the users in order to meet their needs and preferences, in various situations. Behind every instance of personalization is a profile that stores the user preferences, context of use and other information that can be used to deliver a user experience tailored to their individual needs and preferences. Next Generation Networks (NGN) and the convergence between telephony and Internet services offer a wide range of new terminal and service definition possibilities, and a much wider range of application in society. This paper describes the personalization and profile management activities at European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) Technical Committee Human Factors, together with relevant experimentations in recent European research projects.</text>

<text>The paper provides a comprehensive overview of European radical parties. The main aim of this paper is to examine whether there are common patterns regarding these parties, and to analyse the implications of this phenomenon. In order to achieve the above, the paper proceeds as follows: Firstly, the phenomenon of political radicalisation in contemporary Europe is explored. This leads to mapping the radical political landscape in Europe. Finally, the paper concludes with the analysis of the possible outcomes of radicalisation of European politics including the possible societal effects. By doing so the paper argues that a fresh theoretical approach to comprehend the phenomenon is necessary.</text>

<text>Context awareness is essential in mobile learning being a highly personalized environment with diverse capabilities. Major challenges of context awareness are to define the learning context, how to sense it, and how to react to changes. Our proposed system provides a general architecture that facilitates contextualization using current widely-used web standards. It provides a systematic approach to achieve contextualization defining major components and their functionalities without deepening into details. It uses web services to connect to resources making them reusable and distributable. In addition, all technologies and platforms proposed in our system are available under General Public License (GPL) hence facilitating immediate implementation. The paper ends with a real world scenario where m-Learning could be the only solution.</text>

<text>Liberating third world, Muslim women from the clutches of oppressive Arab men has proven to be a popular and seductive justification for the military invasion of various Middle Eastern states throughout history. Individuals that support the ‘liberation’ of women of colour through military occupations argue that women in these ‘third world states’ are oppressed and require the assistance of a western military invasion to facilitate their liberation. This stems from viewing Arab women as mainly docile and passive individuals rather than active participants of their lives and destinies engaging in their own forms of resistance. Yet, a growing number of scholars and feminists are beginning to question the possibility of liberating women through the very forces that oppress them- namely imperialism and militarism. This paper- through a case study of Iraq- is similarly critical of the possibility of liberating women through a military invasion. It attempts to answer questions such as; how are women living in ‘post-liberated’ Iraq versus under Saddam, and what do their daily struggles look like, in its endeavour to paint a picture of the status of the various groups of women in Iraqi society pre and post 2003 invasion. The paper argues Iraqi women experience their society and the Baath regime differentially based on a combination of factors such as their social class, place of residence- urban or rural, political affiliation and so on. Thus rather than viewing Iraqi women as a homogenous group of oppressed women that require western military assistance for their liberation the paper encourages individuals to pay more attention to the grassroots. Only when the oppressed and exploited participate in the process of their liberation can the endeavor be successful.</text>

<text>The specific purpose of this development is to develop a practicum module containing augmented reality (AR) which is used for Cultural Anthropology courses which are arranged systematically, and refers to clearly measurable learning objectives. The specification of the innovation product developed is in the form of a practicum module containing augmented reality (AR) which is used for the Cultural Anthropology course in the even semester with the name Augmented Reality Based Cultural Anthropology Module or Modul Antropologi Budaya Berbasis Augmented Reality (MABAR). This development is of course also based on several other reasons, namely based on the results of interviews with several students who have taken the Cultural Anthropology course, it was revealed that: 1) students have difficulty understanding one of the materials about anthropological works (ethnography), 2) when doing practical going to the field to conduct mini-research based on ethnography, students find it difficult because there is no systematic practicum guide. The research method used is the research and development method with the Borg and Gall development cycle model. There are 10 steps in R & D developed by Borg, Gall, and Gall. The conclusion in this development research is the feasibility of MABAR. The results of the development refer to the results of the assessment of material experts, media experts, and limited trials in the form of student responses. The average score of expert validation results, namely material experts is 85% in the very feasible category, while the results of media expert validation are 88% in the very feasible category, and the average student test results are 86.5% in the very feasible category. Thus MABAR is declared feasible to be used in the learning process.</text>

Nepal is an oldest nation-state of South Asia and its democracy had been, for a number of times, suspended or dismissed which forced Nepali leaders to exile in India. It still continues in different ways. Nepal’s political development is directly or indirectly influenced by political activism in India. India has been important ‘space’ for Nepal’s political change and it also has been a place for migrant’s political activism since a long time.
Out of several Nepali migrants’ organizations in India, some are active in transnational political mobilizations. This study will look into the concept, evolution and contemporary discourse of the political transnationalism. It examines in the framework of transnationalism; development process of major political parties in Nepal, and situation of Nepali migrant’s political activisms in India and their associations with homeland politics.</text>

<text>Migration to India of Nepali workers is a historical phenomenon. Due to 'open border' and multidimensional inter-linkages, migration for work persists to this day. The importance and challenges of the labour market for Nepali migrants in India are yet to be recognized and studied. This study examines the existing skill endowments of Nepali migrant workers and strategies to enhance their labour market outcomes in India. The Indian labour market is fragile. Recruitment neither follows a strict rule or process nor are any specific skills required. From this standpoint, the situation of Nepali migrant workers is not much different than India’s internal migrants. However, Nepali migrants are neither well documented nor properly recruited in the labour markets of India. Because of their low level of education and lack of skill, they are deprived of good job opportunities and their income is also low. Most of the Nepali migrants are not netted in by the social security scheme of India. This study suggests that education; training for skills and social security benefits can go a long way in improving the labour market outcomes of the Nepali migrants.</text>

<text>The government initiative in the implementation of smart city concept is an effort in the management of a city. In the governance of a town, public service is one of the most important aspects. Improving public services requires public role because the society is the direct users of public services. One role of the community in improving public service is to provide information or complaint to the government. However, the media where the public reports such information has yet been optimum. Therefore, the researcher assumed that the public needs certain media as well as some support system where they can make complaints related to public service. The support system is in the form of e-complaint system installed on smartphones equipped with geotagging techniques to determine exactly where the complaint is made (location) and geofencing method to determine which territory the complaint belongs to. In this study, the researcher explained the process of designing module for geotagging and geofencing-based e-complaint system. Several experiments were conducted to find out the accuracy of these techniques. With 94% accuracy, geofencing was a suitable technique to apply. In addition, geotagging techniques using EXIF of a digital image was considered the most suitable technique for the e-complaint system rather than other geotagging techniques.</text>
